The Meepit's Revenge

Once there was a Meepit
Who wasn't very brave,
When it came to scary things,
He didn't know how to behave.

He didn't know how to use his eyes
To stare into your soul,
Or how to use his giant teeth
To chew a spooky hole.

His smile was full of innocence,
And this made him so sad,
Because the thing is, with Meepits,
They're supposed to be quite bad.

The other Meepits laughed at him
And called him silly names,
They wouldn't let him join their tricks
Or even play their games.

Until Halloween rolled around,
And he made a plan so full of win,
It made him clap his tiny hands
And give an evil grin.

He would scare the others,
No matter what it took,
With a prank so very terrible
They'd write it in a book!

He schemed and planned into the night
And hatched up something good,
Something oh-so-scary,
It nearly froze his blood!

And when the Meepit party
Was in full swing Halloween night,
He gently knocked upon their door,
Ready to give them quite a fright.

And when the door swung open,
The Meepits all stood still,
The music skipped and then turned off,
As everyone looked ill.

For, what they saw outside the door
Would have frightened even me,
Dressed in masks and looking mad
Stood all of TNT!

And, as the Meepits turned and fled
The cardboard TNT fell in a pile,
And the Meepit who had pranked his friends
Gave a wicked little smile...

Thoughts Of A Spardel

So cute,
With bulging eyes
And tongue sticking out...
I wonder what you think about?
If only we had some way
To pick your brain for a day.

With that wish,
A faerie passed by.
"I have been thinking about that, too.
Why don't we give it a try?"
Said the faerie that passed by.

And a pink puff of smoke,
It is as if the Spardel spoke
His thoughts.
I jotted them down...

I shall read them out loud:

Neopet!
Blue, green, and red...
Oh look, there is my bed!
I wonder if he is going to pick me?
Oh no, I can't see!
Oops, I just closed my eyes...
Hey, this Petpet just ate my fries.

How are you doing, wall?
You are very tall!
I wonder if I can...
Ahhh, a Mootix!
Look at it crawl.

The Terrors Of The Lab Ray

The lab is a dangerous place,
It scares the 'pets across the land.
They could have a cute, fluffy face
And then they could have a scaly hand.

I couldn't keep on a straight face
When my baby Ixi would stand
And, right when she started to brace,
It went not according to plan.

As the smoke had started to clear,
What I saw I couldn't believe:
Before my eyes there would appear
A mutant JubJub I could perceive.

I wasn't going to shed a tear,
Because the lesson I had received:
Don't you ever try to go near
A place you 'pets just want to leave.

Something Has Happened

Oh my, oh my. 
Will anyone believe it true?
This is a dream, it simply must be.
It's not quite full of clouds,
And I do not feel like floating,
But oh, there are all the berries I could ever eat
And enough toys to delight forever!
It's like a mountain rising to Kreludor
Of all my favourite things.
Is that a White Strochal?
It is my favourite food!
And is that a paint brush, too?
And it’s time for Halloween!

There are Neopoints raining everywhere,
And what's this? Dubloons as well!
I can't imagine all this wealth --
It's too much, surely, for just me?
Surely there’s enough to share
With all the others in Neopia, too?
I can collect a lot in my arms,
And yes! A Faerie Slingshot,
That is all that I should need.

I cannot promise I’ll be accurate
But I can try as best I can,
And glinting off a rainbow
I believe I’ll start right there
At the heart of Neopia Central.
The Money Tree can gain something;
At least a few of these amazing things,
And maybe others will walk right by,
So I might send them something, too.
A Random little present
That might show up with surprise
And land in their hands or in their bags,
And they can yell and I can smile as I hear,
“Oh! Wow! Look at that!
Would you believe what just happened?”

An Ode To The Server Change

With a crash and a bang 
In an explosive wave,
The server changes
And chaos reigns.
But slowly, slowly.
Order returns.
Accounts unlocked.
Bugs squished where they squirm.

Things in Neopia
Begin to return
To what they were like
Before things turned.

Over time, things settle down.
A Neoapocalypse thwarted,
Smiles come from frowns.

And everything returns to what it was like
Before Neopets moved house
And, for a while, switched off the lights.
A new day starts,
A new sun rises.
Kind of like a new millennium.

And everything starts to feel the same,
Until someone says, "Wait, what? 
Where's my Habitarium?"
