Hi... My name is Moogoo, an' I am an elephante. I was born, February 6th, 2001 in a jungle in Kerala, which is the southern peninsula of India. It is very green everywhere here. When you look up, you can only see a little bit of the blue sky... because the trees are so thick, it seems like the sky is mostly green. On the floor there is moss everywhere, like bright green velvet. I like to roll around on it. The wind only hits the top of the trees here, so all the time there is this "sshhhhhhh" noise, and if you wait just a few seconds, you will hear a monkey scream (cuz he's happy), or one of those big red birds that make sounds like "Ee-hoo, ee-hoo, ee-ee-ee!". Jini gave me the name Moogoo (actually the whole name is MoogooMuffin, plus my middle name) cuz she wanted everyone to be able to say my name, an' because she used to call her little brother that when he was as little as I am. She said he was a little chubby, had little legs, and a big head with big eyes, just like me....so I got his name!

There are a lot of elephantes here, and you know what? There is a little village nearby and there are people there too! They're not mean people, like those kind that like to shoot little animals. Their little kids like to swim in the lagoon near our jungle, and their parents don't worry about them when we hang out there. They tell their kids, "All elephantes have good souls. If you are kind to them, they will protect you." My favorite one is C, because she gives me cookies and she makes me laugh. Oh, I almost forgot, the people give us stuff to eat. My favorite food is chewy chocolate-chip cookies and bananas. A lot of the other elephantes here like peanuts and sugar cane, but my teeth haven't come in yet, so I can't eat that tuff stuff yet. Jini worries about me cuz she says I am still a little baby, but I heard one of the other elephantes tell her she shouldn't worry because I will grow up fast and most of the other creatures don't like to attack elephantes. She says we have especially good friends among the kaus, peophins and unis, but we have to watch out for kougras. Oh-oh, I see one over there in the tall grass. I better go hide!
