Let’s bound over the grassy knolls
To the green kingdom where no cheese rolls,
Land from which the wise ones hale;
The well-learned kingdom of Brightvale.

Even the dense ones will be eager to learn,
For all they must do is let the wheel turn. 
For, those who believe they’re the wisest of all, 
Enter the castle and walk the king’s hall. 

No ruler is wiser than Hagan himself,
But no one dare borrow the books on his shelf,
If hand-made windows are more to your taste,
See Brightvale Glaziers, it’s owned by a Draik. 

With so much to offer from potions to motes,
The townsfolk of Brightvale 
Have reason to gloat.
The subjects are proud, 
But their manners refined 
Impoliteness, they say, hinders the mind. 

As the sun sets behind palace spires,
This land and its beauty are easily admired.
The wise ones rest early, so now we must go,
Brightvale remains brilliant as it was long ago.

King Hagan Of Brightvale

Listens to the tries
Of scholar after scholar who
try to impress him anew.
Day after day,
They try to sway
And he must weigh;
Was that something smart,
Or did the logic fall apart?
If he doesn’t understand it
Was the 'pet full of wit,

And buy books until they are poor?
His day is long,
The huge throng
Seems almost endless,
But he doesn’t stress.
Eventually he’ll take a break,
And make no mistake,
You’ll find him book in hand,
Hiding from all in the land
Till it’s time to begin again.
To judge wisdom is his domain.

The Lonely Brightvale Prison Guard

He's a Brightvale Techo prison guard,
a job he, at times, finds extremely hard.
Spending each night on dungeon patrol
was not exactly his ultimate life goal.

His company is mainly lowly thieves,
who like to discuss their pet peeves.
That is mostly about Brightvale laws,
which they find to be full of flaws.

Though, as a guard, he's full of honour,
watching cell doors can be a yawner.
On duty, as a rule, guards cannot talk,
unless it is strictly off the clock.

A guard must always be on the lookout
for any kind of trouble that may sprout,
but that has never happened in his time,
of which he considers lucky and sublime.

Some days he stares at the prison walls,
dreaming of attending the castle balls.
Yet deep in his heart he does comprehend,
Brightvale appreciates all he must defend.

To Hagan...

Oh Hagan, you annoy me,
Just thinking all the time.
I think, even you'd agree,
You're wasting your years prime.

You sit there on your chair,
While knowledge you contemplate,
Just so you can declare
What you think is intellectually great.

I'll admit, Brightvale isn't bad,
But I wouldn't reside in your kingdom.
Rubbing "knowledge" on every lass and lad;
You border the pompous, 
Spreading your wisdom.

Try this: you think you're so clever?
Be like that red and blue king.
He knows how to laugh, eat, and never
Does he badger the folks 'bout trivial things.

Your land, don't let knowledge completely rule.
The town folks will thank you later, you'll see.

southwest of its brother
celebrates today
an occasion like no other.

A city sprawled gently
across a verdant meadow,

and melons sweet and mellow.

and fortified with books;
a city that's majestic

A city that draws scholars
from all over Neopia,
home to a library deemed
academic utopia.

The Brightvale Avatar

The Wheel of Knowledge taunts me so.
I want its avatar.
I've spun it daily, six years now,
But can't land on the star!

I spin it every 9:00 AM.
I've almost given up.
I only want its avatar.
I seem to have bad luck!

I land atop the question mark
And get some tips for games,
Or land on wisdom from King Skarl,
Or get a fruit that's lame.

The Wheel of Knowledge never grants
The avatar I seek.
A lot of people are like me --
Their attitude is bleak!

But then, I see a lucky few
Who have the avatar.
A lot of them are one week old.
Their luck is quite bizarre!

So, spin I must, to get the prize
The Wheel of Knowledge gives.
The Brightvale avatar is cool.
I must stay positive!
