NIMMO DAY SPECIAL
Nimmo Pencil Case
by Jo_eccentric
My little Nimmo Pencil Case,
It holds my writings' sticks.
Three pens and a pencil,
They're my favourite picks.
I bought this from School Supplies
In Neopia one afternoon.
I spotted this among the shelves
While whistling a fine tune.
The lily pad upon its case,
It drew my attention.
It was this week's bestseller,
As the Techo did mention.
I was shocked at how affordable
This little blue case was.
A zip to secure my writing tools,
No more lost pens from clumsy paws!
I bought not one, but three,
For my close Neofriends.
I know they like to organise
All their pencils and pens.
I'm happy I found this pencil case,
It was a really great buy.
I'd recommend it to everyone;
Why don't you give it a try?!?

Reb Weemelott, The Famous Nimmo
by Painted_dreams87
During the month of Relaxing, on the 15th day,
comes a very special time,
a chance to celebrate Nimmos in a new way.
As it is also during the Altador Cup,
let's take a look at a famous Nimmo player,
one who will never give up.
Playing for the team of Brightvale,
Reb Weemelott wins by any means
and refuses to ever fail.
Known for metal in his elbow pad
and hitting opposing players,
one might consider him to be mad.
With a special move he calls the icepick
and a mouth to back it all up,
the memory of him will surely stick.

Adventures On Nimmo's Pond
by Dr_tomoe
A wide open water hole
going in all directions,
filled with tasty flies
But, upon further inspection.
There are many lily pads
that are floating around,
clogging up the way
and bringing others down.
A single Nimmo there
in this crowded water hole
took it upon himself
to destroy them whole!
But several pads are tricky
and secretly split apart,
as a huge one could be many
which soon float about!
Use a bomb, if needed,
and try not to panic --
keep calm and blast lily pads
is the best game tip.
Get the high score to win,
but remember to have fun.
After all, it's supposed to be
a game enjoyable for everyone.

The Unconventional Gothic Nimmo
by Sugarypixiestix2
Her favourite colour is black,
it's a shade she'll never lack.
She loves to pair it with red,
adoring each and every thread.
Her bag is always full of books,
especially true tales of crooks --
hoping to one day be a detective,
becoming a Nimmo who's effective.
Neopians have called her a Goth
just because of her chosen cloth,
but it doesn't bother her at all;
in fact, it makes her feel tall.
To her, Goth is darkly enchanting,
so she ignores negative ranting.
Many Neopians fear her styles,
just because she rarely smiles.
Until they get to know her well
and find out that she is swell.
Full of knowledge and intrigue,
being truly in her own league.

Gorunda The Crone
by Phadalusfish
Deep in the swamps of the Haunted
Woods lives a Nimmo every Neopian
Has heard of, but no one can
Tell you anything about.
"Do you have my Gorunda the Wise?"
The light faerie asks, and off the
Kacheeks and Draiks and Shoyrus
Scamper to Neopian shops, looking
For the single Neopoint, blue-backed
Collectable Card. Lured with the
Prospect of a level, how many of
Them really read the card?
None. None, except me.
Beyond the broken fences of the
Deserted Fairground and out of sight
Of the Brain Tree's pulsating,
Orange brain, the woods give way
To marshland. The familiar terrors
Of Halloween stories disappeared
Behind me, and new terrors loomed
Up in the swamp: whispers on the wind
From Kreludor above, pushing me
Toward madness. Faceless passersby
Shrouded in reddish light. Air that
Shimmered and tore. Doors to
Other dimensions. In the middle
Of it all loomed a hut made of
the covers of rotting books.
I paused outside the door.
Some of the spines were still
Readable -- Starting Spells. Book
Of Ice Magic. Golden Shoyru Book.
Book of Symbols. Bitten Book.
All desecrated, pages rended
From their spines, the rest
Pressed into service as building
Material. I shuddered. Knowledge...
...Knowledge that Gorunda
Probably possessed. I got up
The courage to knock. The sound
Was muffled -- Cybunny paw on carboard --
But the door, Warped Book's cover,
Front and center, swung inward
And a wrinkled Nimmo appeared,
Leaning on her cane.
"Someone came to see me." She tried
To smile, but age had gotten
The best of her when Neopia was
Young. "Come in." She hobbled
Backward into the single room.
"I suppose you want to know
All the secrets of the ancient
World?" she asked me.
I nodded. "Well, there are many.
Come, sit. This will take a while."

Songs Of Nimmo Day
by K1ngn1nja
It begins with just one,
a lonesome croak in a solitary pond,
but the others begin to join the fun.
The croaks and the chortles,
they form together like a puzzle --
it is soft and approaching full throttle.
They sing of what they know;
flies, bugs, lily pads,
and even the fish below.
Every year upon this day,
like complicated clockwork,
they do the very same.
The heart behind the song,
it is so very beautiful,
and yet not so very long.
They quiet as they began,
one by one,
and then it is the end.

Ryshu The Master
by Popit99
Ryshu the Master,
At the top of the Mystery Island volcano,
Ryshu stands before the inferno.
He takes a strong stance
And falls into a trance.
In the smothering heat
He does not miss a beat.
Ryshu hears the volcano’s roar,
Feels the sweat from every pore.
Training in these conditions that are extreme
But, as it would seem,
Ryshu puts his skills to the test
And let his results do the rest.
After meditating all this time,
He is now in his prime.
Ryshu lashes
through the sounds of lava splashes
With a, “Hi-yah! Hee-ho!”
His fists swinging to and fro,
The Nimmo jumps and kicks in midair,
Doing what others would not dare.
With grace he lands.
He puts his hands together and stands.
He makes his usual vows
Of teaching his skills and bows.
Ryshu lives for fighting,
But there is nothing more exciting
Than to help one’s power
Bloom and flower.

All Sorts Of Nimmos
by Dreamingone
There are all sorts of Nimmos
in fair Neopia's realm. Some
are colors dazzling, bewitching,
others do not astound.
But each color is fitting,
for each Nimmo is different,
and each is worth celebrating
on this Nimmo Day.
Nimmos of all shapes and
sizes are loved, yet
many Nimmos still need
a home. Try to adopt one,
for they are great 'pets
and will bring a glad smile
to every cynic's face.
The baby Nimmo is so
cute and so small, while
other Nimmos are strong,
and quite tall. You'll
find Nimmos who are experts
at games, and Nimmos who
train, or sing in the rain.
There are all sorts
of Nimmos across Neopia,
and if you want a great 'pet,
just run to the Pound
and you'll find many
of these wonderful 'pets
just waiting for
you to take them home.
A Nimmo's the best,
what's not to love?
No matter how small
or how tall, what color
or age, every Nimmo's unique
and worth celebrating today!
