Jerdana's Spell
By Rhiannonleigh1979
Within the verdant forestland
Beyond the marble wall
Beneath the arch of ancient trees
Her silent footsteps fall
Her face is bathed in moonlight
Like a shadowdancer fair
As every shining star above
Weaves silver through her hair
The Mistress of Protection
She walks the night alone
The ever-watchful guardian
Of Altador, her home
With magic as her dagger
And justice her consort
Tonight she casts a desperate spell
A defense of last resort
Let Altador lie sleeping
Hidden well from sight
Until the Heroes come again
And set the world to right
The Darkest Faerie sleeps alone
But someday will be woken
For now, let Altador have peace
Until the spell is broken

Soldiers of Meridell
By Dude_wheres_my_llama
In peaceful field with chirping birds
A battle cry is yet unheard
The songs of heroes, still unsung
Those who stood against Darigan
If farmers, with their weathered hands
Could take up sword, could bear to stand
Against the dark and looming threat
And live to tell, we'd sing them yet
For everything they wished to be,
They then became, in armory
And brave, far from their comfort fight
An enemy that comes in night
So heroes, be they great or small,
Their songs we'll sing, and sing them all
For those so bold who live to tell
The fight they fought for Meridell

To the Mutated End
By Tinydoomkitten
Bottle bottle, full of paste,
How I wonder how'd it taste.
Guzzle it down with greatest haste,
Reminded me of toxic waste.
Now there's tingling throughout my fur,
I think the pain will soon occur.
All of this will soon concur
Every sound begins to slur .
It starts to pound within my skull,
Here comes the pain -- my thoughts I mull,
"This feeling -- Am I now a cull?"
And now the pain -- it is so dull.
At last -- At last! The pain is through!
My fur has lost its serene blue
Now my life has started anew.
Finally my wish has come true!

Treasure Hunt
By Kikiscamps_mom
The desert wind blows fitfully
Harsh sand stings my eyes,
The tattered map shows the spot
Where I can find the prize.
Hours worth of digging,
Pouring drops of sweat.
Parsimonious water sips
Keep my parched lips wet.
At last I find the arch of stone
And puzzle out the key;
Touching tiles in certain order
From my memory.
Sliding back, the rough-hewn door
Releases musty air,
I light my torch and step inside
The long-lost Treasure Lair.
Wary of the certain traps
I thread through tunneled maze,
Seeking what will change my life,
Give Glory to my days.
A single step, a simple inch,
I place my foot in peril,
The trigger clicks, a fall of sand
Becomes Disaster's herald.
Wakening to torrid heat
I squint into the sun,
Lying in the open pit
I feel my legs go numb.
"Help!" I call, though hope is dry
As the barren sands around me,
"I'm trapped by rocks, I can't get out!"
Heavy silence falls and drowns me.
Then whispers meet my sharp-honed ears,
Of slithers 'cross the grains,
Recoiling in a new-found fear,
I fight to flee, in vain.
"Ssssh," calls a melodious voice,
"Just lie back and rest."
Supple muscles shift the rocks,
Then wind around my chest;
Lifting me with gilded wings
The Hissi works, hard-pressed.
"There," he says and sets me down,
Then gives me juice to drink;
Looking at my legs he muses,
"They're only bruised, I think."
His bearing is regal, his expression kind,
And light brims from his eyes;
I look into them deeply,
And know I've found my Prize.
An angel in a serpent's form,
A strong arm to defend,
Samael stands ever at my side,
My Wise and Faithful Friend.

Faerieland
By Aprilmoon92
Soft light falling on pale clouds-
A mystic land 'bove tranquil sea.
That sways, slow,
in the sunlight.
Angels' breath on morning breeze
sweet in the air. Sudden-
Wings flutter.
Noble beauty; that elegant face:
long, arched nose and bright
eyes that sparkle
in the sunlight
as the faeries work their
Ancient magic. She;
their Queen.
Her magic coils through it;
The castle, the city, and even
the very clouds.
They drift, sedate
in the sky as mortals play at
their silly games.
But one;
She does not feel the calm
of the city in the sky, but
instead schemes
'pon her tainted
seat of Power, a dark spot
against the light-
Jhudora.
Her evil thoughts snake
along the minds of those
unsuspecting-
Fools, they are!
But yet we labour, to hold
to maintain it,
Timeless.
Soft light falling on pale clouds-
The evil exists but we forget
in this place
the hidden,
the magical and the mystical.
In this place,
Faerieland.
