An Interview with Dr. Gelert

Merry evening ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Neo Five News Report with Magickal_One_Dream. The subjects: How to Keep Your Pet Healthy and Are Gelerts Really Mistreated? Well, let's find out.

Magickal_One_Dream walks up to The Neopian Hospital with her cameramen and knocks on Dr. Gelert's door. Dr. Gelert opens the door and looks around at the cameras and the reporter.

Magickal: "Hello, Dr. Gelert. Welcome to the Neo Five News Report. I am Magickal_One_dream, the reporter. We are here to interview you on How to Keep Your Pet Healthy."

Dr. Gelert: Smiles and says, "Come in. Have a seat."

Magickal: Sits down with Dr. Gelert. "Now, Dr. Gelert. What are the most fit activities that you would recommend to do with your NeoPet to keep it the healthiest?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, Magickal.... You could visit Grundo's Gym once in a while. It keeps you pretty fit if you're using the right equipment at the right level..."

Magickal: Cutting Dr. Gelert off. "Yes, well, what if the NeoPet weren't using the right equipment at the right level?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, I suppose the NeoPet could injure itself or the owner and pet would be wasting their time..."

Magickal: Nods... Once cutting Dr. Gelert off. "Now what other activities would be fit for keeping your pet healthy?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, playing basketball with your pet is fun and healthy..."

Magickal: "Now, what if the pet had no arms, such as the Jubjub, then what would be healthy for it?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, Jubjubs don't exercise very much, and they do tend to get chubby. So I'd recommend a strict diet for them, in fact any pet for that matter."

Magickal: Nodding in agreement. "Now, what would this strict diet happen to be?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, for a snack, apples, pears, and peaches are good, healthy, and sweet, as a substitute for candy. It satisfies that sweet tooth."

Magickal: "Yes. Would it be wise to eat a bitten apple?"

Dr. Gelert: "Only if the pet who is eating it at the moment as the one who had already bitten it. If it was another pet, then no. It would not be wise at all."

Magickal: "Doctor, what would be a good drink for the pet?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, some smoothies are healthy, like tropical fruit smoothies. Orange juice, milk, water, and apple juice are very healthy and tasty..."

Magickal: "What about breakfast foods, sir?"

Dr. Gelert: "NeoCrunch cereal, hot cakes, and omelets are good for breakfast, with a snack, and possibly milk, or one of the drinks I've already mentioned."

Magickal: "And healthy lunch foods?"

Dr. Gelert: "A snack and a drink, with probably a turkey or ham and cheese sub sandwich... snow is healthy, too, though it can give you the chills."

Magickal: "What about dinner foods, doctor?"

Dr. Gelert: "Well, as the same as breakfast and lunch, you will need a snack, and a drink. It would be wise to eat your veggies now, like broccoli."

Magickal: "And for dessert?"

Dr. Gelert: "Either some tropical fruit, a smoothie, a piece of caramel, or a light Negg..."

Magickal: "So that's your whole food pyramid, Fruit, Bread, Dairy, Sugar, and Protein."

Dr. Gelert: "Yes it is..."

Magickal: "Now how long would you recommend you wait until eating?"

Dr. Gelert: "About six hours. Breakfast should be around 6:00 A.M., lunch should be around 12:00 P.M., and dinner and dessert should be around 6:00 P.M. Then at about 9:00 P.M. you should go to bed and then wake up around 6:00 A.M. and then repeat the process. Of course in-between times you should exercise, read to rest the mind, play with toys, groom yourself, and such."

Magickal: "Now if your pet were to randomly get sick, what would you do?"

Dr. Gelert: "I'd take my pet to the hospital, to check and see what was wrong with the pet and what the cure was. Then I'd go to the pharmacy and see if the cure was there. If not then I'd take my pet to the Shop Wizard and ask him where the lowest cure for my pet was."

Magickal: "Doctor, what exactly are all of the illnesses and their cures?"

Dr. Gelert: Showing his charts. "Well, you're just going to have to visit me for a check-up at my office for more of that kind of information."

Magickal: "Well, that's a rap on "How To Take Care Of Your Pet" Magickal looked at Dr. Gelert. "Doctor..."

Dr. Gelert: "Yes Magickal?"

Magickal: "About the debate.... Are Gelerts really neglected?"

Dr. Gelert: "I don't think that we're neglected. We have 8 different paintbrushes, a guild, a Neocircle, different clubs, our own school, and we're very popular, not to mention not very many of us end up in the pound."

Magickal: "Thank you Dr. Gelert... and have a nice day..."
