Time Twisters 2: Part Four

by too_kule

The Time Twisters all came back to their NeoHome after another exhausting adventure. Sometimes the job got hard, but they knew they could never give up.

"Ewww!" cried Millyum the Faerie Zafara as she jumped off of a chair. It had a moldy pizza slice on it.

"Hey, what do we have to eat?" asked Chakeebo the baby Chia.

"The fridge is full. Just pick something out of it," said Deracko the Strawberry Tuskaninny.

"I wouldn't do that Chakeebo. The fridge hasn't been cleaned out in ages, it's such a mess," said Yoigo the Cloud Gelert. They all looked around the messy NeoHome.

"You know, if we're always out saving Neopia, our NeoHome will stay messy," said Millyum.

"Yeah. Do you think we need a maid?" asked Yoigo. They all looked around and nodded.

***

Ding Dong!

It was the first day of the Time Twister's maid. They had made the arrangements for her to come every day while they were out. Today, they decided to take a break. No saving Neopia for them. They were going to leave the rings at home and enjoy a day out.

Deracko went to the door and opened it. A Kyrii was standing there. She had a suitcase and was ready to go.

"Hello, you must be Deracko. My name is Kyohara, and I'm from Neopia's Maid Service," she said.

"Hi. We'll be going out today. I'll pay you when we get back, OK?"

"Great," said Kyohara as Chakeebo, Yoigo and Millyum came into the room.

"OK, bye!" said Millyum as she shut the door. Kyohara looked around and smiled evilly.

"Now it's time to see what these pets have," she said to herself. She looked around. She opened her empty suitcase. They thought it was full of cleaning supplies, but it was actually used by Kyohara to hold all of the loot she stole. She browsed a bit when she saw something on top of a cabinet. Four rings.

"I think I found the jackpot," she said. "Four rings! They're probably expensive! This one I made of bronze...and this one is silver! This one is made of jade, very nice...and a golden ring! I'm rich!" she cried. She slipped all four of the rings onto just one hand and walked around some more. She knew that she couldn't spend the entire time stealing. If the other Neopets came back and saw she hadn't done anything, they'd be mad. The trick was to steal a little bit every day.

"Now it's time to work," she said. There was a bad Neocola stain on the carpet, so she decided to start with that. After about ten minutes of scrubbing, it wouldn't come out.

"I can't believe this! How come I can't erase this stain?" she cried. Suddenly, the jade ring on her finger started to glow. A beam of light shot out of it and hit the Neocola stain. It was weird, the stain lifted itself out of the carpet. It floated in the air for a second and floated over to an empty can of Neocola. The floating Neocola went right into the can.

"What is this?" she cried. She looked at the jade ring. It was glowing yellow, but it slowly went back to green. "It's magic! These pets own magic ring!" She pointed the ring at an empty pizza box that fell off of a table. She waved her hand around but it didn't work.

"There must be a magic word that I said...um...stain! No...can't! What did I say...believe? Oh, it must be erase!" she cried. Yoigo's ring fired at the pizza box. The pizza box flew back onto the table.

"I wonder how these other rings work?" she wondered out loud. She finally decided to come back another day and see what she could do.

"Wow, I can't believe you did this so fast!" exclaimed Yoigo as he and the others walked into the NeoHome. It was very easy to clean the NeoHome, especially with the help of Yoigo's ring.

"You deserve lots of NP," said Deracko as he gave her a pouch full of 1000 NP.

"So, aren't you going to invite me for dinner? It's customary to invite your maid for dinner," lied Kyohara. She was going to learn all she could about those rings.

"Oh...I guess so," said Millyum. She went off into the kitchen to make dinner. Thirty minutes later, dinner was served. They all sat around the table to eat. Kyohara had to start up a conversation about the rings.

"So, I saw those four pretty rings of yours," said Kyohara. Everyone looked up shocked.

"Uh...you didn't touch them, did you?" asked Deracko.

"Of course not!" lied Kyohara "I just thought they were very beautiful. Where did you get them?"

"Oh that's a long story. It...ow!" cried Chakeebo. He just got kicked under the table by Yoigo.

"We got them at a pawn shop," he said. "Uh...you didn't happen to notice anything strange about them?"

"Oh, of course not! They're great," said Kyohara.

"Yeah. Did you know the silver ring can rewind--"

"Chakeebo!" cried Deracko. "Uh...he just fed his broccoli to...the Warf!"

     "What Warf?" asked Kyohara.

"His imaginary Warf," lied Deracko. He didn't want Kyohara to know about the secret of the rings. The rest of the dinner was quiet, but Kyohara had heard enough.

The next day was normal. Chakeebo was at Neo-Preschool and Deracko, Yoigo and Millyum were all hanging around the NeoHome. Kyohara was there too, being a maid.

"We're going to go outside, OK Kyohara?" asked Yoigo. Kyohara nodded as the others went outside. This was what Kyohara wanted. The rings were still on the cabinet. Kyohara put on the silver ring and thought about what to say.

"OK, that little Chia said this could rewind time. If I wanted to go back thirty seconds--" suddenly everything went black. Kyohara looked around and then reappeared.

"We're going to go outside, OK Kyohara?" asked Yoigo again. Kyohara looked around and nodded.

"I must have to say rewind and then say how long I want to go back," she said. She picked up the gold ring.

"The opposite of rewind is...fast forward! Fast Forward ten seconds!" she cried. Nothing happened. She picked up the bronze ring and slipped it onto her finger. "Fast forward ten seconds!" Everything went black again. She waited in darkness and then came back. She looked around and saw Yoigo standing right in front of her.

"You just appeared...the rings! That's Deracko's ring you just used," Yoigo cried. Millyum and Deracko came in too.

"Stop! I have these three rings," she said as she put Yoigoâ€(tm)s, Millyumâ€(tm)s and Deracko's rings on her hand. "Try to stop me! I'm going to use this ring to go back in time before you even came in!" The three noticed she had left Chakeebo's ring on the cabinet.

     "Rewind one minute!"

At that moment the three all jumped at her. The managed to make contact with her, so they also went back in time. They all were in the darkness for a few seconds. When they came back, Millyum quickly grabbed Chakeebo's ring. Yoigo and Deracko grabbed Millyum's shoulder.

"You don't know what this one does! Pause!" she cried. Kyohara froze. They quickly grabbed some rope and tied her up.

"Unpause!" said Millyum. Everything unpaused and Kyohara was sitting on the ground tied up. "Yoigo, call the Chia Police. I think they have a new prisoner."
