As Wind Chaser held Danny and Water Lily tight, her pendant flickered.
It was silvery gray, then rainbow, and then silver again. The necklace’s
cord broke and it was sent hurdling down, down, down. Wind Chaser gasped
and skyrocketed down. She screamed and watched the pendant drop into the
ocean. “NOOOOOOOOOOO!" yelled Wind Chaser, “MY PENDANT!” “Danny gets it!”
exclaimed Danny. He jumped out of Wind Chaser’s arms and splashed into
the sea below.
“DANNY!” Wind Chaser gripped Water Lily tight. She caught sight of a
red shark-like creature swimming toward the light blue creature underneath
the water. A Jetsam! “This can’t be happening!” yelled Wind Chaser. She
wished terribly that she had her pendant. Danny popped his head out of
the water. He gave Wind Chaser the pendant, and she fastened it on. The
Jetsam zoomed towards Danny. “MAGICAL POWERS OF THE AIR FAERIE PENDANT,
GET RID OF THIS JETSAM!” shouted Wind Chaser at the top of her lungs.
"And that’s it, Little Mystic,” Grandpa Air Faerie teased. “No!
No! Tell me more!” yelled Little Mystic. Grandpa Air Faerie laughed and
continued the legend.
The pendant glowed gold and with a small pop, the Jetsam disappeared.
Wind Chaser picked up Danny and used the pendant again to make herself
faster. They got to Neopia in about 1 hour, the regular time about 9 hours.
Wind Chaser touched the pendant. “Magical powers of the Air Faerie pendant,
turn me into a human for 1 hour,” said Wind Chaser. With another pop,
she turned into a human. Her robes cut in the middle, now looking like
a long skirt and a shirt. Her hair grew shorter and also became blonde.
She tucked the pendant under her shirt and walked into the Search Building.
“I’m looking for Jessie,” said Wind Chaser.
“Last name?” asked the old lady at the front desk.
“Erm.” Wind Chaser looked at Danny and Water Lily for an answer.
“Rikkata!” said Danny.
“Jessie Rikkata, Jessie Rikkata…” murmured the lady.
“Ah, yes! She lives down on Negg Street!” said the lady.
“Thanks!” said Wind Chaser. The friends sped on over to Negg Street.
A little boy of about 6 opened the door with a small yellow Blumaroo
by his side. A beautiful young woman appeared behind him. She shooed the
boy and the Blumaroo into the house and gasped. “Danny? AngelGurl11?”
Water Lily and Danny leapt into Jessie’s outstretched arms.
“AngelGurl11’s new name Water Lily!” said Water Lily with a gigantic
smile.
“Oh…then…” Jessie had just noticed Wind Chaser.
“Who are you?” Jessie asked suspiciously.
“I’m Win – Wanda!” said Wind Chaser.
“You, you didn’t steal Danny and Angel – Water Lily, did you?”
“Oh no! Mast – Wanda rescued Danny and Water Lily!” said Danny.
“Well, thank you so much Wanda. How can I repay you?” Jessie asked.
“No need to. I was in Faerie Forest and I saw them and brought them home,”
said Wind Chaser.
“Oh. Well, I’ll be seeing you around!” said Jessie.
Water Lily, Danny, and Jessie waved goodbye to Wind Chaser and she disappeared
into the shadows. She waited for her spell to wear off and flew away.
Many years later, Wind Chaser met a Water Faerie named Daniel. He reminded
her of her old friend Danny the Mynci. They loved each other so much that
they planned to marry. A few days before the scheduled wedding date, the
Faerie Queen passed a law that different types of Faeries couldn’t get
married. Wind Chaser took Daniel to the old shopkeeper that had changed
her life once before and he changed it again. The two Faeries were the
first Air Faerie family. They had two daughters named Dream and Wish.
They grew up and learned of the old shopkeeper. And now, no one knows
where that shopkeeper went or who he really was.
The End
“That’s it Grandpa Air Faerie? That was a really good story!” said Little
Mystic. He yawned. “Now take me to bed, please.” Grandpa Air Faerie took
the tired little Faerie up to the guest room. He opened the window and
went back downstairs. The wind blew and uncovered Little Mystic. He shivered.
A shadowy figure in gray-blue robes climbed inside. Wind Chaser covered
Little Mystic up again and climbed out the window, closing it.
