ZAFARA DAY SPECIAL

Are Zafaras Lucky?
by Chavo_guerrero

The luckiest of Neopets
They say the Zafara is,
The title belongs to nobody else,
It's apparently all his.

They say he's good with card games
Or the rolling of some dice,
If you ask him where the ball is,
He won't have to guess it twice.

I'm not sure this is true at all,
I think we've got it wrong.
I doubt that a Zafara's luck
Is really all that strong.

Because it's supposed to be quite lucky
To carry a Zafara's foot,
To hang it from a keyring,
Or in your pocket put.

And I cannot help but wonder,
If it's as lucky as they say,
Why did the Zafara from which it came
Lose it, anyway?

The Striking Opulent Zafara
by Sugarypixiestix2

When he walks out his mansion doors,
his outfit is so posh it almost soars.
He personally picked all of the cloth
and made sure it didn't look too goth.

A silver Uni-drawn carriage awaits him,
the Unis stand tall and properly prim.
Greeting them with a sparkling smile,
into the carriage he goes with style.

In a mirror he inspects his dark locks
while checking up on his many stocks.
This Zafara is a stock market whiz,
he's become a famous figure in the biz.

Today is his chosen day of relaxation,
which he'll spend shopping in elation.
As he peruses a trendy local shoppe
he hums a song by Wock Til You Drop.

At the register he tips the staff well,
being so pleased they sold his hair gel.
His Unis put his bags into the trunk,
and he gets into his coach with a clunk.

Charming Chadley
by Dr_tomoe

Hey now, did you see?
It's the greatest Zafara.
Over there, check him out!
He makes you want to go "Aaaaah!"

Take a look, see his smile?
You know it looks just fine!
After all, it was voted most charming
by The Neopian Times!

See how much we love him?
He's such a charmer, all right.
His teeth are so shiny
they could light up the night!

Keep on looking! He doesn't mind.
In fact, he loves the stares.
And we don't care what the Neopies said,
he definitely had "Best Hair!"

We always will support Chadley,
and even though Abigail says
he thinks he's king of the neighborhood,
I got news, he is!

Charming Chadley, keep arriving,
we hope to see you soon!
Not just at the Daily Dare,
you'll always make us swoon!

The Zafara Bakery
by Tyuio_k50

What's that sweet smell?
Oh my, it must be...
Wondrous goodies and sweets,
At Zafara's Bakery!

Cookies in the oven?
Oh wow, a chocolate chair!
Red velvet cake carpet?
Licorice dancing everywhere!

There's the Zafara baker,
Making strawberry cakes!
Cookies, cupcakes, and brownies,
In the oven it all bakes.

He makes vanilla frosting,
Sweet fillings to chew,
Yummy fondant and ice cream,
And cookies that are blue.

Perfect round rolls,
Soft and warm bread,
So chewy and good,
Creamy butter to spread.

Cherry-flavoured sprinkles
Topping a rainbow cake!
Each layer a new colour;
It must have been fun to make.

Minty swirl cookies,
Vanilla cream pie,
Blueberry frosting
So good you could cry.

The peanut butter muffin,
Filled with chocolate so sweet!
All so yummy and chewy,
There's plenty to eat!

But sadly, it seems,
It was all just a thought.
The sweet smells and tastes,
It all exists not.

Though The Zafara Bakery,
Yes, it's quite real!
Just get your Zafara
And cook a sweet meal.

Zafara Altador Heroine Dress
by Indulgences

I'm so in love with this fine dress!
It's golden, white, and blue.
Bedecked with golden jewelry,
It's royal through and through!

The dress is made of finest silk,
The purest, palest white.
It's tinted aqua on its hems --
A lovely, sparkling sight!

It glitters in the morning sun.
It shimmers every night.
The golden accents twinkle so,
A scintillating sight!

When next I make a Zafara,
I'll wrap her in this dress.
I want to make a Christmas one
Whose halo will impress!

Today belongs to Zafaras,
So celebrate their day!
Adorn them with their finest clothes
Without pause or delay!

The Epic Of Chadley *grin*
by Rielcz

His smile says a thousand words,
Half of which you can't comprehend.
He's green as you must be with envy
That you don't possess his great charm.

Some look at him and their vision is blurred:
He radiates epicness from end to end.
And while some claim he's not wholly friendly,
To a fan, he'd never do harm.

Chadley took over for AAA
During last year's Daily Dare,
Winning the hearts of the gaming crowd
With his wisdom and his grin.

Only Abigail seemed in dismay
At Chadley being there;
Often was the Aisha plowed
Down by his fans within.

After AAA returned
And Chadley was cast into the sea,
The Zafara returned to being the
School's signature logo.

Was through this a lesson learned?
He had to say, "Not really."
But he did have to agree,
"I should host next year's DD solo!"

Number One in his own fan club,
This Zafara really is stunning.
All who know his smile would concur,
To meet Chadley would be a dream.

"Most charming," the NT has dubbed
Chadley's smile three years running;
Redefining the word "Hipster"
Since his appearance Year 15.

Sarah The Brilliant
by Realityslips

A Zafara so pure and selfless,
absent of deceitful motives.
She is a wellspring of knowledge
with all the answers she gives.

Sarah is eager for the truth,
eyes often enticed by books.
Know-it-all, judge not by first sight,
she is much more than her looks.

For years, she stood vigilant
with a Slorg on her head,
holding a book by its spine,
always ready to be read.

But one day, she retired.
A new ticket system took reign.
But let us not forget all her efforts --
her memory never to be left in vain.

I remember my first question:
“What in Neopia is an avatar?”
She did not scoff. In fact, she smiled.
Patient with all the questions there are.

Years now, she is yet to be found.
I believe she is continuing her legacy.
In a library, surrounded by books,
a sea of knowledge up to her knee.

For, someday, Neopia will need her
to be there to answer a tough question.
When that time comes, she will be ready
to host a helpful Q&A session.

Sarah was every newbie’s guide
before the help page redesign.
She shed light and opened doors.
I know, because she helped open mine.

Edna's Tower
by Treeword

Cackling heard above the trees,
An ominous sound in the breeze,
You know you’re getting near
When a giant tower does appear.

A Zafara resides in this place,
An evil you will have to face,
For you need her help in brewing
A potion you’ve been pursuing.

Her face is set in a sneer;
Her roving eyes do appear
To reach into your soul
And burn a mighty hole.

You’ve agreed to fetch
For this horrible wretch
Ingredients for her draught,
Now there’s no way out.

You do as this Zafara requests,
You are afraid, you confess,
She’ll hold you on a grudge
And turn you to a pile of sludge.

The Zafara Princess
by Tj_wagner

The Mortogs gathered on the lily pads
and sang a croaking chorus to the sun.
Their song was happy, although out of tune.
And all joined in but one.

She sat apart from the others:
elegance in slime.
Tears filled her brilliant eyes
as she wondered of her crime.

“I am a Zafara Princess,” she croaked,
but her voice was like the others, all the same.
“I don’t know why this happened.
Why oh why did I change?”

She thought back to a time before,
when she had everything at hand.
She had the most exquisite dresses,
and was considered
the greatest beauty of the land.

She hadn’t been thankful, not even once.
She had only wanted more and more.
All her beauty and possessions, she deserved,
But she couldn’t know what was in store.

One day she awoke in her plush bed
and found her life was rearranged.
Her beautiful face and looks were gone,
as into a Mortog she had changed.

She had demanded for help
right then and there.
In utter desperation she had cried.
But those who had always served her well
only put her in the pond outside.

Now she longed for
what she had taken for granted:
to be a Zafara as she had been.
She didn’t care about riches or power.
She just wanted to be herself again.

Hope was fading fast as smoke
as the princess made one final wish.
In that moment, with her broken heart,
a hero stepped forth and provided the kiss.

She didn’t know how he knew,
but she was thankful he was there.
In that pond of muck and Mortogs
now stood a princess of regal air.

The servants fell to the ground,
fearful of what their princess might do.
They had all failed to help her out,
but Princess had been born anew.

Kinder now from days passed,
she was now a princess they could praise.
From princess, to Mortog, to princess again --
it was a lesson she remembered
for all of her days.

Standing side by side with her hero,
she became the greatest princess.
And to think it all started in a tiny pond
and with a single kiss.

The Picture Of Perseverance
by Flufflepuff

Beneath the crackling sun and earth,
A dormant beam of light
Awakened from its slumber (made
Of countless days and nights).

He saw his chance and took his place
Close to the great earth mound
And cried, “Come on, let’s dig this up!
Let’s see what we have found!”

By pointing, he encouraged all
And urged them on to dig.
The Zafara himself tackled
The wall of dirt so big.

His moaning shovel got no rest,
Nor did those of his friends.
Even so, he kept digging:
In his sight lay an end.

The obelisk was soon revealed,
With battles and with glory.
When the dust, at last, was calm,
One noticed his story.

The Oracle herself listened
While buried in the earth
And now floated to the Zafara,
For he first proved his worth.

A silent nod and an embrace
Were half of her reward.
The other half, she honored him:
Assured he wasn’t ignored.

To those who fought to seize her gifts,
She gave a replica
Of the one who rescued her
From sleep: the Zafara!

And there he stays, foregrounded in
Innumerable frames.
Forever pointing to direct
The focus from his fame.

Silently, he cries to those
Who gaze upon his face
To dig using their eyes and see
Beyond the picture’s surface.
