Assignment 53
by Bluewisp16

TNT has done it again,
Assignment 53 is a hit,
Although I have a feeling
The avatar might be part of it.

Eddix and Moxi are Alien Aishas,
Prepared to serve the invasion force,
And rescue all the scientists
From the planets' rugged course.

Although it’s not that easy, you see,
As monsters block your way,
You can jump on some and they will die,
But from others you should stay away.

Collect the Nerkmids for 10 points each
And the gross food for a life,
I understand you're hesitant,
But please try and solve this strife.

For, otherwise, the scientists will have to stay
On planets such as Wuba Prime,
Where they will hang out with the monsters
And live on fleeting time.

I heed a warning for the final level,
You'll find a robot prepared to fight,
Combined with molten metal,
His projectiles are sure to smite.

So, get out there;
What are you waiting for?
There are five planets to go to,
So get out there and explore

An Encounter With The Lever Of Doom
by Too_kule

Virtupets, a wondrous place!
There's no greater world, I swear.
It has lights and food and Splat-a-Sloth,
And... a lever over there?

To say that I'm the curious type
Is, with no exception, true.
So when I see that lever there,
I ask, "What does it do?"

I give the thing a speedy tug,
A rapid little pull.
A hand shoots out, it reaches fast...
Now my wallet's no longer full!

That was a fluke! A thieving hand
In this world that I adore?
It cannot be. I pull again,
But it steals from me once more.

I mourn my bygone Neopoints...
I could have upgraded my shop!
There must be more, so again I try
For hours and don't stop.

Now I've lost all of my cash
To this lever so bizarre.
But hey, it's cool! At least I get
To use this jazzy avatar.

Trophy Quest
by Tanti888

The Return of the Return of Dr. Sloth,
For far too long
A high score trophy I've sought,
but with this game
The score is within my range,
And I WILL see my name
Grace the high score page.

I dart and I blast, interceptors will fall,
From two lasers to four, I will fry them all,
Multiplier skyrockets, Sloth must be appalled
When my keyboard's engaged,
Time slows to a crawl.

No need for shields,
They can't even touch me!
Phone rings, I don't answer,
You can't interrupt me.
Giant fungus? They look more like
Brains in my eyes,
but no matter, my ships loaded
With jumbo-sized fungicide.

It's been a long flight, and I'm a great flyer,
But I hate these big orbs
That absorb all my fire,
Then fire them back,
My extra lives are all gone,
But that's okay,
36 billion points is good for the bronze!

Up until now, I've managed trophies at Cheat
And Pyramids and Cellblock,
All else I was beat,
No words could describe
The immense joy that I felt,
Finally, a REAL high score trophy
To put under my belt.

It was game over,
The final screen was displayed,
A huge smile on my face
As my score was being sent on this day!
But that great smile quickly turned to a frown,
No, wait... it can't be... the servers are down.

Glowing Star
by Meghapsey

A green Aisha found himself
Peering o'er a wooden shelf,
Whereupon he saw the brush,
Which filled him with a gleeful rush.

His dream had been to be the same
As stars, to which he owed his name,
And so, to see the paint right there,
Was wonderful beyond compare!

His owner found him marveling,
At the newly-bought shining, glowing thing.
To make him wait would be too cruel,
So, off they went, seeking the Rainbow Pool.

The painting process brought no pain,
But was like a shower of starlit rain.
The glow was just as had been dreamed,
As both his fur and smile gleamed.

From then on, all those who came near
Were treated to light with no peer
For, after gaining his bright hue,
He thought himself a night star, too!

This short tale stands to teach to you,
That each brush is
Some pet's dream come true.
And what's our Aisha up to?
Still shining, as a star should do!

A Game Of Key Quest
by Jokerless

Both intent upon their mission,
Two rival players on one board
Battle using strength and wit,
Determined to win the reward.

Dice rolled, whether high or low,
Propels them away from starting place,
Each after five coloured keys,
Thrown into a desperate race.

Lucky until that unfortunate stop,
Anything may effect your game,
Perhaps a power-up or Random Event,
Could be just the stuff to blame?

One, however, has an advantage --
The tide could easily be turned.
Given persistence, you will see!
That winner's slot returned.

Within the game's last moment,
As you land before the door,
Win or lose it doesn't matter --
It's a bit of fun you wanted more!
