A Restocking Woe
by Kanpai

A determined Neopian sets forth
to restock an unbuyable tonight,
for obtaining an item of so much worth
will make the darkness bright.

A determined Neopian sets forth
to shop ID number two.
Home of the lovely Kauvara,
a shop-keeping Kau of starry blue.

A determined Neopian clicks,
refreshing once in a while.
The shop restocks a morphing potion!
That determined Neopian smiles.

A determined Neopian clicks,
getting to the haggle page.
Pink Draik Morphing Potion is SOLD OUT!
That determined Neopian's in rage.

A determined Neopian's story
is written now, you see.
This was my restocking woe,
that determined Neopian was me.

Ode To The Ghost Lupe
by Mangoandcherry

On sandy shores, in jungles deep,
a ghostly visage sometimes creeps,
a spectre grey with saddened eyes
who wanders far and wanders wide.
Some say his search is for love lost,
eternal drifting is the cost.
To find his bride he will ardently seek,
through the vines and shady creeks.
If through the morning mists you look
and see some ghostly Lupe afoot,
turn your head the other way and hope
he does not wish to stay,
for those who feel his phantom stare
are want to feel their soul laid bare.

The Stamp Collection
by Megandeangelo1

I once was at the Money Tree
with wonderful prospects in my sight.
I thought of map pieces, Neggs, and dubloons:
wonderful treasures I could take tonight.

But what I found was not that great.
Soggy boots, obsidian, a Grundo lamp,
forgotten fish, rejected sand
and, tucked behind, a Shenkuu stamp.

I was disappointed, to say the least.
I didn't even have a stamp collection!
But in defeat I turned and left,
me and my stamp, in my Neohome's direction.

The next day I was back again,
Hoping for better luck -- riches galore.
But what I found, behind the junk,
was a lonely stamp once more.

Why not, I thought. Might as well.
I'll add this stamp to my book.
And from then on,
for stamps I always looked.

In short, the Money Tree started it all.
I'm now a stamp collector,
through and through.
It's taken over my life, so I say to all...
be careful at the Money Tree
or this may happen to you!

Let Them Go
by Sugarcubes_on_fire

Here at Terror Mountain top,
Not a slushie to be seen.
A kingdom of snow and icicles,
And it looks like I'm the queen.
I give out my Snow Faerie quests
to few but worthy Neopets.
I need ingredients for my spells.

I let them in, I let them see
The goods they'll get if a quest they complete.
They say, "I will help you!" so off they go.
Let them go, let them go,
Come back in an hour or so.
Let them go, let them go!
I may give you a bonus.
I don't care what the other faeries say.
Terror Mountain's where I belong.
The cold never bothered me, anyway.

It's funny how some Neopets
Bring back nothing at all
And others fulfill my quest
In hardly any time at all.
I like to see what they can do,
To test their limits I request rare foods.
No boring quests I ever give to them.

Let them go, let them go,
The Neopets come back in time.
Let them go, let them go,
They never see me cry.
Here I wait for the ingredients.
I reward them well.
The cold never bothered me, anyway.

Ode To A Frightful Duo
by Martia_elior

There's a creepy creature living for good
In the deepest corner of the Haunted Wood.
He has big sharp claws, a dark blue fur,
and one eye only -- he looks ugly for sure!

Reximoz is his name and he roams around
Together with a little Babyca he once found;
He named it Flo, gifted it a nice green bow
And decided to train it for a silly comic show.

They're used to playing tricks,
But it's just for fun.
This frightful duo, in fact, cannot hurt anyone.
Their favourite place is the Fairground at night
When corners are dark and the light is slight.

The victims they prefer are silly conceited girls,
Shy babies, and elegant ladies
With perfect curls.
They like females mostly
Because of the screams
They are able to let out
Under the moonbeams.

The higher the squeal
That comes from their throats,
The higher the duo's
Close friends cast their votes
For the best prank they have managed to play
On the poor, scared Neopets
Fooled by them that day.

So, if you decide to visit
This spooky Fairground,
You can feel safe only
When you are homeward-bound.
Be prepared for any kind of trick even
If it's not Halloween, and if you can scream
The competition you'll, for sure, win!
