Emakoke
By Ikea_sale

I'm the famous Aisha, Emakoke!
My name's on the lips of all the townsfolk,
For my soft yellow coat is really sublime,
And I've won the Beauty Comp dozens of times!

I'm the Battledome champion,
The toughest around!
I can creep past the Snowager without a sound,
I take all the Neggs and I give them out free!
For I'm so filled up with generosity!

You can't count my riches, they go on forever,
I've read every book because I am so clever!
I've won every trophy, I've played every game,
Everyone in Neopia knows my name!

I'm friends with the Faeries, especially the Queen
They've given me items that no one has seen!
I have every power; I'm at the top level
I have my own kingdom... in glory I revel!

I'm loyal and speedy; I make a great quester,
I'm funny--King Skarl made me his royal jester!
I'm a superhero, and I save the nation!

(At least Emakoke has imagination!)

Auction Frenzy
By Arachneafemella

I casually stroll by the rows of tables
Selling old palm fans and Neopian fables.
I walk right by the cakes and potions
And I avoid all of the blue plushies and lotions.

My eyes do, however, find quite a prize:
A Faerie paint brush before my very eyes!
I try to keep my cool as my eyes are gleaming--
And all around me, I see others scheming.

I waltz over to the table and I place my bid.
Seconds later, I am outdone by a little kid!
He said, "I've been saving
Since I was eight years old.
Paint brushes mean power,
Or that's what I'm told."

I place a higher bid,
For that brush is so very fine...
I want it! I want it!
That paint brush must be mine!
The kid calls out an even higher amount of NP,
And I can see this kid
Doesn't know he's messing with me.

I shout out an even bigger number,
Smiling as I do.
I remark, "I can keep this up all day... can you?"
This kid looks serious...
He's been to auction before.
He bests me again, bidding even more!

My eyes are hungry,
And they're wild for that brush.
I simply will not settle for any tea, book, or plush.
All of a sudden, though, it dawned on me:
"My pets are all painted, as gorgeous as can be!"

"Hey kid," I said, "you win,
I don't want it anymore.
I got caught up in an auction frenzy
As I never have before!"
"Aw," he sighed quite sadly,
"I don't like it much either now.
It's more fun placing bids
Than actually winning it for my Kau!"

Vira's Demise
By Greensheathed

Daisy chains
And drops of dew
The sorrowful remains
Of an Acara like few.
Her thoughts turned to her looks,
Forgetting the sun,
A simple word was all it took:
She desperately wished to be the prettiest one.
Naive Acaras shouldn't always believe,
Shadowy voices,
With tricks up their sleeves.

With a poisoned rose
She wanders the fields anew,
Not truth, nor reality her mirrors expose
Don't fall under the spell they put on you!
Blood red eyes
Haggard wings,
With her promises and lies
A siren's melody Vira sings.
True beauty abounds,
Within those that are pure:
It can always be found,
Too bad for Vira--
A mirror's corruption has no cure!

Test Your Strength!
By Minnikkata

"Roll up! Roll up!
To the newest game in the fair!
Test Your Strength! that is,
If you have 100 Neopoints to spare.

Want to get millions of Neopoints?
Well pick up the mallet and have a go!
I assure you, this game is not rigged,
And you can win great prizes, you know.

Think you can hit the top?
Well, everyone thinks they can, too.
And, do you know how many do?
Very, very few.

I oiled the machine this morning,
It should be easy to beat.
I know what you're thinking,
There is no way to cheat."

Out in the middle of the Haunted Woods,
Stands a Deserted Fairground.
This is where a brown Mynci,
And his game can be found.

Arnold's his name.
He just appeared there one day.
Now, many people play his game,
And most lose, to their dismay.

Where did he come from?
Why is he here?
How do you win?
The answers may never appear.

Meridell Haikus
By Moose777

Lush and fertile land
Flowers blooming all around
Lovely Meridell

At the Turdle race
I lost a few Neopoints
Nutty takes first place

Cheeserolling is hard
Why did I pick a hot day?
Now my cheese is stuck

Meri Acres farm
It seems mostly full of dung
Where are the berries?

At the dump I try
To quickly grab a Turtum
Got more dung instead

The Dung Faerie gives
Many stinky piles of dung
She's so generous

We tried everything
But my Petpet just can't wake
The Turmaculus

King Skarl is grumpy
He never laughs at my joke
Even though he's rich

At Illusen's Glade
The beautiful Faerie asks
More than I can give

That marrow looks huge
I will try to guess its weight
I guessed wrong, again

I could spend all day
In such a delightful place
Lovely Meridell
