Neopian Heroes/Villains Special

Chia Clown's Demise
by _ticklemepink

I've never been one to fight,
or to carry much anger or spite.
But no matter how hard I try,
one face unleashes my battle cry.

His happy face and bright orange hair,
causes me feelings of rage and despair.
A tickle of a feather or a squirt from his flower,
In the Battledome I'm ready for the zero hour.

Though he may not be terrifying to all,
there is no villain I'd rather see fall.
Jump in your clown car and get away quick,
No more Neopians shall fall for your tricks.

When you meet face to face with the Chia Clown,
his bright, cheery smile will cause you to frown.
Though he may be a prankster that is only pint-sized,
This peppy scoundrel is ready for his demise.

Beware the Three
by parody_ham

If misfortune has you see
The spectral forms
Of temptation be
Beware the Three

The ghostly trio represents
Greed, ambition, and revenge
They worm their way inside your mind
Manipulating what they find

If misfortune has you see
The spectral forms
Of temptation be
Beware the Three

Their whispered words corrupt the hearts
Thirst for power is how it starts
Those who crave to become more
Is whom they target for their chore

If misfortune has you see
The spectral forms
Of temptation be
Beware the Three

The madness quickly takes control
Tarnishing the very soul
Of foolish ones who thought their right
Was ruling lands through fear and might

If misfortune has you see
The spectral forms
Of temptation be
Beware the Three

For Lord Kass who sought their aid
Very quickly his heart strayed
When failure fell upon his lot
They removed him on the spot

If misfortune has you see
The spectral forms
Of temptation be
Beware the Three

Beware the Three

Run Faeries Run
by bex2633

Run, faeries, run, the Lupe is on his way,
For past deeds vile, all faeries must pay.
Once a simple Lupe, mistreated and abused,
For crimes long gone, all faeries are accused.

Hounded in the woods, by dark faeries cruel,
He seeks vengeance; never again the fool.
The scourge of faeries throughout all the lands,
No mercy, no pity, is found at his hands.

Run, faeries, run, lest you end up in his jaws,
He is on the hunt, bottles in his paws.
Trapped and bottled, he’ll sell you all for gold,
Haunted by his past; his heart turned cold.

Though dark faeries set his path of spite,
Now all faeriekind shall know no respite.
Faeries of fire, light, earth, and air,
He’ll catch every one, without a care.

Run, faeries, run, Balthazar is here,
Fly away fast, don’t cower in fear.
Though some will free you; they wish to be blessed,
Be warned there’s no end to his evil quest.

Send My Regards to Velm
by precious_katuch14

Send my regards to Velm,
A wandering soul
Whose skills give him
An indispensable role.

Send my regards to Velm,
Who answered adventure's call,
Taking his place to ensure
That none of his friends fall.

Send my regards to Velm,
Who soothes a sore wand hand,
Who restores an archer's aim,
Who helps a warrior stand.

Send my regards to Velm,
A skilled cleric and healer,
Who doesn't back down
Even as danger draws nearer.

Send my regards to Velm,
Who marches into battle
With courage and magic,
Proving his mettle.

Send my regards to Velm,
A master of healing,
A mage of many spells,
Enthralling and shielding.

Send my regards to Velm,
Who keeps health and morale high,
Who enchants monsters
And outsmarts enemies sly.

Send my regards to Velm,
Courageous till the end.
To Rohane, Mipsy and Talinia,
An invaluable friend.

Keeper of Time, Ancient Bori King
by fyora_fyora__33

Keeper of Time, ancient Bori King,
your solemn face sculpts the solid ice.
How great is this evil you're fighting
that your people have to pay the price?

You recall how warmth fills these chambers,
how sunlight shimmers upon the frost
and how these halls echo with laughter.
To the Night, all these could have been lost.

The day you prayed the Heart to unwind,
both foes and allies froze before you.
Your spell has spared nothing but your mind,
so your regal judgement burdens you.

Perhaps, it even occurs to you
that this spell is merely a prison
for crimes Bori did not even do,
but you trust the Heart has its reason.

What is left to do but meet your fate
and win to keep your people from harm?
Even if it takes lifetimes to wait,
you dream of the Bori's call to arms.

Honouring Heroes: Brynn and Hanso
by t0tor0

A young knight in King Hagan’s Guard
Once caught a thief on her first day
And left him in a jail cell barred.
The next day, Hanso got away.

Brynn’s otherwise sublime career
Was only marred by Hanso’s crime.
He always seemed to disappear
Right after she caught him, each time.

When the Faeries turned to stone,
King Hagan sent her to inquire.
The Captain soon had cause to groan—
Her past with Hanso would transpire.

Although she wasn’t pleased to find
The Ixi at the Festival,
She knew him and was still inclined
To trust his story best of all.

It turned out Brynn was right to trust
The thief, but not the sorceress.
His double-crossing deed was just
A ruse to safeguard Brynn’s success.

He didn’t know if it would work,
And Brynn was proud—but crushed—it did.
For in the end, the charming jerk
Had kept his golden heart well-hid.

Fyora, freed, then saved him from
A future as an effigy,
Because the crook had shown aplomb
Defeating the archenemy.

For her heroic bravery,
The Faerie Queen recruited Brynn.
To deal with the unsavoury,
She picked the thief with the sly grin.

While we don’t get to see them much,
The Captain and the Master Thief
Have had good cause to keep in touch,
Without arrests, to Brynn’s relief.

They’re travelling to parts unknown
To find and bring back artefacts.
The pair is glad they’re not alone
Performing their heroic acts.

Darigan's Lament
by mecha_fang

Come, hear the sad tale of Lord Darigan
Once the ruler of a prosperous land
Now the lord of a dark domain
Once proud, in deep despair he now reigns

The knights of Meridell, they came from afar
As their land was in despair, torn and scarred
However, they committed a most terrible sin
They stole Darigan’s Orb, and caused the land to fall into ruin

Darigan fought for his people, to take back what was theirs
From the invaders, who prospered from their despair
He won the war, aided by those who knew what was right
And abandoned Skarl’s men to aid the true heroes of the fight

But alas, the Orb did not heal his land
And Darigan fell into madness at The Three’s hand
In a rage, he attempted to destroy Meridell
And by his own men, he eventually fell

However, this was not the end of Darigan
The wicked Lord Kass had a most foul plan
To destroy Meridell, once and for all
He made a deal with The Three and fell into their thrall

Darigan was not dead! He was weakened and frail
But he would be important, the true hero of this tale
He forgave Meridell, and fought Kass the cruel
He dethroned his successor, and once more did he rule

Yet despite all Darigan’s done, for Meridell and his people
To most of Neopia, he is considered to be evil
And yet, the knights who started the whole affair
Are considered the heroes, much to Darigan’s despair

So ask yourself – who is the true hero of this story?
Is it the knights who deserve all the glory
For stealing from the meek, the scared and the helpless…
Or is it Lord Darigan, whose actions were selfless?

Balthazar, Bottler of Faeries
by petpower14156

Loneliness. Abandoned, bereft, orphaned.
Young Balthazar's heart was gripped by fear.
Haunted Woods- no place for a Lupe pup,
Yet he had been left alone. He was so lonely.

Hunger. Gnawing, aching, emptiness.
His body too now shared the pain in his soul.
What had he done to incur this fate?
Dreams were the only substance to succor his hunger.

Fear. Urgency, uncertainty, unknowingness.
Snapped stick from unknown footfall
Rustling from invisible sources.
Was he alone? Was someone there? Which was more frightening?

Light. Penetrating, luminous, beckoning.
Someone to save him, hailing with purple orbs illuminating the night.
An end to loneliness, hunger, and fear.
Casting off the shadows of his doubts, he moved to the light.

Pain. Sharp blow, unfeeling stone, lash of stick on fur.
This light had betrayed him, no warm touch here to soothe him.
No food or shelter, but his wounds were not the worst of it.
The rejection wrought the most poignant pain.

Laughter. Jeering, fingers pointing, mouths twisted.
The mockery of his vulnerability amused them.
He thought he was alone before, this was worse
He was isolated in purple swirls of dark faerie laughter.

Stirring. Something new born from within.
His own darkness, an anger to fuel and keep him strong.
He would survive to repay this debt,
Deep within his own mind, revengeful plots stirred.

Trapped. Inescapable loss of freedom.
They trapped him in his own isolation with their laughter
And his anger sealed the lid. A heart unable to forgive
His only purpose is to see them likewise trapped.

Bottled. Suppressed, isolated, trapped.
He now deals in turn the pain he has felt.
They experience the pain their sisters once dealt
When he traps them, mind and body, in bottles.

Cyclic. Circling, eye for eye, no forward movement.
Two sides of one coin flipped into the air that one dark night
Dark faeries laughed at a little lupe's suffering
His heart is now steeled to continue this cycle.

Villainous. Warped heart, festering wounds.
Stagnantly trapped, reliving his hurt each time he deals it out.
Not noticing the shoes he has slipped his paws into
Are those of the faeries he framed as his own tale's villains.

Dark Faerie, Light Heart
by theautisticscorpio

Upon her bluff she sits and waits
For those who choose her quest
She snarls and smirks and says she hates
But deep inside her chest
A heart beats light
With hope and pain
She fears no one will love her again
She is a dark faerie after all
And who would love darkness
No one at all
So she keeps her frown tied
to her indigo face
Keeps her heart closed
A wall built around the place
Where things beat and patter and flutter
Alone
Is she truly doomed to be all alone?
Dark faerie
Light heart
She knows she's the villain
Dark faerie
Light heart
But she wishes so much to be more

Point of View
by sixvibes_

It seems to me
and maybe to you
that a villain
never stays true

It looks to me
the villain has gone
but what if to them
we're in the wrong

maybe we just need
to see another
point of view
to come together
