The Faerie Shoyru in the Lavender Fields

Past the outskirts of Faerieland is a haven
Most Neopets may not know: the rows
Of lavender fields reaching to the horizon
From a Faerie Shoyru tending their growth.

The fields used to be barren, empty lands
Before Faerieland then came crashing down.
While most Neopets stayed in Faerie City,
This Shoyru explored beyond its grounds.

And to the ground he went, spade and rake
In his hands, tilling the land with his tail.
Fluttering above the fields planting seeds—
The crash was devastating, but he’d prevail.

We can persevere by lifting others around us—
The amethyst dragon knew, as Shoyrus do,
The land and its inhabitants deserved that.
Petpets returned as the lavender plants grew.

Native and Faerie Snowbunnies frolicked, 
And the Buzzers has new sources of food.
In the wind’s breeze, the Shoyru thought,
The field turned into a sea with purple hue.

We can all learn from the Shoyru’s plight—
When times are tough and places wrong,
Some hard work with what we can control
Can yield flower fields where they belong.

Flying the Shoyru Way

Sally the Shoyru loves to fly through the air,
She soars above the trees and has no cares.
Today is the day, better than all the rest,
That everyone realizes Shoyrus are the best.

She likes to meet up with all of her friends,
And fly all the way until the day ends.
They go through forests and over the sea,
And love the feeling that they're free.

Nobody can reach you when you're up so high,
Sally couldn't imagine not being able to fly.
So the next time you want something new to do,
Just ask Sally to take you around a town or two.

What can I spy,
High up in the sky?
Soaring in the air, 
Having not a care!
The wings flap in delight,
Nothing’s like a Shoyru in flight!
But please be forewarned, 
For flight is taught after their born.
Every Shoyru in the sky above,
Must believe in their heart, the power of love.
Believe in their heart that flight is earned.
Take in their hearts the lessons to learn.
Remember to be kind no matter with who.
Be kind and brave in whatever you do.
Take to the wind and you can soar,
As long as your heart knows what it’s for.
The key to flight isn’t in their wings,
It’s power of love above all things.
So fly with your heart and you’ll be alright.
Because the heart of a Shoyru is the key to flight!

Barry the Baby Shoyru

In the middle of the night,
Awoken from an angry clack,
Alarmed wings struggled to take flight,
Barry was worried and taken aback. 

The naive Shoyru's eyes widened,
As his marbles took on a look so vicious,
With plans to take over more than Roo Island,
You would think this event was purely fictitious.

With his yellow and blue spotted baby robe,
A teary-eyed Barry tugs at your sleeve,
"Please help me before they conquer the globe!"
Using arrows and shields, you set to achieve.

The toys eventually get returned to his toy box,
Which Barry is super delighted to see,
The fiery little creature shouts, "You rock!"
A friend for life is what is returned to thee.

My Shoyru Barista!

I wake up in the morning
And have one thing on my mind
I seek out the coffee shopkeeper
She is friendly and oh so kind.

You see she has the elixir
That I crave above them all
It's my first cup of the morning
And I like it hot and sweet and tall.

There is so much on the menu
227 items to date
But I am a creature of habit
I grab my latte so I won't be late.

You see my sweet little Shoyru
Is busy making the drinks
She has no name and never talks
So I don't know what she thinks.

But it really is irrelevant
She gets me what I long for
I'm out the door and off to work
My Shoyru is all I adore!!

A Shoyru's Day in Maraqua

Kelby took one big breath and dove,
Deeper than any of his Jubjub friends,
His flippers pinned close to his side,
Keeping his head straight, tail unbent,
Before slowing down to a glide.

He decided to stop by Kelp Restaurant,
See what’s on their menu today,
Will it be Maraquan Cream Broth before a Luxurious Vegetarian Star Pie?
Or Pate A La Kelp finished with Coral Cake?
Regardless, he’ll have a Seaweed Surprise.

With his belly full and appetite satisfied,
The Shoyru thought he’d buy his mother a lovely gift,
So he popped over to Collectable Sea Shells.
Something immediately caught his eye – Bangles of the Deep!
How it sparkled and put him under a spell.

On the way back home Kelby passed by the Ruins,
And thought, why not, I’ll try my hand at underwater fishing.
Ye Olde Fishing Vortex was not very crowded,
Surely today he’ll be able to catch something,
Maybe a nice fish to make some soup or chowder?

Unfortunately for Kelby, all he managed to get,
Was an Old Rotten Right Boot.
At least that’s better than a Diseased Mechafish…
Or a useless piece of Rotting Driftwood!
Nevermind, tonight he’ll just eat fruit!

The best Holiday: Shoyru Day!

After a holiday of mischief itself?
It’s the amazing neopet the Shoyru I reckon!
Of course it’s the best, don’t kid yourself.

Shoyrus zoom through the air
At such a breakneck speed.
They don’t have a care in the word
Just like me!

The celebration requires many foods
Like a Black Currant Shoyru Sweet.
Ignore those who carry bad attitudes
About the flavour of this treat.

Maybe adopt your own Shoyru
And paint it different colours!
Or maybe just keep him blue
For all of you classic colour lovers.

Whatever you do, just celebrate
For it is the day for such things
Because Shoyru Day is one of the best to date,
If you don’t get hit by their soaring wings.

Once upon a time a blue Kadoaty
Was driving everybody around it batty
Its whining and crying was a nerve-stealer
But then came along a Shoyru called Meela.

Left on a doorstep with a threatening note

The Kadoaty's depression needed a healer

It demanded a night light, lots to eat,
No cuddles or touching but plenty of treats

With constant complaints and dissatisfaction
It can be very hard to show some compassion
But one Neopet was empathic and eager

One dark night the small feline got out
And ran far away, howling, no doubt
But she would not let the creature leave her

So now they live in their house of wailing
And it may not always be smooth-sailing
