Good day, my name is Dragonblade200, you can call me Blade. I am here today
to talk to you about the Battledome.
Although I am only 118 days old I have had my share of experiences in the Battledome
(or BD, as I will call it).
The first thing you need to prepare for is defeat. If it is your first time
in the BD don't expect to win immediately. Failure is a way of learning. All
right now that we've got that cleared up lets get to the fun parts.
Equipment - This is a VERY important part of the BD, if you have no
equipment you will lose. I have wasted over 50,000 NP on BD equipment, I do
not want you to do the same. Here are some of the items that I have found very
useful.
Attack: Improved Lightning Beam - This powerful item deals plenty of
damage. I usually equip 2 and together they do 11 damage, well for me anyway.
I bought my beam at the market place, for 900 NP, you make think "Oh how costly!"
but this is not a high price to pay for victory.
Heal: Juicy Elixir - When battling I always have an extra little potion
in case I am in the middle of being defeated. I have found the juicy potion
to be very useful, on the Shop
Wizard it is about 90 NP, pretty cheap for an extra 7 hp to help you
win the battle. Although there are better elixirs most of them cost outrageous
prices, or if they cost less they don't do the job.
Freeze: Snowglobe Staff - This is an extremely useful piece of equipment.
Freezing is one of its specialties. But not its only use, attacking, defending
and creating snowballs are also part of its wonderful uses. But beware you cannot
always expect this item to work. Although this item is wonderful it costs around
15,000 NP on the Wizard. The choice is yours, do you wish to waste the money?
(One extra hint: I once bought an Ancient Lupe Wand thinking it would help me
freeze my opponent, however when it was time for me to use it, I was told it
only works for Lupes. Do not make the same mistake I made.)
Defence: Fire Snow, Snowglobe Staff - Many attack items also defend.
Items like Fire Snow and Snowglobe Staff do wonderful jobs at defending and
attacking. In my opinion defense items aren't very useful. I do not equip them,
instead rely on my attack items to also defend.
Extras: OK fellow NeoPets so you're probably thinking "My oh my I have
extra spaces to fill with equipment." Well, if you have any extra spaces for
equipment, try snowballs, battlecards, potions, or arrows. These small, one
time use items are very useful for dealing damage. Although I don't often use
them, I know from experience they can deal a lot of damage. Snowballs are very
cheap only 10 or 20 NP for most of them. Battlecards too. But the potions may
cost more, maybe ranging from 100-450 NP
(Hints: Although many Faerie items such as Circlet of the Air Faerie or Staff
of the Earth Faerie seem wonderful, do not be fooled, these items are worthless
and only do 1-3 damage.)
Now the second and last part of my lesson, Level, Defense, Strength,
and Speed. If your level, speed, and strength are strong when you use
your equipment the equipment will do a lot more damage.
Level: This is an important part of the BD. Having a high level will
make your pet naturally stronger, better at defense and faster. Although I do
not think level is the most important part to train yourself in, many people
disagree.
Strength: I consider this to be most important in helping you win battles.
The more strength you have the more damage you deal with your equipment.
Defence: This is a very good for blocking or protecting yourself in
battle. Defence is not something Shoyrus excel at but your pets might be different.
Speed: My personal experience shows speed to be very good for dodging
and diving but that is my experience. My speed is only 15 though so I am not
one to say.
