Neopets Through 19 Years

It's time to celebrate and play,
For today's Neopets's birthday!
Let's look back upon 19 years,
Of exciting merriment and cheers.

In year '99 Neopets was unveiled,
Soon after Dr. Sloth attacked and failed,
Then came invasion of Tyrannia's highland,
And later Lost Desert and Krawk Island.

Meridell and Darigan fought a war,
While a land of jelly appeared in year four,
Later joined Roo Island and Kiko Lake,
As more fighting left chaos in its wake.

Kreludor and Brightvale next to appear,
And Curse of Maraqua in the sixth year,
Qasala continued the discoveries anew,
Along with lands of Altador and Shenkuu.

Neovia came about from a tale quite vile,
As a journey sailed towards a lost isle,
The ninth year saw Dr. Sloth's return,
While explorers found Moltara's cavern.

The eleventh year saw Faerieland's fall,
And later a Krawken caused quite the brawl,
War of the Obelisk in the year fourteen,
And the Wraith Resurgence in Y18.

Now Neopets enters its nineteenth year,
Once a pioneer of internet's frontier,
It continues a legacy of imagination,
As we look forward to further narration.

Neopets 19th Birthday

On a normal evening, a little long a go, a small idea fleeting, a pet game to show.

And on the day of the fifteenth of December, 1999 would change forever. 

the year one was brisk, the kindling of a flame, and for all it's risk, it brought on fame. 

We look around and see the work of many hours, days, and years. and for that we are all thankful that it's here.

Neopets, you been longer around than many sols. But the years you been around you raise many a soul. People have grown up with the site, a reminder things are going to be all right. 

So thank you Neopets, for all the years you've been around, and for another 19 years you'll be here now.

And to the staff before I go, I must thank you for all the years of if/and statement code!

It's the month of storing,
It's Neopets' birthday,
It's the month where we sing,

Nineteen years ago it came to life,
To fulfill the days of many.
Will you create a Tigren or a Fleye?

Also there were many events,
For all kinds of segments,
There are game challenges and sport cups,
Logic puzzles and art contests!

In a land full of different places,
We can always look up for goodness.
Warriors and faerie graces,
They protect us from all the madness.

There are plenty of things to do here.
You might want to play some games,
Feed some Kadoaties,
Customize your Neopets,
Fight on the Battledome,
Restock on the shops.

But one thing is for sure,
No matter how many years go by,
This is true!
We can never say Neopets goodbye!

Nineteen sub-worlds exist within Neopia—
One for each year the site has been around.
From our adventures over these two decades
Fifty-five Neopets species have been found!

We have welcomed millions of neofriends
Since the distant memory of our Year One.
Along the way we settled wars, stopped plots,
Solved puzzles and always had some fun.

We are grateful on this birthday, we shan’t forget
All the memories and friendships we’ve made.
All of us wish you a Happy Birthday, Neopets!

Seventeen years I’ve been here
Many of us are, which takes loyalty to the next tier.

We can’t quit or leave
And we cheer for what the staff achieve!
We want greatness and glory for this place
Because this is a home, our virtual family and that’s not a disgrace!

We all wish for many more years
But for some of us that comes with fears
Is the staff ready for what the future will bring?
But I believe we can conquer everything!

I have faith you will listen to our voices
As you will all stand for difficult choices!
And work hard to give us many more years
Work towards more cheers!

We aren’t ready to let this place go
We are seriously still in our neopets flow!
Still tons of goals to achieve
Pets to obtain, avatars to gain. Anything but leave!

So I raise my glass to more years of joy

Today is a vibrant celebration,
A universal festival to herald the new year.
Neopia has passed its second decade,
Its birthday is finally here!

With tears and laughter, we remember Kass,
The discovery of Neovia, Maraqua, and more.
As years have gone by, we’ve bid somber farewells 
To the games in the Graveyard that we used to adore.

From the Ski Lodge Mystery to the new Lost Desert stream,
Through the plots we’ve played out for new worlds’ creations,
Neopia’s history is rife with dreams and with nightmares—
Like the Rainbow Fountain and pre-flash animations.

However, we mustn’t just look to the past.
The nostalgia is warm, but the future is bright.
If you’re new to the game and don’t know these stories,
Grab yourself a quill and begin to write!

The stories aren’t done after so many years,
Only built on the scrolls that were made before.
No Shore can ever truly be Forgotten
If the seas are still traveled and worlds still explored.

That can only mean one thing,

Today we celebrate,

It is Neopets birthday,
a day filled with so much cheer.

I cannot believe,

I cannot believe it has been that long, 
that we could log in and play.

I can't believe you are nineteen!
Just one year is left before
Your twenties are a thing!

And 'cause of that, I wanna say,

I've loved this site since I was ten,
I've drifted along the way,
But today I'm twenty-nine,
and I'm proud that I'm here to say:
