EYRIE DAY SPECIAL

Beautiful Branston
by Honeybee54321

Branston is most familiar
As the second opponent in Cheat!,
But all who have played against him
Know he's easy to beat.

Branston's temper may be short
And he's known to lose his cool.
When he's caught cheating,
He acts quite like a fool.

But get him on the dance floor
And a different Eyrie you will see,
Dancing, playing, and laughing
Is where he should always be.

Handsome is how Branston
Would describe himself at best;
Front page of the Beauty Contest,
Sporting lots of zest!

He's kind but also caring,
And will stick with you till the end.
A reason why Eyries
Can make the best of friends!

My Blazing Winged Eyrie Guitar
by Sugarypixiestix2

When I first started up my band,
I knew it'd be amazingly grand.
There was only one thing missing,
which made me feel like hissing.

A guitar that could rock n' roll,
it had to have this in its soul.
Not all guitars had this in them,
We needed a musically-unique gem.

So, I searched Neopia high and low,
until I'd found one that was aglow.
Its title was Winged Eyrie Guitar,
and it would soon make me a star.

Branston the Eyrie was selling it,
since his band had chose to split.
The guitar was stunningly perfect,
and as I played it I felt respect.

So, I bought it without any regret,
even though it did put me in debt.
This guitar's music was glorious,
which made my band feel victorious.

Each time I pluck its blue strings,
the whole crowd gets up and sings.
Our band never knew fame until now,
and we always give my guitar a bow.

Eerie Eyrieki
by Dr_tomoe

Eerie Eyrieki, he
Comes from ancient times,
An Eyrie from the desert
Who's tomb is free to find.

Eerie Eyrieki, he
Didn't rest in peace,
His spirit was disturbed
And now goes and causes grief.

Eerie Eyrieki, his
Lost tomb was uncovered,
But this was one mummy that
Archaeology should have let slumber.

Eerie Eyrieki, he
Proceeded to wreak havoc
On the desert and on
The city of Sakhmet.

Eerie Eyrieki, he
Had to be defeated,
So the defenders came and
A battle was initiated.

Eerie Eyrieki, he
Didn't stand a chance,
Lightning Lenny came
And beat him lightning fast.

A Sketch Eyrie Day
by Chavo_guerrero

Once upon a time there lived
A doodle on a page,
Hoping, from the paper,
He could one day disengage.

A few dark lines drawn here and there
Soon took on a shape,
But still, from on the paper,
He could not manage to escape.

A hint of blue, a touch of shade,
But still just roughly drawn,
With addition of some features
A sketch Eyrie was fast born.

He gently lifted a foot to see
If, to the sheet, he was still bound,
But his heart was filled with joy at last,
For he could finally move around.

He stretched his neck and flapped his wings,
And whipped his tail about,
He was such a happy little Eyrie,
Of that there was no doubt.

So, if you like the Eyrie
And you want one of your own,
If you'd be a perfect owner
And give a loving home,

Why not pick up a pencil
And give a sketch a shot?
Concentrate on drawing,
And give it all you've got?

And you could bring to life today
An Eyrie with a sketch,
Just take your time to draw him
And don't rush the final etch.

He'll come to life on paper
And give a cheer hooray!
A wonderful sketch Eyrie,
On this magic Eyrie Day!

Thyora The Eyrie
by Indulgences

Thyora's Tear is famous.
Her older brother Ponfrie died
When Skeith marauders looted their home.
She sobbed. She wanted to die.

A water faerie brushed a single tear
From poor Thyora's cheek and held it,
Suspended, upside down
On the tip of her finger.
It started to glow.

As it began to fall, it shimmered
Ever brighter and brighter.
Then it grew hard, like a diamond.
It sparkled and shone.

As soon as it dropped, a chain
Materialized on the tear
And wrapped itself around
The water faerie's wrist.

The faerie draped the necklace
Around Thyora's neck.
Thyora would never know harm ever again.
The power of Thyora's Tear
Would be legendary.

So, to all you Battledomers
Who own this marvelous Battledome item,
Guard it with care, and keep in mind
How much Thyora loved
Her older brother Ponfrie.

Thyora's Tear
by Comawhite333

Stricken by grief
That is more than she can bear,
She collapses by a river,
Broken in despair.

Her tears could overfill these waters
And flood all of the lands,
For her protector is gone,
Her sorrow now commands.

A water faerie swimming nearby
Hears Thyora's mournful cries,
She listens patiently to the Eyrie's tale,
And gazing upon this proud creature,
Now weak, senses frail...
She takes out a glass vial,
Capturing her tear.

"It will be okay, Thyora."
The faerie softly speaks,
"This tear will now protect you
And all who are weak.
Through grief and sorrow
We find where our true powers lie,
Now be strong, Thyora,
And dry your eyes."

Thyora found her strength that day,
And you can, too.
Just remember this brave Eyrie's tale
The next time you're blue.

The Darigan Eyrie Stamp
by Geneames1

One sits above, one sits below,
another one beside.
Twenty five there are in all,
but I hold place of pride.

I'm not the most expensive,
I boast no complex art,
yet without me the set's not done,
I play a vital part.

Stamp collectors covet me,
I have fans of every age,
when they put me in their books
I help complete the page.

Meridell vs. Darigan,
that is where you'll see,
third row down, far on the right,
the Darigan Eyrie -- me!

Lord Kass's Lament
by Treeword

I heard them say it was quite fun,
this new game the others played,
but when I inquired of my fellows
they all seemed quite afraid.

They shook their heads,
exchanging a nervous glance,
but I flapped my Eyrie wings and
took my best aggressive stance.

So, finally they led me out onto a field,
toward a nearby willow tree,
perched upon the highest branch
sat a fluffy purple replica of me.

The thing was tossed into the air,
and toward another Eyrie, who
hit it with a bat and sent it
soaring into the sky of blue.

I shrugged it off as only a joke,
told myself it was just a doll,
and tried to hide the fact
that this game did hurt, after all.

Branston Day
by Freddiefroggie8

There’s an Eyrie named Branston
And, just ask him, he’s the man.
He struts around, head held high,
There’s no reason to wonder why.

He is the finest and greatest of all,
And just ask him, give him a call,
The fabulous Eyrie himself is here to please,
He’ll tell you, he’s the bee’s knees.

Gold medallion wrapped on his neck
Just to keep everyone in check,
You should realize this is Branston’s show,
He runs it, don’t mess up his flow.

No need to search for this Eyrie
Because everyone knows where he’ll be,
You can find him
Wheeling and dealing at Cheat!
Or under the disco ball, dancing to the beat.

Branston is the king of the dance floor,
You’d know it if you’ve seen him before,
And just ask him, he knows he’s the best,
Eyrie Day is really about him, not all the rest!

Playing Against Deadeye
by Lilahne_aluoki

So, you thought you'd give Bilge Dice a try?
Better kiss your Neopoints goodbye!
Sure, Grimtooth and Monty
Are both wily players,
But it's against Deadeye
You'd best say your prayers.
Yeah, Deadeye the Eyrie; he'll make you cry
With his wit sharply savvy
And his smile too wry.
This pirate Eyrie that's never set out to sea,
Because a deft gambler he'd much rather be.
So, when into the current round
Of Bilge Dice you buy,
Never take your attention
Off of tricksy Deadeye!

Deadeye's been known
To use switched, loaded dice,
Though his uncanny skills alone should suffice.
He can roll four sixes right out the door;
He rarely ever struggles to reach twenty-four!
If you were wiser than me,
You'd heed my advice:
Playing against Deadeye is not worth the price!
But you're called by the lure of the two avatars
That can be won by playing,
But you'll find they are
Elusive at best. I'll be quite concise;
Deadeye plays to win,
And he doesn't play nice!

You've now played for hours
Trying for a Lucky Streak,
While Deadeye just gives
A sharp clack of his beak.
You can roll fours, and sometimes a one,
But not in the same game,
That's not how it's done!
When Deadeye gives a humble critique
Of your playing style;
While your interest is piqued
He'll reach over and give
Your dice a small nudge...
For who here at the table will judge
A wee bit of cheating. Fair play's for the weak.
If you want that avie,
Best improve your technique!

In front of him Deadeye's got all your NPs,
And for the first time you feel
A shiver of unease.
He's not nearly as friendly,
Now that you're broke,
And he wants to give your place
To some other bloke.
"Unless you'd like to bet stocks,"
Deadeye does tease,
And you hope he doesn't notice
The shaking of your knees.
As you flee Bilge Dice,
Your lesson well learned...
But what does Deadeye do
With all the wealth he has "earned"?
He's a gambler, it's true,
And quick as you please,
At Food Club he loses all of his ill-gotten NPs!
