Ixi Day Special
A Ruined Ixi Day
by butter_bar12
With a toss of her horns, the Ixi sighs,
She looks up at the greyest skies
The clouds rustle, threatening rain,
Her Ixi Day now circles the drain
The storm will cancel the parade,
Her dreams of festivity start to fade
There will be no crowd ready to cheer,
No Ixi celebration to end the year
She wipes her tears with a trembling hoof,
Only to witness a soft green *poof*,
“Sophie, is that you?” she cries,
Hoping that her tears will dry
The Ixi Witch emerges from the air,
Decked in green, straight from her lair
Her Meowclops prowls down below
As the rain clouds begin to glow
With a lazy wave of her staff,
The Ixi witch begins to laugh
Her spell forces the rain into flight,
The sun emerges with dazzling light
Sophie smiles, “for one Ixi to another,
Grab your friends, sisters, brothers
Inside we shall not stay,
For today is our beloved Ixi Day!”

A Game of Shapeshifter
by natashabelx
Deep in the faraway lands of Meridell,
Where Sinsi the Ixi one day was beset by woes.
Adept at playing games which all could tell,
She grew tired of counting potatoes.
For her biggest passion out of all games was puzzles,
She devised a splendid new riddle for the brain.
A sword or a goblet - try and shift around the symbols,
The game she called Shapeshifter was made to entertain.
Shapeshifter awaits the hours you will commit,
Closely watching how the sequences unfold.
Attempt as many times as you see fit,
Dare to challenge Sinsi for that trophy of gold.

The Clash of Cogham Steppe: An Ixi Tale
by taluse
Amongst the brush of Cogham Steppe
The ixi wait in shadows
To raid the hapless travellers
Who wander near their barrows
They follow their clan chieftain
A fearless awful sort
He spies the smallest opening
and slips a little snort
But little did they know
the Cogham village had enough
They sent brave Tor, Roberta too
Who saw them in the brush
They met sword and spear and shield
In that clash they roared and leapt
The likes again we'll never see
Amongst the brush of Cogham Steppe

Brightvale Books Shopkeeper
by sk8tergirl503
In the ever bright Brightvale there is a place,
Hidden on the pathway, it takes up little space.
It is Brightvale Books! A gem of a store,
Though you go in for books, it offers much more.
The kind and gentle Ixi sits at the desk,
Ready to offer knowledge of the best.
She knows a lot there is to know
About Neopia, what to do, or where to go.
Just ask her for help and she’s sure to lend a hand,
Or a hoof rather, but regardless, the knowledge will be grand.
What a fitting place for Brightvale’s brightest!
Even if you’re not, you won’t feel bad in the slightest!
For the shopkeeper will welcome you into the books
So read to your heart’s content and don’t care about the looks
As they say, don’t judge a book by its cover
Don’t underestimate this Ixi the book lover.
And maybe next time you spin Brightvale’s wheel,
She’ll offer you wisdom there too - wow, what a steal!

The Ixi Trot
by secant
Come one, come all, don't be fraught.
Let's all do the Ixi Trot.
One hoof forward, one hoof back
Dance to the beat, pick up the slack!
Not quite like the Zafara Stomp
Or exactly the Grarrl Chomp,
The Ixi Trot has style and flair
With ball gowns galore and fancy hair.
You don't need tap shoes or a cane
Just remember to stay in your lane.
It's very easy to be taught
The basics of the Ixi Trot.
Come one, come all, don't be fraught.
Let's all do the Ixi Trot.
One hoof forward, one hoof back
Dance to the beat, pick up the slack!

The Ixis of Team Meridell
by precious_katuch14
Donning the uniform of red, gold and blue,
Team Meridell marches forth to play for the Cup.
With strength, perseverance and virtue true,
They always aim to make it to the top.
They boast players of admirable skill,
Like Yoris Obbles, their fearless keeper.
Fiorina, the master of the score and steal,
And Windelle, captain and forward center.
But notable as well, are the Ixis who play
To bring a victory to King Skarl's kingdom.
Ilsa Ellits, unafraid to jump into the fray,
And Ethel Boortz, who scores without a qualm.
Ilsa boasts not only strength but loyalty,
With years of experience under his belt,
With many games having honed his ability.
Truly, his absence would be profoundly felt!
And when the Altador Cup is off season,
Ilsa helps Fiorina mentor the next generation.
His legendary career serves as inspiration,
Ensuring that Meridell never lacks champions!
When it comes to scoring, Ethel can't be beat,
And she and Ilsa make a terrifying tackling team.
Though she is inexperienced, not quite elite,
She shows that she can still play like a dream!
Don't underestimate Ethel, or you will pay,
She can hold her own like the rest of them.
Age is only a number as she makes her way,
In Team Meridell's crown, she is another gem.
Their toughness has carried the day this year,
And carried Meridell to a second place finish.
They have shown that they are Ixis to fear,
Buoyed by the fire of a championship wish.
A Happy Ixi Day to both Ethel and Ilsa,
Two players who give the games their all.
No doubt they and their team will go far,
In this renowned sport of Yooyuball.

Trudy the Ixi and Her Fanciful Fortune
by _brainchild_
Trudy is a pet so great
Who loves to walk among
The trees and bushes as of late.
Her heart has clearly sung.
One day, this clever Ixi found
An awesome slot machine.
She would no longer be bound
By bank accounts wiped clean.
Her financial woes had cleared!
This girl could now afford
A fanciful dress oh so dear
And other stuff to hoard.
She shared her findings with the pets
Of our world oh so grand.
Soon, her friends were out of debt!
Loot fell into their hands.
Trudy shall be most revered
For blessing everyone
With golden riches oh so dear.
Such super work she's done.

Chortle the Ixi Jester
by sixlets1
Chortle the Ixi had a great hand,
Four of a kind his odds were grand,
A smile would surely give it away,
So he hid it to make sure his opponents would pay,
But Nigel of Meridar wept for all to see,
Quickly folded and then there were three,
The pot had grown to an astonishing height,
Every turn the ante was raised in this fight,
Moments later Kalandra decided to call,
A smile escaped her and Chortle felt small,
But Squire Asquith showed his cards first,
And with three of a kind it wasn't the worst,
So there was only one left to beat,
Kalandra the Kau needed to suffer defeat,
At the same moment they lay down their cards,
Chortle had won and sent his regards,
At a jester by trade you'd expect them to laugh,
But everyone playing wanted to tear him in half,
It was best to give them some space so he decided to ditch,
Back to the castle his pockets heavy and rich.

Ode to Hanso
by trubiekatie
There’s an old tale from years ago,
About an Ixi thief that was no highbrow.
Part of that infamous Thieves Guild,
Taking from the rich – for that he’s skilled.
But during the fall of Faerieland,
This unlikely hero helped take a stand.
Alongside his now close friend Brynn,
A crazy Neopian adventure did begin.
It started with a small, petty theft,
Under your nose, then he exits left.
But, he had a knack for getting caught.
With his items so obviously not bought.
He helped lead the raid at Hubrid Nox’s Castle,
Which ended up being more than just a hassle.
They tracked down a book in Finneus’ library,
Before the story started to get hairy.
Xandra brought the wrath of faerie magic,
Watching her downfall was truly tragic.
Hanso was the one to stop her from even worse,
And as a thank you, Fyora undid Hanso’s curse.

An Ode to Sinsi of Shapeshifter
by heartswold
Do you see in the clever ways that Sinsi sees?
They are all right there, laid out on the board:
Her puzzle that she does so often, with ease,
With helmet, crown, goblet, gauntlet, and sword.
A block and a shape, to move and replace,
the goal is to make them all uniform;
This game requires patience — it isn’t a race.
Just click and watch while the pieces transform.
You may try to go haphazardly in haste,
a method that leaves the players bereft.
If you go just by guesswork, it all goes to waste:
somehow, there’ll always be two pieces left.
Under watchful gaze, you sit and you think,
this piece will fit here, and then— and then—
When you clear up one level, she gives you a wink,
and sets up a new board all over again.
For hours you play, and now you’re addicted,
but you’re clearing these levels swifter and swifter.
A thrilling puzzle game!? You’d have never predicted.
Ingenious is the ixi who invented Shapeshifter.
