Discovery of Meridell Special

A Tour of Meridell
by neogal_anu

Ah, best we pack our bags well,
Wear our finest robes and bells,
For today it is on this land that we dwell
I mean the famous Meridell.

Do you fancy some games perchance?
Head over to Meri Acres Farm.
Count potatoes 'til your head spins,
And you can't even remember your wins!

If you pride yourself on your skill
Throw some darts, if you will,
Ultimate Bullseye has some nice prizes,
As well as some unpleasant surprises!

Mortogs to kiss, turdles to race
Boredom will never strike your face!
But be careful, only if you dare,
Approach the Turmaculus, else beware!

Delectable cheese to roll downhill,
Illusen's Glade to test your will.
A castle with many games to choose from
King Skarl to get a telling off from!

There is one place however, I must warn
That you must never look upon.
It looms in the distance, never boding well
Yes, I mean the Darigan Citadel.

Meridell is truly a blessed land,
Nowhere else would you find a place so grand.
Who knows, you may be rewarded greatly,
And return home with tales aplenty.

The Glorious Meridell
by philipp999_2

People come close and listen to what I say,
the story of a place so nice you will want to stay.
Of course I am speaking of Meridell,
does that name ring a bell?

A place of games, a place of fun,
you can be faster than the cheese, if you run.
Or give bow and arrow a try,
you might even hit the bullseye.

If you want the thrill and need money a lot,
you might as well just kiss the mortog.
But care the great Turmaculus
or your Petpet will disappear just like hocus pocus.

Lets move on there is so much to see,
inside the castle is the place to be.
To visit the famous king on his throne,
blow him away with a joke like a cyclone.

As you can see the possibilities are endless,
not visiting Meridell would be pure madness.
Now I will stop stealing your time,
I hope you liked how I rhyme.

Meri Acres Farm
by l0000000l

Through the late dusk to early dawn,
Knights of Meridell have got lots going on,
From Cheeseroller to Turdle Racing,
To do it all requires efficient pacing.

But often forgotten in the northwestern corner,
Further away from King Skarl, ever the scorner,
Rests the quaint county of Meri Acres Farm,
With rustic attractions, it's got some charm.

Whether potato counting suits your fancy,
Or picking berries gets you up and dancey,
Have a guess at the weight of Old Bessie,
Just stay clear of the pile that's messy.

To be fair, the Rubbish Dump is quite unique,
If you dig past the gravy that evidently reeks,
Misplaced brushes and petpets are up for grabs,
But you must act quickly, for others keep tabs.

Other than that, if you'd like to play games,
There's an attack of slorgs that residents claim,
But do as you please, we're glad to welcome you,
In return, we just ask you to discover us too.

Meridell, My Home
by precious_katuch14

The rising sun bathes the fields in light,
The green hills are always an amazing sight.
Meridell awakens to a brand new day,
And about my home I have much to say.

I wake up each day to Mortogs popping,
And the rolling cheeses aren't stopping.
Sometimes potatoes thud against my window,
The results of a potato counting row.

And when I step outside for fresh air,
The wind blows from Meri Acres Farm there.
Sometimes, berries are all I smell,
And when I'm unfortunate, dung as well.

I take a walk through my homeland,
I am offered gruel from the food stand,
Poker players invite me for a game,
Well, some things just stay the same.

Illusen in her glade offers me a quest.
I turn her down; I'm not quite the best.
Sinsi asks me to play a Shapeshifter round,
A marrow ominously grows above the ground.

King Skarl chases me down to pay tax,
Even though I'm sure I haven't been lax.
Instead, I try to humour him with a joke.
He isn't impressed, that fat bloke.

The smell of vegetables is always around,
Vegetables everywhere can be found.
Turnips, beetroots, corn and tomatoes,
Fresh and healthy fare wherever one goes.

I must mind my head as arrows fly
Arrows fired over at Ultimate Bullseye.
Over turdle racing there is a clamour,
And knights spar and train in armour.

Meridell is noisy, aromatic and bright,
Probably not the best place to write.
Everywhere you turn, a distraction,
But to me, always an inspiration.

The rising sun bathes the fields in light,
The green hills are always an amazing sight.
And when I look, I see my home,
Raise my glass to Meridell
And happily pen this poem.

Ye Olde Petpets: A Recommendation
by jaudaran

Meridell is well-known for its petpets large and small.
(Of course the great Turmaculus is largest of them all!)
A mortog makes a charming friend, just don’t give it a kiss,
The wibreth and its happy squawks are difficult to miss,
A symbol is a lovely pet, but may dig up your yard,
A ganuthor can sit quite still and makes a perfect guard.
The vullard is a sweetheart, though be sure to keep it fed
(when underfed the vullard is too glum to leave its bed).
For Bullseye fans, a turtum’s great, to help improve your aim,
For those that like a quiet pet, the tralbak’s very tame.

But if you like a challenge, and you feel up to the task,
A crokabek might just be the right pet for which to ask.
It won’t take long to see what makes the crokabek unique,
Like solving puzzles, using tools, or learning how to speak.
Unmatched in cunning, mischievous, and quick to learn new skills,
With plumage black as moonless night, and sharp and clever bills,
These birds are quite a handful, but you’ll find they’re worth your while,
A loyal friend with antics always sure to make you smile.
So if, while searching for a pet, you visit Meridell,
A crokabek might steal your heart.
(Perhaps your lunch, as well.)

Meridell Day is Here
by new_swim_fan

Hark! Sound the trumpets, gather 'round,
For Meridell Day is here!
A kingdom lost, a kingdom found.
Meridell Day is here!

Come into the castle, and meet the king.
Hope he won't throw you out.
Tell him a joke, laugh, and sing!
Hope he won't throw you out.

There's so many games to play,
How can you play them all?
Stop by and stay for the day,
How can you play them all?

Hark! Help us celebrate this special day,
Meridell day is here!
And all at once, let's shout hooray
For Meridell day is here!

Happy Meridell Day!
by ksophiatt

Meridell, the merry land of the free
Come by and visit us, there’s so much to see!
Discovered on the 30th day of swimming
And from that day onward, the fun was just beginning!
Visit the castle to aid Valrigard in his escape
Or play Double or Nothing if you want to test your fate
Try to impress The King, if you think you are ready
Or compete in Cheeserolling, but hold it steady!
Come visit Illusen’s glade and The Lightwater Forest
Please don’t be shy now, we love having tourists!
You can Pick your own at Meri Acres Farm
Then Kiss the Mortog, they’ve got quite the charm
You can visit the Turmaculus if you fancy a fright
Or try Turdle Racing, it’s quite the delight!
Test your luck and guess the weight of The Marrow
Or try out Ultimate Bullseye, if you can shoot an arrow!
So now you know why Meridell is the place to go
Just try not to fall down The Symol Hole!

The Pledge of Meridell
by shortcrust

I think often of the fields that lie far beyond our town
Shining like emerald jewels in this hereditary crown
And of the bounty given to each and every one
Grain and greenery
Oh Meridell!
We bloom under your sun!

I think often of the cobblestones that bubble from the street
Brown yet opalescent, round beneath my feet
And of the busy market and the goods that I could buy
Glazed hams and honeys
Oh Meridell!
The sweetness you provide!

I think often of the battlements that we staunchly defend
War against the neighbours whom our King cannot befriend
And of soldiers armed of loyalty with hope right at their side
Fight with bravery
Oh Meridell!
My allegiance and my pride!

From pastoral fields with courgette flowers
To glistening, fortified, flag-topped towers
From far and yon, if I should roam
I’ll return to you
Oh Meridell!
Our truest, trusted home!

New Years in Meridell
by indulgences

This background features quite a scene!
The sky is lit with stars!
They scintillate with nearest glow,
Despite their distance far!

The firecrackers burst and shine!
The sky is lit with shapes!
A rainbow crown’s the biggest sight,
And leaves us all agape!

The castle in the distance is
Aglow with festive lights!
They sparkle scarlet, sapphire too,
So fitting on this night!

The trees exude a forest scent,
So welcome to the crowd!
The firecrackers detonate,
So shocking, wild and loud!

Oh, happy new years, Meridell!
You quite deserve the fete!
I hope you love this festival,
And party until late!

Meridell
by yelanates

Meridell on this day long ago was found.
A land of Kings and Knights and a table round.
Wait is there a table in Meridell?
Poems that rhyme are a glorious sound.

On a hill lives the Faerie Illusen.
Complete quests and receive things you can use'n.
What else rhymes with her name?!?!
Maybe I'm not the best at Mother Goose-in'.

Cheeseroller can be fun if sticky.
In the sun sometimes the cheese gets sticky.
But if you are lucky and keep trying,
You can win an avatar most quickly!

Jeran and Kayla and Lisha are great,
in King Skarrl's palace they wait
For friends to come play
On Meridell Day!
Wonderful I have written myself into a corner.
