PEOPHIN DAY SPECIAL
Pretty Peophins
by xxsicklullabiesxx
Pretty Peophins all about
Swimming to and fro
Careless free spirited creatures
No matter where they go.
Pretty Peophins in the sea
Floating all about
With long tails and flowing mains
They're great without a doubt.
Pretty Peophins that I love
They're oh so grand and swell
I see them in great Maraqua
A place I know so well.
Pretty Peophins comemmorate
They're celebrating with glee
For today is Peophin day!
And they'll celebrate for all to see.
Pretty Peophins all the time
Their beauty truly does astound.
Pretty Peophins every day
For they are wonderful year round.

The Song of the Peophin
by alyndasgallery
Can you hear them calling,
Voices echo through the air.
The Peophin are singing,
Voices clear and voices fair.
Can you hear them serenading,
Singing songs happy and sad.
You may not understand them,
But hearing them will make you glad.
Can you hear them harmonize,
Calling to each other true.
Their lament is quite haunting,
Though its mesmerizing too.
Can you hear them singing,
Creatures bellowing out their call.
Sweet sounds that beckon to you,
HAPPY PEOPHIN DAY TO ALL!

The Peophin Dive
by anjie
Where the waters deep do run,
Where sunlight breaks the blue.
Where golden beams do meet the sea,
And dappled, now break through.
There the toss of mane, aloft,
Cascades of colour, flow.
A creature, regal, rides the crest,
Then dives to depths below.
A fleeting glance of tail fins,
As crested wave doth break.
Yet little more than ripple, soft,
Does creature’s motion make.
Past the alabaster crest,
Beyond the golden light.
Deep within the cobalt depths,
Where blue fades into night.
There you’ll find the ones you seek,
Where creature’s herd doth run.
The canter-song of ocean hooves,
That play in dappled sun.
The coral seems a jumping bridge,
On seaweed green, they’ll graze.
Lost beneath the ocean’s depth,
So far from sunlight’s haze.
Peophins of ocean realm,
These creatures bold and fair.
The glimpse may be a treasured one,
And yet alas, so rare.
They dive again to endless depth,
The motion graceful, brave.
Then surfacing, they meet the sun,
And break the crested wave.

The Lady in the Lake
by tedettelogan
One morning, when my mind was weary
The weather dull, cloudy and dreary
I took a stroll to clear my head -
I will try to explain what I saw up ahead.
She glided with grace in the Kiko Lake
My heart, in that moment, was hers to take
I stood, mesmerized, by her beauty and poise
Then she made the most beautiful noise.
Like faeries singing, it filled me with tears
My heart swelled up and I forgot my fears
Her cries and laughter, had me truly besotted
The problems that had plagued me came unknotted.
The nearby Kikos danced on the water's edge
Whispers and giggles came from a trembling hedge
The place was alive, vibrant, it shone -
Though when I looked back, the Kikos had gone.
She noticed me then, with a glint in her eye
Her eyes sparkled with all the stars of the sky
She swooshed her long tail, threw back her mane
Dived under the water - and I was alone again.
I returned, eagerly, the following day
Only to find she had gone away
The place was quiet, lifeless, not a whisper
No Kikos in sight, the lake seemed to miss her.
I returned for many days, hours at a time
To this magical place that had healed my mind
But never did the lake erupt with life again
And I admitted defeat as my hopes were drained.
Many nights since, I couldn't help but feel
The wondrous sight may not have been real
Now, I fear, that my beloved Peophin
Was only a product of imagining.

Neopia's Most Magical
by pink84435
Enchanting and elegant,
slender and slim,
in the waters of Neopia swims the gorgeous Peophin.
As lovely as a faerie,
as lucky as a clover,
you'll find your spirits lifted
should a Peophin swim over.
Though quiet, unobtrusive,
the Peophin's not rude-
they have nothing but happiness to offer,
plus joy and gratitude.
So on their special day today,
and every other after,
smile towards a Peophin,
and find fortune and laughter.

Marak
by light_magical
The sea, the waves,
The foam a beckoning to enter the fray,
A trident, a helmet, a plate to guard
Your heart, your ever pulsating heart.
Sea Warrior, protect us from the evils that lurk,
Rage and rage, rage for us,
For our children, our elderly, our men and our women,
Waverider they call you, the Peophin Waverider,
but we just call you hero.
Your tail is an arrow slicing through the blue,
Your hooves, stones tossed
In the midst of enemy fire,
Your mass of hair, seaweed waving in the water,
The water, the ever precious water.
Protect us, oh clan leader, protect us dwellers of the sea,
Make the waters safe for us to play and eat
And laugh and cry,
And dance and sleep,
Protect us, oh Sea Warrior,
Protect us who live in the sea.

Oh, Peopatra!
by prettyobscure
A Peophin most worthy of celebration, indeed:
She welcomes every petpet, no matter their breed.
With open hooves and a loving heart,
Peopatra does her part!
A Peophin, indeed, most worthy of protection:
She gives back to Neopia with love and affection.
With extra care, she finds petpets new homes,
grateful neopets never have to be alone.
A Peophin worth celebrating! Oh, Peopatra!
"We can find room for one more," is her mantra,
and so I think, dear friends, we can find:
there's room in our hearts for a Peophin so kind.

The Call of Venuquin
by flufflepuff
Come, weary sailors,
Let me lead the way
Back to the land from whence you came.
Trust in me, sailors,
We'll soon be away
From the one who is seldom tame.
Come, ye despondent,
For water behaves
With mystery and fickle motion.
Do not despair, friends,
I am one who saves
From the turmoil of the ocean.
I cannot shield you
From needles of rain,
But glimmers of hope I can offer,
Follow, dear sailors,
Through salted wet pain--
Ye needn't drop ballast or coffer.
You are not faulted--
Great dangers you face
Where death and life harbor in tandem,
You've strength in sailing
The hungry wide space,
E'er set to embrace and abandon.
Come, weary sailors,
Let me lead the way,
And you shall return to your homeland.
Rest now, dear sailors,
An exhausted day
Will be left behind on the warm sand.

Peophin Limericks
by jlp2q2
Marak the Wave
Marak is the Peophin Waverider
who became one of Altador's insiders.
While riding the waves
he makes many saves,
protecting us, making the sea brighter.
Peopatra
There once was a lonely Maraquan,
whose wandering led her to Sakhmet.
She found petpets galore,
so she set up a store,
that's full of screeching, barking, and squawking.
Peophin Anatomy
What a wondrous pet is the Peophin:
in the rear like a Koi has a mighty fin,
but the legs like a Uni
in front rather puny
propel him, but I don't know how they can!

Daedelon
by dianacat777
Many Peophin warriors great
Have swum beneath this sun.
But none can match the tempest-burn
Of mighty Daedelon.
Bless’d by faeries of both the sea
And everlasting flame
This gallant, noble steed is great –
And anything but tame.
If dark your desperate hour comes
And your heart is true and pure:
Call his name, and by your side
Comes he, so brave and sure.
Upon his armored back, no-one
Could dare to truly ride.
He’ll deign to let you hang on while
He scythes through sea and sky.
Boiling surf and surging froth
Churn madly in his wake.
No task too tough, no foe too great
Ne’er thirst for glory slaked.
Evil cowers ‘neath his hooves,
Falls by his mighty tail.
And if they hold, his fiery breath
Ends battles without fail.
Daedelon, oh Daedelon,
Behold his majesty;
He, the steed of fire and land,
The steed of wind and sea.

Riding waves with Marak
by dr_tomoe
Off to the sea and shore
reading about Altadorian lore
The water crashes on the cliffs
bouncing about boats and skiffs
As the mist and waves crash
upon the rocks, they do smash
the watch leaves behind a wet splotch
and the area is under the faithful watch
Of Marak the Wave, the Peophin leader.
known to any book on Altador reader
And is one of the Altador twelve
as his power and ability did solve
The conflict between the two tribes
written for the ages by Altadorian scribes
between his group of Peophin Waveriders
moving along the water, like a glider.
And through this great and noble act
Marak and Altador created a pact
the shores of the country are protected
while the water and land are now connected.
