Many miles beneath the ground,
There lies a city most profound:
By molten rock and gears of steel
The city's citizens are concealed.
Gas-lit lanterns line the streets
To light up cogs, machines, and grease;
In caves and chambers crowds reside,
Caring not for what's outside.
Though up above the skies are blue
(And all Neopians know it's true),
They choose to live beneath the dirt
In a place not so overt.
The magma's glow and candlelight
Help to prevent eternal night
By lighting walls and corridors
That make up caves' interiors.
So come and visit, if you please;
We promise you won't feel unease.
Come today or come tomorrow,
Please pay a visit to Moltara.

An Empty Shop Till

I shook my shop's coffers vigorously,
Listening for rattling Neopoints,
Only to hear a familiar sound --
And that sound of emptiness disappoints.

But adoring my store, with items galore,
I couldn't imagine why nothing's sold.
Call me Midas, for everything in here
Had might as well be made from solid gold.

Is my shopkeeper pocketing profits?!?
Is this some cruel act of tomfoolery?!?
Are thieves sneaking during nighttime hours,
Stealing my precious coins and jewellery?!?

"Pull yourself together, young businessman,
Stray from the web of grief 
Your mind has spun."
Perhaps discounted prices will boost sales...
Market inventory as two-for-one.

Too late; melancholy takes me under
Like an undertow of the ocean blue.
The shelves may be filled, 
But who's to be thrilled
When there's no one to enjoy it with you?

It never really was about money.
I guess I wanted to make some new friends.
To laugh, and share, and to hold dearly --
Far more important than these odds and ends.

And something unexpected happened --
A smile replaced the grimace that I wore.
I closed the till, collected my jacket,
And proceeded to exit through the door.

The Slushie Slinging Ode

In the month of Relaxing, once a year,
She works hard, night and day,
It’s the Tuskaninny Waitress
Keeping customers at bay.

The slushie stand has just three flavors,
It’s always packed and busy,
But the yummy taste outweighs the wait,
So don’t get in a tizzy.

“I want Chokato!” cries the Hissi,
“Zeenana’s for me!” the Tonu sigh,
One by one, the orders are taken --
Before they know it, the slushies fly.

Every now and then our heroine cracks,
So many customers, she can’t catch a break!
The cups speed down the aisle, 
Careful not to drop one...
There can’t even be one mistake.

Still, she returns to her post,
On her face a great big smile,
Because those customers 
Are quenched and happy --
That’s what makes this job worthwhile!

The big game is starting!
Everyone shout “Hooray!”
And after all the games are done,
Let’s get some slushies today!

The Beloved Giant Omelette

Within the prehistoric land
Resting upon a plateau,
Lies that famous eggy mess
No Neopian will forego.

As hungry 'pets stroll by with owners,
They gaze and lick their lips,
Then stop by to claim a piece
Before it oozes through their lips.

Although they will not admit it,
I think most owners would agree,
That the Giant Omelette was a great idea
To cheaply feed a family.

Sausage, clay, marshmallow,
Chokato, carrot and pea,
Each 'pet has a favourite:
Lucky there's no admission fee!

Make sure that you're not sneaky
And try smuggling another piece,
For Sabre-X will stop you,
Then growl and disturb the peace.

If you, my friend, come visit,
The Giant Omelette's plain,
I wish you luck, I hope that you
Wont pick up the rotten 
And damage your brain!

The Woes Of Hidden Avatars

I sit in my smelly domain,
Alluring, just out of reach.
I watch you ponder,
I watch you screech.

You see, "rotten" is my middle name.
I laugh at your frustration, 
I snicker while you wonder.
Such a sweet little temptation!

Days turn into weeks,
And weeks just pass me by.
I'm starting to grow lonely.
I'm starting to question why.

I see Meerca Chase,
That taunting grin, I cannot bear.
I see Wheel of Monotony --
Well, he's always lacked cheer.

The day Wishing Well left the shadows, 
I knew I was destined for solitude.
We were close, we were pals.
See, he had a real generous attitude.

I never thought he'd leave me,
I thought he was as tough as I.
But those pesky Neopians, 
They just wouldn't let him be!

So here I sit, 
In my smelly ol' heap.
Watching these squares come,
Watching those squares go.

I thought I wanted to taunt, 
I thought I wanted to tease.
But, my friend -- I don't.
I beg of you, help me, please!

I know I look dirty -- 
I am not funny like Oops, 
I'm not intimidating like MSPP.
But at least I'm not Snotty!

I want to be found, 
Oh, truly, I do!
I want to walk around
on any board I choose!

I implore you, dear, 
Do not forget me.
