Before NeoPets roamed Neopia, nine powers were randomly scattered
in the form of crystals around Neopia: air, water, fire, earth, ice, lightning,
stone, fighting, and dark. A group of six friends stumbled upon six of the crystals
and gained the special powers inside of them. These six pets are called the
SuperNeos. The SuperNeos only know of one other crystal that has been found.
A Grundo found the dark crystal and now is using it to gain power and control.
The SuperNeos have dedicated their lives to keeping Neopia safe from little
troubles and DarkGrundo.
“Oh my gosh,” WaterBruce remarked as she opened a letter that had come in the
mail.
“What is it WaterBruce?” EarthEyrie asked.
“This letter says: Dear Recipient, NEO enterprises is holding a pop star contest
to discover new talent. If you are interested in entering please come to the
Mysterious Isle on Saturday. We are only looking for duet acts of one male and
one female. Thank you. Signed Arthur Korbat!” WaterBruce said excitedly.
“I’ve always wanted to be in the music business,” EarthEyrie said.
“You and I work out fine. I’m a girl and you’re a boy... so we can enter,”
WaterBruce cried, hugging EarthEyrie.
“Hold up one second WaterBruce. We can’t just leave the team with so little
notice. The contest is in only three days and what if we do win? We need more
than three days to think this over,” EarthEyrie pointed out.
“This is our big chance EarthEyrie. We need to break away from the team. We’ve
done our part. Now we need to turn in our crystals and go back to being just
regular pets. Do you know that I haven’t been called by my real name for 3 years!”
WaterBruce cried.
“What is you’re real name,” EarthEyrie asked.
“Lorna, I know your real name is Erik and now we can go back to using our real
names. I can picture it now, Lorna and Erik teen pop sensations,” WaterBruce
said.
“It has been a while since someone has called me Erik. You’re right WaterBruce.
Let’s just tell the team we’re leaving and turn in our crystals,” EarthEyrie
said.
WaterBruce and EarthEyrie made their way inside the team clubhouse to announce
their decision.
“Oh, hi... WaterBruce. Hi EarthEyrie,” LightningKau said when the pair walked
in.
“Team, we have an announcement to make. We’ve had an awesome time with you
saving the world. You are the four most loving pets that we’ve ever met. EarthEyrie
and myself are leaving today to pursue our dreams of becoming pop stars. I am
sorry to leave you at such short notice. Good-bye,” WaterBruce said taking off
her crystal necklace and placing it on the coffee table. EarthEyrie did the
same.
“No WaterBruce what do you mean. EarthEyrie you can’t do this,” AirKyrii cried.
“We don’t go by those names anymore. We no longer belong to those elements
or to this team. I am Erik and she is Lorna,” Erik the Eyrie said.
“Good-bye,” Lorna the Bruce said walking out the door with Erik close behind.
“I cannot believe they just did that,” IceQuiggle said admiring the crystals
on the table.
“Well, the point is that they’re gone now and we are short two members,” FireLupe
said.
“They were like family,” LightningKau said as a tear trickled down his face.
“I don’t know anyone who could take their places,” AirKyrii said.
“How about Sabrina the cute little Aisha who always goes to the food store,”
FireLupe suggested.
“I don’t know if she has what it takes to be a SuperNeo,” IceQuiggle replied.
“I know who is perfect,” LightningKau said as he ran out the door without saying
anything else.
“I don’t have any idea who LightningKau is thinking about,” AirKyrii said.
“Either do I, AirKyrii. Either do I,” FireLupe said, sighing.
