Doomsday Rider VII: Military Intelligence - Part Five by yugo149 |  |
Previously, on Doomsday Rider VII, Doomsday_Rider made it to the top floor
of the fortress and defeated M-I in one collossal battle. In one desperate attempt
to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, M-I launched a missile capable of
destroying Neopia and all its inhabitants. Luckily, the missile did not explode.
Now, M-I and Doomsday_Rider are locked in a race to the missile, which will decide
the fate of Neopia.
"Arrgh!" I shouted, diving out of the chamber after
M-I The silo was still red-hot, and the catwalk had been destroyed when the missile
was launched. M-I fired a Kanena at me to try and keep me back. I changed my
position into a sort of dive-bomber and plummeted straight toward the floor.
M-I landed a split second before I did, and took off running down the glass corridor.
I followed close behind him, locked in flight. M-I snatched up the unconscious
Kromanè as he went by, and still, I pursued him. I would not let Neopia be reduced
to rubble. Soon, we would be approaching the door back down to the second floor.
Finally, after a few minutes, we began to approach
the security door. "Kanena!" M-I shouted, holding his palm out toward the security
door. He blasted a huge, gaping hole in it, and flew through, still toting Kromanè
behind him. Boomdogg, Sabre, Majin Shadow, Cushidra, and Anubis III all watched
the two of us rushing to get to the missile first.
Majin Shadow took off and followed behind me.
He caught up to me and looked over at me. "Erm...exactly what are we doing?"
Majin Shadow asked.
"We're trying to beat M-I to a missile he launched
from the final floor of this place that didn't detonate when it was supposed
to," I said, still focusing on the path ahead.
"Aah, I see. And exactly why are we doing this?"
"Because if we can't get to that missile first,
this entire planet is doomed," I said, transitioning back into my hyper form
stage 2. I rushed ahead of Majin Shadow and M-I just as we got back down to the
first floor. Majin Shadow stopped to explain what was happening to Dimee and
the others. I heard Shusario gasp just as I bolted out the front door and veered
toward the missile's landing zone. M-I pulled up beside me, and we became evenly
matched. I stuck my foot out and tripped M-I and finally got to the rocket. I
quickly searched the rocket's body, trying to find the control station. I found
it after a few seconds, reached in, and yanked out all the wires just as M-I
got to the rocket.
"All right, so you beat me to the missile,"
M-I said, his face and voice void of any and all expression. "Away, Doomsday_Rider,
before I make filets out of you."
"Now you listen here, M-I!" I shouted, my eyes
becoming a piercing fiery red. "I have lived on this planet my entire life and
I will not let you destroy it, do you hear me?!" M-I turned away from me, still
holding the unconscious Kromanè.
"I have some unfinished business to take care
of," M-I said, setting Kromanè down on the ground. Kromanè floated up, and began
to float toward M-I The two collided and a new warrior formed. The warrior had
yellow skin, piercing red eyes, the pants and shoes of M-I, the wings and upper
body of Kromanè, only on a more powerful scale, and he had a long, thin, yellow
tail that he slammed against the ground, leaving a small crater.
"Now, I am no longer M-I nor Kromanè, I am...Ienou,
the Embodiment of Destruction," Ienou said, his enormous gossamer wings flapping.
He lifted off of the ground, and raced toward Neopia Central.
9:47 AM NST: Neopia Central...
Ienou fired two, blood red beams of light out
of his palms, tearing apart the bottoms of building. I stood on top of a building,
adjacent to Ienou. Civilians ran through the streets screaming for their lives.
He formed one enormous energy ball, raised it into the air, and exploded it.
Thousands of energy bombs rained down on the streets, killing innocent people.
"That does it! Unless I'm dreaming, Ienou is
a real menace," I said, gritting my teeth together. Ienou repeated his attack,
killing even more people. That was enough to send me over the edge. A new energy
had begun to boil inside of me. My wings folded into my spine, my chest and
stomach began to grow longer and form a snake-like body. The spike on the back
of my head grew three times its size, then split into two. Those two fragments
began to get thinner and form two long antennae. My legs began to shrink and
shrink until they had folded into my body, like my wings. My arms grew much
longer, and from each of my elbows emerged a long spike that went up to my shoulder.
I looked in surprise at the new form of my body. I had completely changed. Ienou
simply stared at me with his piercing red eyes.
"Aha, so you have reached hyper form stage 3,
making you equal in power to me," Ienou said, grinning. "Excellent, I could
use a good challenge before I wipe out this planet."
"You will pay for the deaths you have caused,"
I said. Even my voice had changed. This new form was incredible! I was ready
to fight.
10:04 AM NST
I rushed toward Ienou and began to throw punches
at him as quickly as I could. Ienou simply stood still while I hit him and he
didn't even blink. He stared at me again. "Is that all you've got?" Ienou asked,
kicking me once in the side of the head. I shot down to the ground, and hit
the bottom of a building, causing it to collapse. I lost my hyper form state
3 instantly. With the energy I still had, I looked up. Majin Shadow, Belgora,
Shusario, and the others came over to me. I was laying battered and bruised
in the rubble of the building. Majin Shadow helped me up.
"Hey, Shadow?" I asked him.
"Yeah, what?" He answered.
"You know how Anubis III and Boomdogg do fusions?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"We're going to have to merge to beat Ienou,
you and I," I said.
"Wow, he must really be powerful, then."
"He is. I got up to hyper form stage 3, and
he knocked me out of it in one shot."
"Okay, Rider, get up and we'll try to merge,"
Majin Shadow said. I stood up, and walked a comfortable distance away. Majin
Shadow and I stared into each other's eyes, and I began to glow blue while he
began to glow gold. Two bright beams of light shot from us, glowing the same
colours we were, and collided in mid-air. Our bodies began to slowly fade from
our current positions and a new warrior began to appear where the beams of light
had collided. When the fusion was complete, the new warrior looked towards Ienou.
He flew over to Ienou and began to speak. The new Shoyru was green, with Majin
Shadow's red markings, and four spikes coming out of the back of his head.
"Greetings, Ienou," the Shoyru said. "My
name is Kelnak." The two began to fly into the air. They collided in mid-air
a few times before their battle had begun. Kelnak was attacking furiously and
too quickly for Ienou to block or dodge, but he sure was trying. After a short
spar, the two broke apart from each other, and stared each other down, still
flying.
Hmm...all that and Ienou doesn't have a scratch
on him. Kelnak thought to himself. He looked up, and saw an enormous energy
ball floating about a mile above Ienou. It was colossal! A mile wide in every
direction! Aha. Kelnak thought.
Kelnak began to ready himself to fire his version
of the Kanena. A green ball of energy began to form between his hands. "Green
Light Kanena!" Kelnak shouted, firing the Kanena at the energy ball. It lost
about a tenth of its size from that single attack. Kelnak began to charge up
another Green Light Kanena, only this time at maximum power. Ienou began to
charge up a Kanena in one hand and a Dark Kanena in the other. He slammed his
fists together, and the Kanenas fused together and became a Green Light Kanena.
They both fired their attack at the same time, and they collided in between
them.
"Maximum Heat!" Ienou shouted. His Green Light
Kanena began to become more powerful and force Kelnak's back. Kelnak concentrated
and his Green Light Kanena began to become more powerful as well. Soon, Kelnak's
Kanena was forcing back Ienou's, even coupled with the Maximum Heat. The two
Kanenas both fired at Ienou and struck him, forcing him back a few yards, and
dizzying him. Kelnak charged up another Green Light Kanena and fired it at the
energy ball in the sky. When it hit, the energy ball lost one fourth of its
size.
"All right, a few more of those and that energy
ball is toast," Kelnak said, concentrating on Ienou. "I've got a surprise for
you," Kelnak said, flying up to the energy ball.
"What's he doing?" Ienou asked himself, watching
Kelnak fly up.
"Now what is that Shoyru up to?" Belgora asked.
The fate of all of Neopia depended on Kelnak winning this fight, and it appeared
as though he were running away! Ienou leapt up and began to flap his enormous
wings, flying up along with Kelnak, making it harder for Kelnak's plan to work.
"Aaw, forget the plan!" Kelnak shouted, firing
rapid Green Light Kanenas at the energy ball in the sky. The energy ball shrank
until it was the size of Ienou's fist. Kelnak fired one final Green Light Kanena
that vaporised the energy ball. Kelnak had made Ienou vulnerable. Kelnak stopped,
and fell back to the ground, and Ienou followed. Kelnak was enveloped in white
fire. His wings grew much longer, as did his tail, and from his tail emerged
four spikes. Kelnak's skin, aside from the red markings, become pure white.
The fire faded away, revealing Hyper Kelnak Stage 2. While Kelnak began to charge
up a Green Light Kanena, Belgora, Dimee, Sabre, and the others leapt into the
fight and began to fight Ienou, keeping him busy.
Belgora slammed his fist into Ienou's neck and
he stumbled. Sabre kicked Ienou in the spine, and so forth, wearing the Embodiment
of Destruction down. Kelnak had charged his Green Light Kanena up to about half
of its full power.
"Everybody, get back!" Kelnak shouted. Everyone
retreated, and Kelnak fired the Green Light Kanena, which slammed Ienou into
the base of a building, leaving a crater. The building's base began to groan
from attempting to resist the force of Ienou hitting it. Ienou launched into
the building, and it began to collapse with Ienou still inside. Every sighed
in relief. Ienou was dead. No one could have survived that. A rock rolled out
of the rubble. Everyone looked over, tense. A pile of rubble, steel beams, concrete,
and shards of glass fell as a hand jutted up.
"Aah! No way, it can't be!" Kelnak shouted.
The hand searched for a grip, found one, and pulled the rest of its body out
of the rubble.
"I must admit, that did hurt," Ienou said, smirking.
He stood up, and formed two blood red balls of light in his hands, one in each.
Everyone but Kelnak ran, realising there was no way they could defeat him. Ienou
fired the beams of light at Kelnak and they scraped the ground, attempting to
hit their target. While Kelnak was dodging the beams, he was charging up another
Green Light Kanena that contained all of his remaining energy. When it was at
maximum power, Kelnak searched for an opening, and fired. The Green Light Kanena
tore through Ienou's stomach, shot into the sky and exploded.
Ienou coughed, and along with that cough, a
small stream of blood appeared in the corner of his mouth. "I...I don't...believe
this...I, Ienou, the...Emboidment of Destruction...have been...defeated," Ienou
said, falling to the ground. He lay motionless and his eyes became a pure white.
Kelnak separated back into Majin Shadow and I. We looked on at the dead Ienou.
We had won. Neopia was safe once again. The people and NeoPets that had survived
Ienou's earlier attack came rushing out of the remaining buildings, cheering.
The citizens lifted Majin Shadow and me up, still cheering. I closed my eyes
and smiled. The other walked alongside the crowd, cheering along with them.
I had never, ever, felt better than this.
