Now That's What I Call Loyalty!

I had been on NeoPets only a few weeks when I decided to get a second pet. I was really excited about it and wasn't sure of what kind of pet I wanted but as soon as I saw her I fell in love. Haley_3197 was just a little bundle of pink fur when I brought her home that day... Magic_21, my Shoyru, was very curious about the baby Pollypup I brought home...

"Is that my new sister?" Magic asked inquisitively.

"Yes," I replied, "I decided to get a different species... Is that OK with you?"

"Yeah! I think it's neat!" Magic said jumping for joy, "I'm glad you like her Magic!" I said smiling.

Time passed and I got some alarming news that NeoPets was going to change the Pollypup! Haley was scared that she would turn out ugly and I told her, "Haley, I will love you no matter how you look!"

"Really?" she said almost crying.

"Of course!" I said, hugging her tightly.

NeoPets soon changed the Pollypup into the Gelert. "Wow!" exclaimed Magic, "You look GREAT Haley!"

"You think so?" Haley said looking at herself in the mirror. "Well... It'll take some getting used to but I think I like my new look!"

"I'm glad," I said smiling.

Not long after that, NeoPets came out with this new paintbrush color that I thought would look good on Haley-- the Unicorn paintbrush. So I spent two sleepless nights working my butt off to get that paintbrush and took her to the rainbow pool.

"This is SOOO exciting!" Haley exclaimed just before I painted her.

"I know! Are you ready?"

"Yes, Paint me now!" I smiled and painted her.

"Wow! You look koo!" I exclaimed as I pulled a mirror in front of her.

"Oh gosh! I look...wow! I look neat!"

"Let's go show Magic!" she said happily.

We showed her big brother and he was a bit taken by her new look. "Woah! That is SOOO koo!"

Haley smiled and blushed a bit. "Thanks."

Not long after that I created two Lupes, Lucky_21 ((Fire)) and Dream_Angel_21 ((White)) All my pets got along great and as soon as the training school opened I took them there... They loved it! After a while Haley found a guy.... A Skunk Lupe named RealSlimShady, it was love at first sight! She and Slim spent a lot of time together and finally decided to have pups... They had 3... Hikage21, Miyoko77, and Kurai_Megami!

Haley's life was going very well and I was very proud of her... Then one day Haley and I were sitting in the marketplace taking a break from shopping when a girl with a unicorn Acara came up to us, saying, "Hello."

"I noticed you have a unicorn Gelert there..."

"Yes, this is Haley!" I said, patting her on the head, "I was wondering... Would you like to sell her to me for a silver paintbrush and 7000 NPs??"

Haley looked at me very alarmed and I looked at the girl appalled, "No, I'm not going to sell her!" Haley let out a sigh of relief but the girl kept on nagging "What if I gave you a striped and silver paintbrush and 5000 NPs?"

"No!" I said sternly.

"OK, then what about a striped, silver, and stars plus 5000 NPs?"

"No!" I said, "I love her too much! She was my second pet and I would never DREAM of giving her up!"

She looked at me very surprised and said, "You must be the biggest idiot in the world to turn down an offer like that! I promise I'll take good care of her and Neomail you everyday! Come on PLEASE!!!!"

I looked at her still appalled, "No! I told you I'm not giving her up!"

The girl shrugged and said, "OK I give up! You aren't going to budge! Now THAT'S what I call loyalty!" she walked away disappointed.

"Wow! You gave up an offer like that for ME?" Haley said teary-eyed.

"Of course Haley, you are very special to me and I could NEVER EVER give you up!"

We headed home and Haley told her brothers and sister the story, I smiled at all my pets and looked at them lovingly. "And I would do the same thing for each and everyone of you!"

They ran up to me and gave me a hug. "I love you guys!" I said to to them happily. Always remember who your friends are because they will stay loyal and true forever!
