Is not very big;

Just green and round.

The shimmer of flies
And stars and water;
The blur of wingbeats,
Droplets of sound.
With silvery thoughts is a Nimmo's head crowned.

A shifting in the air,
A flip, a flicker;
Just one swift movement
And a meal is downed.
Such light Nimmo pleasure is every day found.

The life of a Nimmo
Is as simple as that;
The smallest, briefest fly
Has the power to astound.
It's all embedded in that soft lily ground.

Count of the Night

There is a tale that once was told,
But only to those who knew,
Of the hidden figure on the island
Of the bouncing Blumaroos.

Deep in slumber within the walls
Of a castle shrouded in fog,
Lay in wait a dark and evil force,
Undefeated by Judge Hog.

Crimson eyes view Neopia,
In a perspective that makes most cringe,
Stirring from chambered sleep,
The coffin squeaks from a rusty hinge.

A shadow emerges from the case,
Velvet wings spread out wide,
Dark clouds begin to form,
As he heads out for a midnight ride.

Flying over all the lands,
A young Kougra from below,
Spots a creature in the sky,
With red eyes set aglow.

Perching upon an old tree branch,
The Neopet does bide his time,
Until he can fly again,
To commit the perfect crime.

Turning to one side,
His eyes fall upon the tree,
As it speaks, "It's time you've come,"
The pet replies, "What do you want with me?"

"It must be obvious, my winged friend,
The Brain Tree can see what is true,
You're infamous throughout Neopia,
As the grand Count von Roo."

"Ahhh, my reputation humbles me,
All I want is to rest."
Brain Tree speaks, "Your lies are stretched,
Or do you simply jest?"

A sly grin creeps onto his face,
Von Roo then takes to flight,
"My will never decides to rest,
Now you see my plight."

One more trip above Neopia,
Then back to home he goes,
Another night Neopets are spared,
Until the Count's hunger grows.

As he settles down to slumber,
And the coffin lid begins to close,
Count von Roo sings his rhyme
Of sleep-inducing prose.

"My dear sweet Neopets,
I love the way you flee,
When I appear in the sky,
And your eyes catch sight of me."
