On winter nights snow falls down
Whirling in the air
'til it reaches the ground
On winter nights
Silence is peace
And warmth inside
Is easy to reach
On a winter night
We watched in all its glory
And now, I whispered to my pet
The night grows still
And for you and me
Bed time awaits and you will see
That tomorrow another night will come
And snow will fall again
For on winter nights
Out imaginations can take flight

The Beggar By gambit_the_cheat

In the dreary darkness
Of the bleak December night,
A lone beggar roams,
With a heavy sigh, he fought the icy winds,
And continued walking through the thick snow.
He felt unwanted, hungry and poor,
His wife had passed away
And his children had left him.
Oh where thy his shadow roam with no body?
Oh where thy his spirit go with no soul?
He slept around corners,
Shivering throughout the cold nights,
With only an old rag as a companion.
No one wanted him,
No one pitied him.
Oh where thy his lonesome shadow go?
Oh where thy his heart go with no soul?
As the days passed,
He grew older and older.
He weakly smiled at passers-by,
Who in turn sneered at him.
Even though,
They did not have a heart of gold,
He never blamed them for what they did.
Soon,
His misery ended,
As he sadly closed his tear-filled eyes,
Never to be awakened.

The Reflection Pond By moor_horse

Up on an undiscovered mountain
In the very depths of a deep dark wood
Lies a secluded reflection pond
Where all the uni's have stood
They stand by the side of the pond
The pond that's green with reflection
The pond that only unis can see
The pond of no other's detection
As these unis stand by their pond
Gazing into the pond's hidden message
The message that only that uni can see
They read the pond's unique presage
A presage that tells them of dangers to come
Or what wonderful things will happen
And when the pond thinks their message is done
It ripples back to it's leafy reflection
My pet uni has told me this
But she will not go into detail
But I do not want to learn uni secrets...
The uni, the peophin without the wondrous seatail.

An Ode to Maraqua By iwannabeapastor

As I went for a stroll one day,
I saw a gentle tiny face
Peering at me from beneath the sea,
In some hidden little place.
I searched endlessly to find a way,
To get beneath this sea,
And hug that little creature,
With it's soft face full of glee.
I dove into the sparkling water,
And swam towards the light.
Until I saw that little face
Glowing with sheer delight.
"Welcome to a new world"
He said with a joyous melody
"Come explore all the wonders,
And stay here today with me."
We walked through woods of red,
And danced in fields of blue,
He showed me all the beauties,
Of the city of silver hues.
As the day came to an end,
I returned from the sea,
Back into the normal world,
My friend along with me.
"You are always welcome,
Maraqua is always bright,
Just look for me beneath the sea,
And follow the joyful light."
