Have you ever noticed that the average pets never win this thing? They all have these great stories filled with how brave and great they are. Well, I want to bring a sense of normality to this here competition. My name is Ruhihana, but my friends call me Ruhi. Actually, I really only hang out with my brother (Ghakarhi) but we can always pretend I have a lot of pals, right? Anyway, I always wanted to win this. And probably not for the right reason... See, I always liked the trophies. I must give it to you, you guys can make some really good trophies! Okay, but to my point about how average I am...

I've tried to win things before that would make me stand out. I've entered the beauty contest. Now, let's be quite honest. Moehogs aren't the prettiest things. We don't have a flowy mane like Unis or a cute face like Gelerts. But we have hooves, if you care... Anyway, I realize you can win in the Moehog division. But, needless to say, I've never won. Apperantly, all the other Moehogs are more attractive than me! Even the males! Now, how does that make a girl feel when a GUY is thought to be more BEAUTIFUL. Yeah. Exactly.

So, that didn't work. So then I tried to be a Battledome champion. My mom thought I should start on an easier opponent, so I battled Punching Bag Bob. But... I know he can't hit back, but he said some mean things... AND you have to have endurance to make it in that place. No one told me that. So, there I was, giving him a one-two and a two-three and a "Kee-yah!" and he just wouldn't lose! This bag, we must admit, has got a lot of endurance. Luckily, my mom took pity on my complaints of how I couldn't finish it. Thus ended my dreams of being a Battledome champion.

Then I decided to be a worker. At that Faerie job place, right? But I could never get up the motivation to actually pick up a ticket. I figure, in a way, I was giving back to my community by letting all the other pets get a job. I mean, let's face it, some people need the lessons the working life presents more than, say... me. So, in all actuality, my failure to get a job coupon is my way of helping my fellow Moehog... or any other species of Neopet.

Well, don't you see? Normalcy has been long ignored in all these contests. If you give me a trophy... I mean... give me the recognition for being just an average robot Moehog, well... you'll be giving thousands... no, millions... no, bajillions... okay, I'm exaggerating... Anyway, if you recognize me for being a kind, caring, albeit normal Neopet, you'll be recognizing the others out there who don't have a shiny golden trophy. We normal pets, we don't own any gold medals... but we own hearts of gold. And isn't that what the important thing is? Thank you. =)
