 Pet Name: Saimellow Owner: pam051 Breed: Lenny About Saimellow: One day while walking in the bazaar area, I came across a sad Lenny. She was dirty and wearing an ill fitting scarf. I tried to ignore her as she hunkered up on a park bench forcing her long orange legs to stretch out in an awkward position. She was skinny, her hair was disheveled and her eyes were downcast. I thought to myself, “Please let me sneak by and not have to hear her sad story”. I knew she must have one. Then from the corner of my eye, I saw her wet tear stained face. That did it! I warily walked over and sat next to her. “Are you okay? Want to tell me what’s wrong?” I asked.” My life is shattered! I’m being sent to the pound!” She blurted. Her bottom lip quivered as she continued. “My owner has three other pets that are all beautiful and excellent fighters. I was sent to the battledome to fight the pant devil and I lost! OHHH, that devil beat up on me, my owner’s face was hidden in shame, the other pets laughed and I ran from the fight! As I hit the withdraw button, I heard my owner scream “Saimellow! You’ve ruined me! When I catch you, you will go to the pound and be someone else’s problem!” I came here. My life is over!” I paused, gathering my thoughts. I could see cleaned up and fed properly, she’d be kind of pretty. Her stats showed she hadn’t read any books; she had no trophies, no battle training and no abilities what so ever. How did her owner expect her to behave in a fight when she wasn’t prepared? “Did you want to fight in the battledome?” I asked. She sat up straight saying, “Oh Yes! When I was a baby Lenny, my mom told me stories about my dad being a famous Lenny warrior. Sadly, my dad died fighting in the Meridell War. My dream has been to grow up and fight in the battledome.” I couldn’t resist, there was something about this feisty bird, “You know, I’m thinking of joining neopets, I just need a pet. I could adopt you, give you a good home, educate you, bless you with faeries and you could fight if you wanted to. I’d be proud to have you!” She leaped up, grabbed me in a bird hug and screamed, “Yes! Yes! I’d love that! Let’s start now!” That was 31 months ago. Together we have explored Neopets experiencing numerous adventures. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t swell with pride when I see what a beautiful, smart Lenny she has become (as you can see by the lovely portrait above). As a bonus, she country line dances and does a fine job in the battle dome. The greatest thing that has happened to me is the day I stumbled on her in the bazaar and joined Neopets. If only I could stop her from chattering so much. She rattles on and on and on for hours!
