The Secret Meepit 'Stache
by Dr_tomoe

It appears that Virtupets,
in an effort to clean,
has thrown out a perfectly good
evil plot machine.

And who should happen to find
the discarded machine of doom?
Why, the Meepit Overlord found it
once it landed with a boom.

And now, with the device
firmly in his grasp,
the Meepit domination of Neopia
can begin in a flash!

The blueprints are made,
the plans modified to make sure
that everything goes to plan
(and hurts a Feepit, for good measure),

and now all that stands between
the Meepits and their glory
is for someone to push that button
to bring forth the start of their story.

So, will you help the Meepits?
They'll offer items, riches, Neocash.
Just push the red button to start
and discover the Secret Meepit 'Stache.

Coming Home: A Sonnet
by Poundpet_rescuer

An Angelpuss looks cautiously about...
The Haunted Woods are dark for there's no moon.
Bright Kreludor has slipped behind a cloud,
And, next to her, an eerie black lagoon.

She searches for the trail but it is gone,
The Pant Devil has stolen it away.
But then she sees the east: it is the dawn!
Replacing fear with a brand-new today.

So, finally, the Angelpuss can see
Her little cabin sitting in the glen,
She knocks and then her heart is full of glee
As she can see her family in the den.

They welcome her with open arms (or paws),
And then give her a flashlight, just because.

Inside Vira's Mirror
by Beanstoast

With vivid eyes akin to fireflies
And a pelt of silken azure,
I deemed myself a striking prize;
A harmony to Fyora’s treasure.

Amid my fellow Lupes I’d parade,
Coddling ripe fruits of their envy.
Yet, my satisfaction was mislaid --
My greed flourishing like ivy.

Then, on a day of radiance and gleam,
I stole to the Rainbow Fountain for a sip.
“My sweet, I know of what you dream,”
I heard behind me -- a voice sharp as a whip.

I turned to face a horned figure,
Swathed in shawls of charcoal.
“At last, you will get your answer,”
She purred, firming her control.

Her searing eyes stirred my alarm,
Yet her promise was too enticing:
To be an ageless, alluring charm,
Without contracts, trades, or pricing.

A simple mirror she handed to me,
Along with her enchanting vow.
Upon hours I’d gaze inside this gift to see
The blossoming beauty I held now.

I took pleasure in being imprisoned in my head,
Letting my budding ego reign.
But bonds of friendship
Were snapping like thread --
I was devoted only to my selfish gain.

A smile that once flashed pearls of delight
Now seemed false, harsh, and cruel.
As my body altered to suit my vain plight,
I became a toy of Vira; her vengeful tool.

Now, here I sit -- forever a porcelain doll.
And, though I possess the everlasting,
I wail behind wretched solitude’s wall --
My form and vein contrasting.

A Battledomer's Woe
by Weirdo12344555

In an Editorial, a few weeks ago,
There was a question asked
By a Battledomer in woe.
"Will we be getting anything BD-related soon,
Because Battledoming is
The most expensive thing to be doin'?"
TNT responded with one word, yes.
That answer left all the BDers in distress.
"Will it be a war or plot?" asked many.
Others worried if it will be any.
The next week a new item came to The Cove.
To try and get the Face Mace, many drove.
That left them wondering, "Is that all?"
But, once more, it was TNT's call.
A week later, a new mace
Came to Hidden Tower.
And, to get that hasty mace,
Many had scoured.
Still, "Will this be the last?" some had debated
Until the BD Chat just waited and waited.
Many are nervous that that's
What was promised,
While others hope for something
To come upon us.
All we can do is ask
If there's something coming next
But, for now, we must wait
To see if war is something TNT rejects.

Your Stage, Your Fire
by Karina_ejb

Luscious lips and frigid scales,
Sparkling eyes and shining fur,
Voters lining up to hail
The next Beauty Contest winner.

With all the "dos" and "don'ts" of the
Current Neopian fashion,
Make extra sure your style will show
A flame that burns with passion.

If you flash a smile and be yourself,
The Kougra that you are,
You may just win the happy yelp
Of your proud and gleeful owner.

Alas, when all is said and done,
Only the judges possess the power,
That if they may say, “You have won!”
With a colorful rain of flowers.

You hope that maybe this unwav'ring light
That burns inside your heart
Will scorch any doubt inside their minds
That you're a true work of art.

As your rivals rise to center stage
In glowing (yet sketchy) attire,
You cannot help but flip their page:
For this is your book, your fire.
