The new game Ice
Cream Factory is easy if you know the tricks. I played a couple
times and was foolish enough not to read what the bonus scoops did. This
didn't work well. I suggest reading the rules and the Help section before
playing. I did that and became a Grand Master after a few tries. But there
are still some things that are not included in either part. That's why
I wrote this article.
First of all, the objective of the game is to complete
all the levels. There are two parts to every level; first you dodge the
ice cream scoops, and then you must make your way though the warehouse.
The ice cream scoops change colors every round. They go in this order:
Purple, Dark Blue, Green, Red, Light Blue, and Gold.
But I said there are five levels, right? And six colors?
How does that work? Well, in the last level no points can be earned. It
does nothing for you. Once it says "Level 6" in the upper right hand corner
commit suicide, as it were. As soon as you die in the sixth level the
game is over and you win. It's a trick level. Watch your score when the
gold scoops disappear. What happens to it? Nothing. You won't want to
die but that is how you win. You cannot get past the sixth level, so don't
bother with it.
The dodging is pretty easy, and you use your mouse to
control Adee the Chia. I recommend trying to move as little as possible.
Find one cone that shoots out the least often and stay there as long as
you can. When it shoots move as little as possible and then go back over
the cone once the scoop has gone over you. Also, try to stay in the middle
vertically. If you go to the top, you can't dodge as well, and at the
bottom you will most likely die pretty quickly.
The bonuses. They each have their pros and cons. Well,
most of them. Here is a list of each bonus and what it does:
The golden scoops - It gives you all the points necessary
to complete the level. It is incredibly rare and I have only gotten it
once. No con here, just an excellent pro.
The purple and yellow scoops with the small Chia inside-
These will make you smaller. Pro - You are less likely to be hit. Con
- You can't go on the edges. Why is this bad? One time I was smaller and
an extra life bonus (later explained) was on the edge and I couldn't get
it. I recommend shrinking one time. You can keep shrinking for I don't
know how long. I have gotten three of these in one round and I could barely
move.
The red and blue scoops with the large Chia inside- These
scoops make you larger. Pro - If you shrank too much then you can use
these to enlarge yourself. Con - You are more likely to be hit, seeing
as a larger target is easier to hit.
The pink ones with a heart inside. These will give an
extra live. Only pro, no con. They are fairly rare, though I have had
5 lives at one time.
The dark blue ones with an inside. These will slow down
the scoops. Pro - They are easier to dodge. Con - The round takes longer
and isn't as interesting. You will love them in the fifth level though.
I think they carry over to the next round, but don't quote me on that.
The light blue and yellow ones with a + inside- These
will make the scoops move faster. Pro - If you are a risk taker, you can
make the game really interesting. Or if you got hit by too many slowing
scoops you can make the game move faster. Con - The scoops are harder
to dodge and the faster the scoops are the more likely you are going to
be hit.
The warehouse level gives you a chance to earn extra
points. The purple boxes are your bonus points. I have had levels with
lots of them, and even one without any purple boxes. The brown boxes can
only be moved up and right, and if you try and move two boxes stacked
on top of each other up, they will not move. Same if you try and move
two right next to each other. You do not need to collect all of the purple
boxes, and if you absolutely cannot get one go on without it. And try
not to get yourself trapped in a corner. Almost forgot to say, you use
your arrows on your keyboard in this part! Key factor!
That's basically it for how to become a Grand Master,
except that you get half of your score in Neopoints, and you can only
collect points three times a day, as most games are. It's a fun and easy
game that can earn you a few hundred Neopoints. Remember, it doesn't matter
if you win or lose; it only matters if you have fun. Have a nice day!
