Lutari Day Special

A Lethargic Lutari
by heartswold

Lethargic by a lazy stream
a young Lutari hears the scream
of a Pawkeet perched upon a tree
and thinks, “how wondrous it must be
to stretch your wings and soar the skies!”
And, for a moment, shuts her eyes…

POOF! She scrambles to her feet
there stands Fyora, smiling sweet
“If you can bring me certain things,
I’d bless you with some lovely wings!”
The young Lutari rushes to task
and brings the faerie all she asks
In no time flat completes her quest
and lo, behold, she has been blessed
She blasts off with a powerful kick
And leaves behind her hometown quick
from lazy streams and clouds of grey
she couldn’t fly fast enough away

Look out! She dodges past a spear
The sounds of battles drawing near
a skirmish by the obelisk!
The young Lutari takes a risk
and flies into the flurried fray
Seeker, Order, Thief, and Sway!
Beat after powerful wingbeat
she dodges like an athlete
until at last the battle’s won
but young Lutari’s not quite done

She joins an ol’ swashbuckling crew
and sets off on adventures new
for fortunes from forgotten shores
she wants some more, and more, and more
till Krawken comes and takes the ship
shuts down her course, cuts short her trip
Her salt-soaked wings cannot take off
She waits to dry upon a wharf
She sees the stillness of the sea
and a Pawkeet lands on a nearby tree
And despite the screams of Pawkeet’s squawks
she dozes there upon those docks…

GASP! the young Lutari wakes
as lethargy once more overtakes
this land-locked lass by a lazy stream
Alas… it had all been just a dream.

Morning Swim of the Lutari
by hottakes

She dove beneath the cloudy blue;
paws grazed the bed of stone,
scattering early morning hues,
marbled pinks, gleamed and shone.

Flowers were tangled at the shore,
weeds knotted in-between;
she rose from the great river's roar,
to awakening green.

She reached above to touch the rays,
that warmed her now damp fur;
she strode into the blooming day,
unfolding before her.

The Elusive Luck of the Lutari
by aurora_99

The elusive Luck of the Lutari

Each of us stare at the colourful,
dreamcatcher in their hands,
We search in the dimly lit shops,
and sift the golden sands,

Lutari Island is shrouded,
with a cold, unusual fog,
They say it rises in the air,
from a bubbling magical bog!

This dreamcatcher is made from,
the branches of mangrove tree,
it's properties get awakened,
when the beads are inserted by me.

The mangrove stands deeply grounded,
in the bog which creates the storms,
there are many colourful beads,
of various shapes and forms.

The beads are found at the centre,
of the bog which bubbles smoke,
Djutis who nest in the mangroves,
find that when they poke,

around for fruits, and nuts,
they tend to pick the shiny beads,
yellow, blue, red and green,
they look like colourful seeds.

the Djutis fly quite often,
to the open ocean shore,
if you are lucky, you may find,
a bead on the ocean floor.

don't count on it, say Neopians,
the beads are so rare to find!
You may need to go to mystery island,
to trade for them in cash or kind.

The luck of the dreamcatcher is subtle,
You may get more than your share,
it may make you strangely attractive,
to shopkeepers, discounting their wares,

It's the day of the Lutari today,
and Djutis abound the shore,
What's that in the shallow pool?
ahhhh a red bead, are there any more ??

The Brilliant Lutari
by mewemy

Something has happened, what could it be
A random event has appeared for me
Rainfall of Mortogs, stats, a new potion
The excitement is bringing on so much emotion

Dr. Landelbrot is the Lutari behind the surprise
He operates the machine that gives your prize
This old Lutari has been around a thousand years
Originally from Moltara, working the gears

An inventor of the random event machine
You might get something awful or your dream
He is a thousand years old here from the start
Very serious and clearly quite smart

So aboard his spaceship and give him a hand
Push the buttons and see where you land
Random events are important to everyone
So let’s give Landelbrot our thanks for the fun

Letter to New Lutari
by outlander_

Dear Lutari,

First off:
Welcome home!
I am excited that our owner,
Will be bringing you home.

Our owner told me,
That Lutaris are fun,
That you enjoy swimming,
And bathing in the sun.

That going off on an adventure,
Is your idea of a good time,
So where shall we go off to?
Maybe down in a Moltara mine?

Our owner also told me,
That after a long day,
That Lutaris will curl up,
And fall asleep right away.

To make this letter short and sweet,
I cannot wait for us to meet,
So here is to our very first day,
Of being family,
On your special day.

Dream of Lutari Island
by bannook

I had a dream,
That I went through the mist,
To that mysterious island,
That is always adrift.

Lutari Island,
Colour all around,
Feathers of every colour,
Could be found.

The Lutaris there,
Greeted me with cheer,
"We haven't had a newcomer all year!".

We then paraded,
Up and down the sand,
We even started up an improve band.

The friendly Lutaris then showed me around,
Each sight a wonder to be found:
Sparkling pools,
Unique growing trees,
That grew from rocks with ease.

I soon woke up,
My heart sunk,
Lutari Island was only a dream,
But as I got up from my bed,
There was a glorious feather,
A bright hue of red.

Was it all just a dream?
I couldn't tell,
But one day I will go to that swell,
And be there in person,
On that mysterious shore,
Of Lutari Island,
You,
I adore.

Lazy Lutari
by fewbonescanburn

Down the river, past the banks,
In a really messy cave,
Sighed a sleepy Lutari,
His pillow was his fave.

"All this stuff to clean," he moaned,
"How will I find a way
To get off my lazy flippers and clean
This mess by Lutari Day?"

Suddenly, the bank shook!
Poor Lutari spun to the side,
And in that chaotic minute,
His pillow found a place to hide!

"Oh no!" the Lutari cried,
"My sweetheart's gone amiss!
If only I'd cleaned in time-
I need to finish this."

The Lutari put his brave face on
And picked out the long shell rakes,
He tidied, mopped, and was surprised-
How little time cleaning takes!

"All things belong in a certain place,
and should go back there," he said,
"And you, my dear pillow,
belong under my head!"

Mr. Chipper's Ice Cream Cart
by a_ramsell

On this Lutari Day please consider
Paying a visit to Mr. Chipper
This Lutari is friendly and kind;
A happier Lutari would be hard to find.

You can find Mr. Chipper in Happy Valley,
Where he’ll serve up some ice cream gladly.
But only if you have the right coupon;
Otherwise you may not get the cheeriest response.

There's delicious ice cream and sorbet;
These tasty ice creams will brighten your day.
If you want something unique to savour,
There’s even an unusual fish flavour.

Some may find it rather odd
That he’s selling ice cream out in the cold.
But residents of Happy Valley know
It’s more fun to eat ice cream in the snow.

And that, my friends, is why you should pay
Mr. Chipper a visit for Lutari Day.
He’ll greet you gladly, with a smile
That’ll make the trek to Happy Valley worthwhile.

Lutari Fizz, A Bubbly Brew
by _brainchild_

Lutari Fizz, the drink of choice
For all Lutaris, will
Cause all consumers to rejoice
Once they have had their fill.

A myriad of flavours swirl
Within the bubbling brew.
The orange, the lime, and others whirl
Within the glass so blue.

The carbonation pleases tongues
Of all who try the drink.
As bubbles burst, my heart has sung!
Of happiness I think.

So, if you need a yummy treat,
Which really packs a punch,
Lutari Fizz is hard to beat!
Please try it with your lunch.

The Isle of Mist
by bobajfett

I have a little potion
And I don't know what to do
If I choose to use this concoction
I'm afraid of what it will do.

You see I would become a Lutari
But is that what I want to be?
Stealthy would be my new color
My new visage for all to see.

I would have to pack and move all my stuff
To an island shrouded in mist
I would not be alone, others are there
By my old friends I'll surely be missed.

And so that is my major dilemma
That I have pondered over so long
But I am a very great swimmer
And I look smashing in a sarong.

I think I have finally decided
To become a brand new me
So head on over to the Isle of Mist
And please say hello to me!
