Where can I find a Red Pteri Plushie?

     It has come to this author's attention that there has been a significant oversight by the shopkeeper at the Plushie Palace. Plushie collectors who strive to keep their gallery in impeccable order, have noticed that there is rather obvious Plushie missing from their collections.

     We all know this Pet, who is always there sharing in our sorrows when the Neopets site is down for maintenance. I am of course referring to the Red Pteri.

     When this author put together her own immense Plushie gallery to do research for this particular article, she did discover that there was a Magical Red Pteri Plushie, but why would the “normal” Red Pteri be excluded?

     This author feels like this needs further inquiry, and she endeavoured to interview the shopkeeper at the Plushie Palace which is the only shop in Neopia where one can buy Plushies, to ascertain their opinions on the missing Red Pteri Plushie and if there is anything that could be done.

     The interview is as follows:

     Lady of the Plushie Court: “Thank you for taking the time to speak to me today, Miss Plushie Palace shopkeeper.”

     Plushie Palace Shopkeeper: “Yes of course, I would have preferred to have done this outside of opening hours though, I have a lot of people in here trying to restock you see.”

     LotPC: “Yes I can see that, quite a popular shop you have here, very competitive, you must keep a large range of stock to keep everyone coming back so often.”

     PPS: “Yes I pride myself on having such a large range available.”

     LotPC: “Can you tell me then why there has been what I am hoping is a gross oversight on your part, that there is no Red Pteri Plushie available to purchase?”

     PPS: “Well no actually I cannot.”

     LotPC: “Why is that?”

     PPS: “Well because I don’t actually make the Plushies that are sold here, I can only stock and sell the Plushies that are made available to me by The Neopets Team.”

     LotPC: “You don’t make them? Interesting, well have you never wondered why there were only Blue, Green, and Yellow Pteri Plushies available to you?”

     PPS: “I don’t dare question them! I just sell what they release to me!”

     LotPC: “Well you’re not going to be able to help me then, pray tell, do you know who I should speak to?

     PPS: “Well you could try and track down one of those new TNT members! I think they can often be found speaking to the Neopian community!”

     LotPC: “Thank You for your time, and good luck with all of these customers!”

      Well gentle Neopians, fear not, even though the shopkeeper could not help us, this author is committed to discovering why there is no Red Pteri Plushie and was able to track down one of those aforementioned TNT members, after a few very insistent messages and with the promise of anonymity, she agreed to speak to me.

     The interview is as follows.

     Lady of the Plushie Court: “Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today *name redacted*”

     TNT member: “Yes well you didn’t give me much of a choice”

     LotPC: “Oh don’t be too sour, your precious Petpet will be returned to you as long as you answer my questions”

     (Please note dearest Neopians, that this author did not like taking such extreme measures but felt the situation was dire enough to warrant such means of persuasion)

     TNT: “What is it that you want to know?”

     LotPC: “Well firstly, are you aware of the ~gross~ oversight on your team's part, that they have either knowingly or unknowingly robbed one of their Neopets the opportunity to have a Plushie made in their honour?”

     TNT: “I was not aware of that, no”

     LotPC: “Then please allow me to bring to your attention the missing aforementioned pet, the Red Pteri”

     TNT: “What on earth is a ‘puh-terry’?”

     LotPC: “Well it is a Neopet of course, the little flying Neopet with wings and a beak.”

     TNT: “Oh you must mean ‘Terry’?

     LotPC: “Well yes, however you say the little creature's name, now you are aware that all Neopets come in 4 basic colours?”

     TNT: “Yes of course, Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow”

     LotPC: “Correct, and with almost all of the species of Neopets available, Plushies have been made of their base colours, Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow. There is only ONE instance of all 4 colours not being made into Plushies, and that is the Red Pteri.”

     TNT: “So you have tracked me down, stolen my Petpet, all because there is ONE plushie missing?! What exactly do you want me to do about that?”

     LotPC: “Well if it is within your power, myself, and I’m sure I speak for all of the avid Plushie collectors out there, we would like the situation rectified. To put it plainly, we want a Red Pteri Plushie to be created and released into circulation”

     TNT: “I’m not sure if I can help you.”

     LotPC: “Why on this earth not?”

     TNT: “Well, for one, that is not my department, and two, there are much more important items that are in the works to be made and released.”

     LotPC: “Well if you cannot help me, what should I do?”

     TNT: “Have you tried speaking to the shopkeeper over at the Plushie Palace?”

     LotPC: “ Yes I just came from there and she was unable to help me, she said that she can only sell what your team provides.”

     TNT: “I see, well as much as I sympathize with you, I am not able to help you.”

     LotPC: “Are you able to point me in the direction of someone who can?”

     TNT: “Sure, head over to the support page and create a ticket, I’m sure someone will get back to you shortly.”

     Well gentle Neopians, as you can see the interview with the TNT staff member did not come to fruition, their beloved Petpet was returned and she was thanked for her time.

     This author has indeed created a ticket, and we await the response most earnestly. Whilst doing my own research I happened to stumble across this image…

      …which only adds to the mystery, there is an image for said Plushie…but no released Plushie. Interesting. I hope that the next time I write to you, dearest gentle Neopians, that I write to you with good news and hopefully a released Plushie in our hands.
