Happy Endings

The Kau stopped growling and looked at Shirlie curiously. Its eyes flickered back to their violet color for a moment. Anastasia looked at Shirlie angrily.

"Anastasia, why do this? Do you not love the wonderful world of Neopia?" Shirlie pleads tearfully.

Anastasia loses her glare, and looks at Shirlie. "Of course I love Neopia...But I can't succeed without stealing! I need more!" Anastasia shouts.

All this time, Milky had been carefully studying Shirlie's face, and finally recognized her. He ran up to her and hugged her, crying.

"Oh Milky....I've missed you!" Shirlie stroked his fur, smiling through her tears.

"And you, Anastasia!" Easter points her paw accusingly at her.

"You're surely going to get your license taken away!!

"Then you'll know what's it like to have everything you own taken away from you this fast!" Easter snaps her paw in Anastasia's face. Anastasia looks frightened, her face turning pale.

"Y-you're not seriously going to turn me in, are you?"

"That's exactly what we're going to do! You can get a new license, but you'll have to work for it! And you'll have to earn enough Neopoints to pay all those people back!" Dragonboy says, sternly.

"We're not doing this to make you miserable, Anastasia, but you need to know what it was like for all those people that you hacked..."

Lindsey says gently, walking up to Anastasia. Anastasia was led away by the Neopian Police, crying. Lindsey felt a little sorry for her, but also knew that it would make Anastasia a better Neopian. A month later, there was a knock on Lindsey's door. It was Shirlie, now standing with Milky and looking joyful.

"Anastasia paid back all the Neopoints she stole from me!"

Then, smiling, Shirlie steps out of the way revealing Anastasia! "I'm very sorry for all the trouble I caused...I now realize how terrible it is to be hacked." Anastasia says, sincerely. "I've gotten a new license and worked for it fair and square. I've paid everyone back too."

Lindsey smiled, and gave Anastasia and Shirlie a hug.

"Thanks to you two, we've helped Anastasia and Shirlie!" she says to Easter and Dragonboy.

"Well, we were glad to help! I just love happy endings..." Easter says dreamily.

"Me too!" Dragonboy shouts happily, giving Easter a high-five.
