The Day of The Krawk

A long time ago,
Before the first Hissi hissed.
The was a new kind of pet,
That Neopia missed.

Before the island sprung up,
There was nary a sight.
Not a claw to be seen,
Not a scale from a fight.

But there was a deep hole,
a Lupe couldn’t fill.
An Usul nor Eyrie
Could quite fit the bill.

Then they appeared!
Swift and sleek,
As a predator stalks.
“Tadaima, Neopets!”
(Welcome home Krawk!)

An academy sprung up,
Doubloons flooded the market.
And as Krawks set up slots,
No pet could say, 
“Who had started it?”

Next were the plushies.
Then came the potions.
As quick as the island,
Had sprung from the ocean.

Soon Neopets thought:
There’s no explanation!
Til Lenny Conundrum,
Finally took a vacation.

He found deep within,
The fungus cave
Petpets who ate,
Could not be saved.

At last, mystery revealed!
No more rhyme, enough talk!
It’s time to sing out our praise,
For the day of the Krawk!

Pink Krawk Hair

Crazy is the Pink Krawk Hair,
Combed upwards in a mohawk.
Striped with pink and lavender,
It's gaudy as a peacock!

Put this wig upon your Krawk
And see the transformation.
Krawk becomes a wild-haired pet,
A pastel aberration!

Hair so spiky, high and bold,
But tinted pink and fuchsia.
Attitude is fierce and punk,
But colored like a diva!

A look that's full of brilliance!

The Hunt for a Krawk

Four months after Krawk Island was found,
A new species of Neopet was found lurking on the ground.
A species now known far and wide,
You can find it across Neopia from side to side.

This pet is so elusive that even on its day of celebration,
You can’t even create it much to our frustration.
Alas, the only way to create a krawk,
Is to feed a Krawk petpet some special fungus much to our shock.

Although creating a krawk may be to our despair,
Morphing your pet is another way to get there.
These can be found on the Forgotten Shore,
And at the Magic Potion store.

Finding a Krawk petpet can prove to be elusive,
But we have just learned that it need not be conclusive.
For a krawk morphing potion will fill you with glee,
It will leave you with your new little beasty.

A Krawk Island Holiday

The largest port in all of Neopia,
bustling with trade and revelry,
full of characters, faces old and young,
a place lacking in garish heraldry.

Wharf Warf, a favoured shanty town,
with a history of piracy and plunder,
now tasked with taking the nation's trade,
yet it is still far from somber.

Take a trip to see the Fungus Caves,
or a stroll along white-washed shores,
perhaps you could seek out the fabled Pirate Caves,
full of treasure, story and lore.

Or if a little flutter is more your thing,
never fear, Krawk Island has it all.
Take a gamble at a game of Bilge Dice,
or if you're feeling lucky, give Food Club a call.

And if you're feeling really brave,
Scurvy Island is not far by sea,
you might catch sight of a famous pirate
though you'd best be prepared to flee!

To finish off a wonderful island day out,
why not take a souvenir back home?
An eye-patch or a striped bandana,
or perhaps a necklace made from bones?

Krawk Island - Gone!

One mysterious day,
A famous tale now.
Have you heard it? You may,
The what, the where, the how. 

It was a few years ago, 
Krawk Island disappeared - gone!
A mystery,  we didn't know the foe,
We searched dusk til dawn.

Small islands were found, 
As before there was Krawk Island.
Scattered all around,
Not as the pirate homeland. 

Many pitched in, helped out,
To drag the islands back.
A great effort,  no doubt, 
A single one,  with a shack. 

There he was, Gavril McGill,
A great krawk, he is.
Coordinating our efforts with skill,
The title Governor, now his

Those islands back as one,
Krawk Island is once more.
Held together, work done,
The tale now island lore.

Mr. Krawley

This Krawk is quite a legend,
A gentleman of high class,
He's painted in a simple blue,
And his eyes are pale as glass.

He wears his top hat with such pride,
And grips his travel case.
If you see him, don't be scared,
Though he'll make your heart race.

His name is Mr. Krawley,
And if it's potions you've desired,
Keep on looking - move along,
This old Krawk is retired.

But, if wisdom's what you're seeking,
Then you could do far worse,
Than to listen to this Krawk,
(He once worked with a nurse!)

As wise as any scholar,
They say of Krawley Krawk,
And one of the greatest charlatans,
That's ever been in work.

Mrs Doppelganger

Neopets everywhere, young and old
Have all been brought up on the stories told
About a Krawk in a frightening manner,
An old lady known as Mrs Doppelganger.

Old Lady Doppel appears to be
A half-blind old lady and rather sweet.
But don't be fooled by what you see -
This Krawk is as evil as evil can be!

On Halloween, into her house she invites
Naughty Neopets who are easily enticed
With promises of treats and goodies galore,
But it's a different story when she closes that door!

What really happens, no one knows,
But this is how the rumour goes:
Old Lady Doppel is a murderous being
And the young Neopets are never again seen!

I've never met her, tell me - have you?
How do we know these tales are true?
It could be a ploy, simply a story made
To make young Neopets be good and behave.

Queen of the Darblats

Once upon a time, far across the sea,
There was a young Krawk, ambitious as could be.
She loved to stand on the ship deck and breath in the fresh air,
And wonder what kind of places she could find out there.

She would dream of the world, with all its strange parts
And felt a small fire burning deep in her heart.
The ship traveled on, for miles by the score,
As the Krawk simply yearned just to explore.

Then one day the ship made an unscheduled stop,
Needing more supplies, and hoping to swap.
The little Krawk was intrigued by this strange new land,
And so she disembarked to see what was at hand.

Unfortunately for the ship, and the Krawk too,
This island seemed to contain nobody to talk to.
It looked like a landscape that nothing would grow in.
In fact, the whole area was rather frozen!

They must go to some other place, the ship's crew conceded,
To obtain the supplies they so badly needed.
But as the great ship sailed away from its beach,
The young Krawk watched from the shore - feeling quite out of reach!

"This wasn't the plan!" she thought with dismay.
"I should have been on that ship! Things aren't going my way."
And she looked around this cold land where she had arrived,
She wondered how she would manage to survive.

Just then a little creature peeked over a snow hill
And the Krawk saw it, just as it let out a short trill.
The creature disappeared in a flurry of white and blue
Inviting her to follow it, the Krawk somehow knew.

Across the isle, this strange creature waddled on with persistence
As the Krawk curiously pursued it at a safe distance.
They traveled through valleys and piles of snow and ice,
And the Krawk hoped against hope that this creature was nice.

As the unlikely party crested their hundredth mountain,
The little critter started a-shouting,
The Krawk saw and approached the small colony of petpets
And she thought in gratitude that she had few regrets.

They brought her not only water and food,
But fine clothes and blue jewels, which brightened her mood.
And those kind petpets, in blue and in black,
Were constantly chirping what sounded like "blat!"

She named them Darblats, those generous creatueres
After that sound, a most distinctive feature.
And as they fawned over her, and she preened,
She decided to stay and serve as their queen.

Now the years passed, and the young Krawk grew weary,
Of waiting for rescue - well, that was her theory.
Though she was queen, each day was the same,
And though she was patient, no other Neopets ever came.

So the ambitious Krawk grew to become quite determined
To make others suffer, too, of that she was certain.
She made great plans and set her fixation
On her greatest revenge: world domination!

Her loyal subjects she sent far and wide
To steal the machine parts that would help decide
the fate of Neopia, for when the machine switch was thrown
it would turn all the world into a giant snow cone!

She knew she would have to defend her isle
Against the Defenders of Neopia, who would give her a trial.
So she armed herself with snowballs and freezing potions
So she'd be ready when they came 'cross the ocean.

And they did come, well, one fiery Scorchio
Who paused in the air over this world of snow.
He announced, "I am here to protect from what you do.
But first, I'd like to know - who are you?"

The Krawk readied for battle, for she would contend,
She would do anything to protect her plan and her land.
And she felt confident, she knew she was right,
When she yelled back, "I am Lady Frostbite!"

Why Krawkade is Kool

There are enough
Krawkade flavors
for each Neopian
to select and savor 
on a warm, hectic day.
I associate this
 refreshing drink with
the Altador Cup and Yooyuball,
but it is loved by all.
From Energyblast
to Strawberry and Grape,
one can't make a mistake!
Krawkade drinks, I know
is most enjoyed by those
who are always on the go!
But don't be surprised
if you see a 'Pet drinking
it at the beach -
some keep them within reach!
