Today we are all very excited, 
To celebrate a special pet. 
Having fun and cheering, 
Until we see the beautiful sunset. 

The Tuskaninnys` are an aquatic species, 
Meaning they love to play in the sea. 
Gliding through the water, 
With happiness and glee. 

They are very friendly, 
And will never leave another Neopet behind. 
They are always polite, 
Never will you hear a Tuskaninny be unkind. 

So, on this memorable day, 
We thank the Tuskaninnys from all across the land. 
You are our favourite Neopet. 
A big celebration we have planned!

The Slushie Slinger Waitress

The exhausted Tuskaninny waitress
Slowly removes her apron.
The times has come where she need not
Wait on another patron.

She loves her job; she really does,
But those customers can be trying.
If they don't get their slushies FAST,
They act as if they're dying.

She smiles a little and shakes her head,
As she thinks of those impatient fans,
And recalls how she enjoys the challenge
Of slinging slushies to their outstretched hands.

She wipes down the sticky counters,
Then mops the grimy floor.
She flicks off the light switch,
Then closes and locks the door.

The Cup has yet to officially wrap up,
As it's not been announced who's won,
But as for the slushie slinging waitress,
Well, her job this year is done.

Not a Very Good Pirate

Looking over the calm water holding onto a rope, 
hanging down from the mast, 
the horizon,
the land, 
drawing closer and closer, 
and with it, his time at sea, on this ship, with his brothers, 
was drawing to a close. 

See, he was not a very good pirate. 

When it came time to plunder towns and other ships,
he hesitated. 
To make another walk the plank, 
he refused. 
He slept in too late, he went to bed too early, and he ate 
and ate 
and ate. 

He was not a very good pirate. 

The ship pulled against the docks in Krawk Island, 
And his pirate buddies patted him on the back, 
wishing him well, 
but also wishing him away. 
He was ruining their livelihood. 
He moved off the ship and onto the creaky dock. 

He was no longer a pirate. 
However, he knew what he excelled at. 

The Tuskaninny slid into the wharf, 
past the shops,
and into the big building. 
The sign was hanging by one nail, and the words hastily painted
FOOD CLUB

There, he slept in late, and went to bed early. 
And ate, 
and ate, 
and ate, 
and was cheered and celebrated for it. 

Fairfax the Deckhand wasn't a very good pirate, oh no, 
But he was a top 20 member of the Food Club.

Tuskaninnys are for everyone

A Tuskaninny is smarter than they look
They are great learners and like to read a book
They're obiously great swimmers, both in a lake or brook
Their brightness do make sure that they never bite a hook

Tuskaninnys are very cute, and loves to joke and play
They are also very helpful, and seldom will say "Nay"
They can be painted in colours from the Rainbow to Grey
The place they really thrive is at the dock or bay

Dancing with the Tuskaninnys will help you find your groove
Tuskaninnys are clearly awesome, they have nothing left to prove

I can live on land and at sea,
I'm no other than the Tuskaninny.
July 12th happens once a year,
Our day is today and it finally appeared!

We'll lay out with you and soak up the sun,
We as a species know how to have fun.
Or if you'd like to snuggle up indoors,
We love that too so the choice is all yours!

I heard that we may get a new Plushie,
I'm just excited we're celebrating with Slushies.
Did you know that's our favorite food?
Or that we love our coffee cold brewed?

Not many people are fans of Tusks,
I try not to make it a big fuss.
There's so many of us up for adoption,
I hope with today you make it an option.

Timid Little Timmy - A Tuskaninny's Lament

Arranged in a careful mohawk.
Black shirt slashed haphazardly
In a futile attempt at looking tough.

Little Timmy doesn't belong. 

Sitting at the card table,
Stone gazes coldly assess his visage. 
Nothing but a young Tuskaninny,
A chump. A weakling. 

Little Timmy doesn't belong. 

Knuckles crack, cards shuffle, 
Time to get down to business. 
Timmy scrambles to remember tidbits, 
Tools of the trade. 

Little Timmy doesn't belong. 

Poker face in position, 
Cards held close to coats, 
Sweat drags turquoise streaks down Timmy's face,
Remnants of Timmy's war paint. 

Little Timmy doesn't belong. 

Cards laid, 
Cards played, 
CHEAT, CHEAT, CHEAT!
Princess Fernypoo drops in her tracks. 

Does Little Timmy belong? 

One by one, 
Players drop like an impromptu game
Of 52-pickup. 
The sly few stand firm. 

Does Little Timmy belong? 

Hard-fought battle, 
Game of craft, wits, strength, 
Coveted gold trophy slid into unbelieving hands,
Little Timmy the Victor!

Does Little Timmy belong? 

Pats on the back,
Playful punches on the shoulder, 
Rhythmic claps of praise, 
All for one timid, tiny tuskaninny. 

No doubt about it now - Little Timmy belongs!

Tuskaninny Day - Slushie Slinger!

Hooray, hooray, it's tuskaninny day!
And I finally have some free time to play
Through the Altador Cup
I've been filling cups up
For each slushie drinker who comes my way

I've been slinging slushies from the beginning
Filling up cups, capping them, and spinning
To sling slushies down
To fans wearing frowns
Even though I'm always speedy and grinning

Zeenana, chokato, and jumbleberry
Three distinct flavors, but equally merry
So get one filled up
The next Altador Cup
Enjoy it fully, for June's temporary!

A Belated Ode To Tuskaninnies

This Tuskaninny's face is fiendish cute
He's furry, with a mane, and long of tooth
In colors ranging all the shades of brown
Tyrannia's the place you'll find him 'round

Another Tuskaninny, smaller still
She loves to eat sweets 'til she's had her fill
She's Baby blue with a red button nose
The tiny Tusk as lovely as a rose

And how about the massive Mutant Tusk?
He has a vicious odor, quite a musk
With heavy blubber and the sweetest smile
You ought to plug your nose and stay awhile

The Spotted Tuskaninny is a star
Her face is on a secret avatar
Inspiring folks to go adopt a Tusk
She's signing autographs from dawn to dusk

A further Tuskaninny you may find
Is long-deceased and brains are on his mind
The Haunted Woods are where he makes his home
But near and far you'll see the Zombie roam

And even though their special day has passed
'Til next year, if you ever chance to ask
My favorite pet, and which I love the best
I'll tell you Tuskaninnies top the rest
