Choosing the Right Battledome Weapon

With the Battledome becoming increasingly important, one should take care to ensure that his or her pets are properly armed. In this article, I will be going over some of the useful weapons that one can use. Depending on the skill of your pet, you may want to stray to more attack or defense items. In any case, 1 or 2 healing items is recommended.

**Attack Items**

Wand of the Air Faerie: While priced extremely high, this wand can attack and defend. It attack strongly in Air and has a little Physical damage. It can defend against Fire and Air attacks as well. It is extremely useful in combinations with the Snow Flame.

Bottled Snows: The Bottled Snows include the Radioactive Snow, Fire Snow, and Dirty Snow. They, like the Wand of the Air Faerie, can attack and defend. They aren't priced as high as the Wand of the Air Faerie but aren't as good. They are useful in combinations with each other so that you can attack your opponent with many different elements.

Snowballs: Snowballs are one-time use items. I don't consider them very good because if you rely on them too much, it can become very expensive. If you plan on using snowballs, I suggest Exploding Snowballs and Sticky Snowballs.

Black Frost Cannon: While you can only equip one of these on your pet, they are extremely helpful. You can attack with them and they have a chance of freezing your opponent. The Black Frost Cannon has the highest chance of freezing your opponent and does the most damage.

Snowglobe Staff: The Snowglobe Staff can be good and it can be bad. It has a variety of attacks though.
1. It can attack normally.
2. It can freeze your opponent (and freeze itself).
3. It can break for the battle.
4. It can defend against snowballs.

All in all, I don't suggest using one-time items because you'll have to buy more. Items that break permanently are usually really expensive items such as the Wand/Staff of Nova/Supernova/Ultranova.

**Defense Items**
Force Shield: This is probably the best shield aside from the fact that it can break. It can defend against anything but is relatively expensive.

Ice Shield: Being an unbuyable, this shield is relatively good. It can defend against Air, Ground, Water and Fire. Even though the description says that it can freeze your opponent's item, I have never seen this happen.

Mega Fire Shield: This is a good shield. Even though it's unbuyable and only defends against Physical, Water and Fire, it really defends against it well.

Large Metal Shield: This is a sturdy shield. It is cheap and defends well. I recommend this to people who are new to NeoPets.

If you plan on buying several defense items, I would suggest getting ones that don't break. Be able to defend against all types of attack that come at you.

**Healing Items**
Scorchstones: These are a MUST HAVE. They are really expensive but really good. Here's how much that each stone recovers.

Bronze Scorchstone: 15
Red Scorchstone: 20
Blue Scorchstone: 30
Green Scorchstone: 40
Purple Scorchstone: 50
Rainbow Scorchstone: 80
