The Plot Thickens
by Atomicwindstorm

Day feels like night here,
Pteris coast on oceanic winds.
They chitter, but not as happy,
not as cheerful as before.

Something is in the air, malice
in the far-off rolling waves.
The currents rock to-and-fro,
strong, waiting to break on the shore.

Neopia is stretching, flexing
her slender muscles.
She groans, yawning
and rubbing her sleepy eyes.

The storm is on, 'pets hide,
scurry away, seeking shelter.
The sun has no power here,
clouds render its warmth useless.

Almost mocking, not too far away,
is Kreludor, pulling with force.
He is a mighty warrior
and soulful conductor.

Tropical flora quivers in fear
as the waves get restless.
The moon won’t let them sleep.
The attack is inevitable.

Life is mum now, mimicking
the calm of night. Waves
are predators, with eyes shining.
The wind howls the war cry.

Neopians train in the great domes.
They ready themselves,
Preparing for a fight.
Could a plot be near?

Ode To Meridell
by Affluentflaw

You may not be pretty,
or shiny,
or new.
Your Flash games are strange,
neglected,
and few.
But despite all this criticism,
there's one thing that's true --
Olde Meridell,
I love you.

Your Mortogs; they shatter,
or change into dreams.
It's this kind of magic that
charms me, it seems.
Each day, into the Symol Hole
where no light beams.
Olde Meridell,
I love you.

Illusen asks for items
I'll never possess.
Past Level 30,
I just can't say yes.
But even her quests,
can't... suppress,
my love, for dear Olde Meridell.

At this point you're thinking,
"Why Meridell, why there?"
And the truth is, this world may be
a nightmare.
But after all these years, I still don't care!
Because...
dear Olde Meridell,
I love you!

Buried Treasure, What Will You Get?
by Blondygirl1893

Hunting for treasure...
Never easy,
Sometimes fun.
You pull out a ticket
And hope that it's the one.

On Krawk Island, there's a place
Where the Neopets go,
To win their weight in gold
And discover many secrets
(Or so the story's told).

Buried Treasure!
Who doesn't seek treasure?
The Krawk assures you'll win a prize...
Today's your lucky day, you think;
Just imagine your fortune's size!

You hand the Krawk your Neopoints
For a chance of a lifetime.
The anticipation makes you feel sick, it
Makes you feel bad.
You pull out the ticket...

Haikus On Kreludor
by Secant

Defy gravity
With their airiness, the dark
Blocks of dusty rock.

Neocola flavors:
Cherry, berry, blueberry
Line vending machines.

Hardworking Grundos
Pass by the tasty soft drinks,
Heaving the boulders.

A contradiction?
What is air in space? Perhaps
Doctor Frank Sloth knows.

Please enjoy your trip
Back to Altador, where the
Moon shines day and night.

The Taunt Of Kanrik
by Icyowl

We had not seen old Kanrik
since the Bringer came around.
Yet, after all this time,
an image has been found.

“We’ll just leave this here,”
they said with a smile.
Rumors began to fly,
and theories did compile.

Would it be a plot,
or maybe a war?
Would there be a species
we’d never seen before?

Maybe a new land
would suddenly appear.
The excitement has built,
it must be drawing near.

What will happen?
What will it be?
The only ones who know
are good ol' TNT.
