LENNY DAY SPECIAL

My Beautiful Lenny
by illegalangelx

Lenny, my lenny, so beautiful
Your eyes are so honest, so truthful
In every version, so colorful
Your delicate wings are so vulnerable

The first polkadot pet, you were
A darling bird without any fur
Your faerie wings are unlike most,
But oh so stunning, so you may boast

You have been known to cause quite a stir
With all of your conundrums, sir
Your intelligence is matched by none
And when painted gold, you mimic the sun

Such a breathtaking pet you are
So underestimated, but you’ve come so far
From baby to disco, magma to grey
What will happen the next Lenny Day?

Whatever color appears from the blue
Your beautiful form will always ring true
On this day of yours, the twelfth day of Awakening
Where would you like me to take you vacationing?

Lenny Paper Mask
by indulgences

I must admit, I laughed out loud
When first I saw this mask.
This thing is so hilarious!
This mask is such a blast!

I love the Lenny so, so much,
And this is why I hoot.
What Lenny ought to wear this mask
When every Lenny's cute?

Just think of its bright trusting eyes,
Its beak curved in a smile.
It has a lot of fluffy hair.
The Lenny does beguile!

So why would any Lenny wear
This most unhappy mask?
The question haunts me every day.
I laugh, then brood, then laugh!

The Lenny Paper Mask is such
A strange, eccentric thing.
Your pet will look so singular,
A paper bag with wings!

Colourful Lennies
by alyndasgallery

Plumage of purple and silver and gold,
Colours that shimmer so bright and so bold,
Regal by day and mystical by night,
The Faerie Lenny is both stunning and bright.

Giant claws that are sharp and mean,
Tattered wings that flap and gleam,
Gives you an evil Vulture's stare,
Befriend a Mutant Lenny, if you dare.

A shimmering and iridescent shine,
This next pet is a favourite of mine,
Rippling like the ocean wide and blue,
The Water Lenny is proud and true.

Wearing buckled boots and a pointy hat,
An evil stare that will stop you flat,
This creature cackles in the night,
The Halloween Lenny gives quite a fright.

Super soft feathers full of fluff,
They're much more sweet than they're tough,
This ickle bird is quite a beaut,
The Baby Lenny is oh so cute!

Flight of the Lenny
by haic0re

You may think a Lenny is a Lenny, nothing more
A little bird, two skinny legs, a prehistoric bore.
But a Lenny ain’t a Lenny there is much more to the lore
Let me break it down in a way unheard before.

Intelligent and curious and forward thinking birds
They think above the rest and do not travel with the herds.
Many a Lenny have a reputation in these lands
Waving wands and feather tails, they don’t even need a hand.

Finneus the Keeper, keeping archives so pristine
Although sometimes forgetful, he is smarter than he seems.
Don’t forget the Conundrum Conductor, throwing us for a loop
We can never guess it right, he thinks it such a hoot.

Moss Tullerby the Lenny sometimes is forgotten, too
But when it comes to conservation, he knows just what to do.
Wheeler’s always riding for the flotsam chef when he can fly
We know he’s got those feathery wings so we cannot guess why.

Vela Binal, Professor Rigby, shopkeepers and more
Lennys are a gracious gift to Neopia galore.
Are you a Lenny? Do you know your worth?
Do you sometimes feel forgotten at birth?
Think on this poem and now you’ll see
A Lenny like you can make Neopian history.

Ode to the Lenny Conundrum
by icysnowe

My oh my, what a perplexing puzzle,
A mind-numbing mess this riddle has made.
A mindless mess, a maze of maths;
Logic and reason has begun to fade.

Mental sums were never my strong suit,
Not even with a calculator in front of me.
These mind-boggling numbers make no sense;
Add five subtract two then divide ‘x' by three?

Oh Lenny, with your pointy hat so tall,
How in Neopia do you envision these tricks?
With your wizardly robe and starry wand in hand,
The only possible answer must be… Magic!

Oh Lenny, what a conundrum this is,
Won’t you be kinder the next round?
Cast a spell to make me smarter please;
I’m afraid that’s the only hope I’ve found!

Finding Finneus' Friends
by clairevoiant

A brilliant mind rests beneath the wild hair
Of Finneus the Lenny, who surely doesn’t care
About his appearance (or at least it seems),
For studying and learning are his only dreams.

He lives in a place surrounded by a gate,
And for a thousand years, he had to wait
For someone like you to solve the mystery
Of Altador’s past, and now that’s history.

So if you want to meet the whacky Lenny,
Enter the Archives, but watch out! There’s plenty
Of wrong doors to take, so look for the beak
Of the curious Lenny taking a peek.

Once you enter his office— a mess!
He surely doesn’t feel the need to impress…
He’ll thank you for coming and scoot to the side
As if he’s got something he’s trying to hide.

He clears his throat and adjusts his eye piece
(You watch him clean it and his eyebrows crease.)
“What’s wrong?” you ask the old Neopet--
What could be causing the Lenny to fret?

He tells you about something he’s lost,
And finally assumes it must have been tossed
Into the trash, never to be found--
A tear falls down his face and lands on the ground.

But before you can even offer to help,
You step on a broken box… and yelp!
What was hidden under his messy mound?
The Meepit plushies he’d lost have been found!

A Lovely Lenny
by chavo_guerrero

Two long and orange spindly legs,
That rather match his beak,
His head has parted feathers,
Instead of just one peak.

Large and useful pretty wings,
Can help this birdie fly,
And they really glide effortlessly,
Up in the cloudless sky.

His tail is quite a sight to see,
With his tripled little fan.
If anyone can win your heart,
Then this Neopet surely can!

I'm speaking of the Lenny,
Just in case there was some doubt,
And if you haven't seen one,
You should really check them out.

A nicer little Neopet,
I cannot think exists,
At least I haven't seen one,
On any Neopian lists.

And if the lovely Lenny,
Is not your kind of 'pet,
Well, the reason's very simply,
Because you haven't owned one yet!

Lenny Plague Doctors
by dr_tomoe

When sickness comes to town
or there's another Scourgies outbreak
Neopian's stay locked in their homes
where they can feel safe

But as the illnesses spread
and the Neohospital does all it can do
one can only hope that soon
the Lenny Plauge Doctors will come through.

The doctors will be recognized
by the distinct masks their wear
that cover their eyes and beaks
and long brimmed hats to cover their hair.

They'll come to the towns and villages
dressed in their long black robes
and keep nice smelling spices
tucked into their clothes

With them, they'll hold a staff
full of pleasant scented herbs
which they can wave about
as they gather upon the curbs

And with their books in hand
they will use what they know
to attempt to cure the plagues
with what they have in tow.

The Pink Lenny Feather Fan
by binky1260

On a trip to Central with Neopoints in hand,
I headed to the gift shop for a Pink Lenny Feather Fan.

It would be the perfect present for my Valentine;
Made of feathers tinged with silver, it simply is sublime.

I hurried to the gift shop in fear it was sold out,
But just before I reached the door, I sadly felt in doubt.

For, though I knew my Valentine would love that precious treasure,
Would not the Pink Lenny miss her feathers beyond measure?

Before temptation gripped me, I quickly turned around,
To Neopian Fresh Foods, I was keenly bound.

It’s so much kinder to give my friend a Chocolate Coated Pear
Than to make a poor Pink Lenny’s tail feather-bare.

The Last Lenny of Faerieland
by stmarshall

The Lenny shook her wings and bowed her head,
Her spirits low and vigour dashed,
Psyche injured, dreams cruelly slashed,
Where once hope resided replaced by dread.

She called out - a single squawk in vain.
Echoing across the cloudy field.
Once proud and standing, now she kneeled.
In her heart, all she felt was pain.

For Faerieland has been invaded.
Her motherland covered in ash and dust,
The old statues now turned to rust,
Neighbourhoods gone and buildings immolated.

A single Faerie buzzed from behind.
"Oh no, goodness, why are you still here?
You'd be wise to leave immediately, my dear."
Her voice was urgent and tense, but kind.

Wiping away her tears, the Lenny took flight,
Her brilliant wings outstretched in the air,
The wind whistling through her feathers and hair,
Until what remained of Faerieland was out of sight.

Was it but a dream, a nightmare awoken by a snore?
The last Lenny asked herself in the years to come.
Only to face the reality come the morn',
Faerieland is ... no more.
