EYRIE DAY SPECIAL

The Eyrie Cake
By Was_it_you

Allanah the Eyrie felt very excited.
To the Eyrie Day festival she was invited.
Early that morning she started to bake
A wonderful sugary Eyrie Day cake.
She found a good recipe inside a book.
It was simple to make,
And how good it would look!
She took out a bowl, and put in the sugar
(Adding some more so the cake would be bigger)
She put in the eggs with a slippery squish.
To add to the flavour she put in some fish.

She mixed in some honey,
And grated some cheese.
From her pet Doglefox she sprinkled some fleas.
The recipe said that you needed some soda.
She thought for a moment and added Neocola.
She stirred it around (the smell made her cough)
The mixture was topped with a layer of froth.
The last thing she added was a cup of flour.
Then she put it in the oven for half an hour.
From the oven came gurgling sounds.
The oven began to wobble around.
She soon gave up and took the cake out.
When she saw the mess, she started to shout.

But there was no time to start the cake again,
Because the Eyrie Day festival had just began.
She carried the "cake" to the party anyway,
And waited to see what the others would say.
Her best friend, she tried it
And pulled an odd face.
The flavour was awful - the cake a discrace.
"You're such a bad cook," she said with a cough.
"The flavour would be great,
But the flour's gone off!"

Chillin' Cheat!er
By Nukerjsr

He's been around dancing for thousands
While sliding and adjusting his medallion
This suave, pretty Eyrie excels at Cheat!
And doing a nice moonwalk with his feet

Branston also has a legendary mug
It is a nice trademark when cutting the rug
He might be a bit of a novice Cheat! player
But when he dances he is a carpet slayer

In his game he beats only a bit of people
Then, in other games he is unbelieveable
Other than playing his two favorite things
He fixes his home so it looks like it swings

He is the world's best multitasker in games
In everything he does he never has shame
Even if he isn't the best Cheat!er on the brim
Fernypoo still never has got nothing on him

Eyrie Screech
By Mileena_Z

In the heart of the forests of Meridell,
An evil Eyrie once lived and dwelt.
Each night at dusk, it set aloft to fly,
Instilling terror into those it passed by.
With screeches and caws, it'd frighten and scare,
The wretched souls caught unawares.

A challenge, for no less
Than the bravest of knights,
Was declared by King Skarl to test their might.
A thousand sacks filled with coins of bright gold,
To the warrior who freed his tormented fold!
A score of noble knights
Came from near and afar,
With experience displayed by old battle scars.

Yet within this Eyrie
There lied a power unforeseen,
A malevolent, piercing, and paralyzing scream.
When this wicked cry fell upon mortal ears,
It froze them stiff, t'was the worst of their fears.
Those eager knights
Hoping to win the precious sacks,
Would turn tail and run, never looking back.

Alas it appeared,
The entire kingdom was distraught,
Was the defeat of the valiant knights
All for naught?
A young Earth Faerie, learning of their cause,
Hurried to shut the fell Eyrie's jaws.
Since this Faerie had not the mortal failing,
She did not run nor tremble before the wailing.

A magical spell she cast upon this being,
A spell so powerful, it ceased its screaming.
The dark creature's voice was silent and hushed,
And the it fled in a desperate rush.
The young Earth Faerie,
Having completed her task,
Rejoiced with all of Meridell,
Which was freed at last.

Ode to a Darigan Eyrie
By Faded_theory

A great shadow fell across
Neopia's skies
As a great Darigan Eyrie
Soared right on by

Wockies covered their heads
Kougras cowered in fright
Even the great mighty Draiks
Quailed at the sight

Of a being so powerful
All purple and black
One never knew
Just when they would attack

A powerful beak,
And sharp deadly claws
Made the Eyrie very dangerous
To the big and the small

With its cunning red eyes
And big, powerful frame
Having an encounter with one
left the victim not the same

With its oversized wings
It can fly here to there
From 0 to 60
Anytime, anywhere

With features like that
No wonder everyone fears
Whenever a Darigan Eyrie
Is rumored to be near

Peg Leg and Three Paws
By Sakabasharpie

Cap'n Threelegs he's known
By many young scallywags,
An intructor of hardy heart and skill,
But once himself he was a small whelp,
Upon the open sea.

The Esmeercadia the ship was named,
Its captain and first mate both stern.
But they made a good living
Off the weak sailors of the sea.
'Twas a good ship, it proved,
Until a dark day of fate.

Trailing new prey, they were,
When a storm caught in their sails.
Waves washed about, crashed on the shores,
Making the crewbeasts rant and wail.
Lightning crashed
And thunder destroyed the mast,
And all was lost in chaos.
But Cap'n Threelegs leaped in a dinghy
With the first mate and a ship mate.

For weeks they rode, sick without abode,
When they came to the shores of Mystery Island.
There they were greeted by a tribeful of natives,
Who truly had no good intentions.
But lucky for the pirates, their ship mate,
The Aisha, had a brother on a grand brig.
Its name was Peophintine, and it stopped
By the island every two months.

So they waited and waited,
Being wary of the natives,
And finally the Peophintine arrived.
The three pirates were swept away,
Their backs to the island,
And lo! They were saved.
