All about my new affliction
A dreadful disease,
Worse than Hoochie Coochies
Oh no, I've got Avatar Addiction!!

Now I'm not a Neopian newbie
I've been here a year or two
So you'd think I'd be smart and not even start
To follow a craze that is new.

But no, I joined the masses
I wanted an avatar, you see
And I started quite well, for as you may tell
You can get some avatars for FREE!!

Just go look up a Faerie Grundo,
A Maraquan Krawk or Angelpuss
"This is easy," said me, "I've got three already
So why do people make a fuss?"

The next few were reasonably easy
I bought codestones and dung when I shopped.
Refreshed some more, till my finger was sore
And that's where I SHOULD have stopped!

Cos it started to get quite expensive
All the stuff that I had to buy
Petpets and trading cards and it was very hard
To get Edna to finally comply!!

I got lucky and bought some rare chocolate
I made a Blue Fuzzle say, "Boo!"
Oh Drackonack PLEASE!
Will you EAT the cheese?
Or I'll get my Skeith to eat YOU!

So that's the situation at present
Still waiting for Sloth to appear.
Or for Adam to splash, some of his cash
So that I could have somewhere near.

I have to confess I'm addicted
There's nothing wrong with that.
Because you see, there are others like me
You'll find them in Avatar Chat!!

Bilge Dice Addiction

My Kau has an addictive personality.
"Let's gamble a little," she says to me.
Every night, it's slots and Grarrl Keno--
It's like we live in an all night casino!

I told her to join "Gamblers Anonymous"
It seemed Xochi and betting were synonymous.
I cut her off and she called me too restrictive.
She changed her siggy
To "Gambling's NOT addictive."

I threatened to turn her mutant instead of cloud
Of her appearance, she'd always been proud.
She promised to spend only one hundred NP,
But the next morning
I found my bank account empty!

That was it, I really could take no more.
The punishments were going to get hardcore.
She was grounded and had
To clean our whole Neohome
And she wasn't allowed to talk on the telephone.

Finally, I'd found something to get her attention.
Xochi thought these punishments
Too awful to mention.
She promised to finally get her act straight.
Could it really be true? I'd just have to wait.

For awhile there, I had my pet back.
Her gambling program kept her on track.
She worked so hard, it wasn't easy for her.
I never thought a relapse was bound to occur.

It seemed she had gotten
Ahold on her addiction--
Perhaps it wasn't an uncurable affliction!
But something new came along today...
Bilge Dice was sure to lead her astray.

She started the game and said with a taunt,
"See? I can quit whenever I want!"
It had been out only 1 hour--it was brand new.
She wouldn't even stop playing to go to the loo.

My poor Xochi, I love her 'cause she is so nice,
But I've lost her forever
To a game called Bilge Dice.
She'll play 'til she starves, she'll play 'til she dies.
I should tell my other pets to say their goodbyes.

Darn you, Neopets, for taking my Kau!
I'll get my revenge, this I will vow.
Xochi and I used to be peas in a pod,
But now she'll barely give me a nod.

One night while Adam and Donna sleep,
Into the closed Neopets office I'll creep.
I'll replace Bilge Dice with something so dumb,
All my pets will want
To stay home with their Mum!

Ode to Ice Lollies

Ice Lollies come in different flavors
Some of them are hard to favor
Some of them have extreme names
I'll say those "some",
But even they could be lame

There's milky moo and bananarific,
Chickentastic, that's real different...
Chocolatty and cococrazy,
Mighty melon is my fav-y!

Mint explosion, strawbericious;
Hamarama makes me nauseous...
Strawberry and vanilla, appletastic;
The most expensive might be angelic

Metalicious, and fiery flames;
Then there's some with weirder names
Like zeenana and tigerbuggle...
Ooh! The only cheap one: cloud Usul!

I think that's about all I know...
Off to the Snow Foods Shop I go!
To try to catch some, they go real fast!
Everyone's wanting the rarer ones,
And keep a stash

So refresh! Refresh!
And spend that cash!
What?! I have 0 NP??!
Oh, dang...

Aethia, child, if you have but the courage
You can wield the swords I once wore.
Have faith in yourself and teach others to battle
Protect Neopia and be a Battle Faerie of lore.
