KACHEEK DAY SPECIAL

Samrin the Kacheek
By Peppermintpaste

The bounty hunter Balthazar
Lies hidden in the trees
He eyes the Petpets from afar
Hungry for what he sees

The Angelpi and Noils play
Laughing with delight
While Doglefox and Babaas stray
My, what a pretty sight!

A low, menacing snarl is heard,
Balthazar pounces out
He quickly runs after the herd
While Petpets scream and shout

Quite suddenly, a flash of blue
Is seen in a flicker
Snatching away the Babaa who
Would have become dinner

Samrin, after safely placing
The Babaa in the pen
Rescues a Noil cowering
Saving the day again!

The Lupe, defeated, slinks away
While the blue Kacheek cries:
"Bounty hunter, at least today,
You'll take no Petpets' lives!"

The Invisible Kacheek
By Bbgirl4eva

Being an invisible Kacheek
Has its ups and downs
I love going into the Battledome
Where I see my opponents roam
They also cannot seem to find me
So I give them a blast of my smoke screen
I also like to play Hide and Seek with my owner
And I always end up beating her
She never seems to find me
Even when I'm right beside her knee

But then being invisible isn't so great
And sometimes I'm not so sure if it was my fate
People never seem to notice me
And one time, by mistake,
My owner splashed me with hot tea
She always tries to cheer me up
By saying that I'm the best
But I always wonder if she will
Ever take me to the Beauty Contest?

Albert the Kacheek
By Kellisan

Let me tell you
The story of Albert the Kacheek.
Once sweet and spotted
And more than a little meek.

One day he decided to open a gardening shop
In the Haunted Woods, his big dream!
But he stepped too close to the Esophagor
Whom everyone knows is quite mean!

The Esophagor grabbed poor Alby
And changed him to
A mutant Kacheek in the gloom.
"Bbrriinngg mmee ffoooodd, Aallbberrtt,
Oorr iitt wwiillll ssppelll yyoouurr ddooomm!"

And poor Albert must bring
Exactly what the Esophagor is craving.
For if our little Kacheek fails,
The Esophagor really starts raving!

Why does Albert stick around
Living in the Graveyard of Doom,
When he could run away elsewhere
Gardening where there's lots of room?

He keeps hoping with each completed quest,
The Esophagor will hear him out
And make him a spotted Kacheek again.
But each day he has more doubt.

Please think of poor Albert
And wish for him a happy end.
Let him have warm, sunny days again
And not remain the Esophagor's only friend!

Lightfeet the Larcenist
By Nukerjsr

Brista Lightfeet is a really good Kacheek
At stealing and the mastery of sneak
She goes in the night to unlocked homes
Snatching food, toys, and many gnomes

Very smart, she leaves no path or trail
Making all Neopians really frail and pail
Slyer than the Pant Devil and Shadow Usul
And taking everything till her sack is full

During the cold of night, look for a shadow
Also set up traps to keep from much woe
She'll go for anything and many treasures
Look out or she might take what's yours

Protect everything, especially your rag doll
She'll look for that doll all through nightfall
Making her moves till the sun hits up
And then she's finished with her hold-up

People wonder where is all their stuff
All of their losses are tough and rough
So lock your doors, windows, and den
For Brista might strike at your house again!

Oh, the Woes of Being a Mutated Kacheek
By Erika_idle

Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.
I have a face that absolutly no-one would seek.
My brain is too large and so are my feet.
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

A day in the life of a mutated Kacheek:
I open the window and take a peek,
At the sun that is shining so bright and so bleak.
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

I scowl at the sun so bright with heat,
And get out of bed to face a new week.
I walk out the door and into the street.
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

As I am sauntering down the Neopian street,
A red Lenny scowls at me and turns up his beak,
And behind her mother a young Usul peeks.
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

Passers-by stare or give me the cheek,
As I move my feet to the beat of the street.
I hear the young Usul cry out, "EEK!"
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

You think these attitudes make me feel meek?
A nothing, a nobody, just a lone geek.
With no chances, no nothing, a future so bleak.
Oh, the woes of being a mutated Kacheek.

The truth of the matter is,
If that's what you seek,
It's not that bad being a mutated Kacheek.
I've learned to cope
With the stares, glares and peeks.
Oh, the joys of being a mutated Kacheek!

People take one glance at my face and shriek.
My appearance is not a reason
To shun or to freak!
Whether faerie or rainbow or mutant (like me!)
Oh, just be proud and content
With your little Kacheek.

For mutated Kacheeks may look ugly and meek,
Our brains are too large and so are our feet.
But inside we're beautiful
For our hearts are so big.
Oh, the joys of being a unique Kacheek!
