Cured
By M_kbo

Stout of heart and small in stature,
The young Lupe stands and waits in line.
Her fate has been her only teacher,
Fate, to her, has been unkind.

She claws upon the red spots itching,
Dreads the Itchy Scratchy cream.
All she can do is stand there wishing,
Wishing this was just a dream.

The pharmacy has not the cure,
The wizard gives results too pricey.
There is one who can help for sure,
But hurry, quick! Her fate is dicey.

To Faerieland! The young Lupe flies,
To gaze in wonder all around
At floating castles in the skies,
So many miles above the ground.

The Healing Springs is where she's going,
"Can I help?" the faerie asks.
The Lupe then feels her itches slowing,
While in a golden light she basks.

The Water Faerie's given thanks
For freeing Katya from her pain;
She leaves the river's grassy banks,
Her Itchy Scratchies have been slain.

Dismay
By Fizzee_whizbee

From yonder I came
Down Neopia way.
A pet would be born
On this fateful day.

Short-lived excitement,
I peered at the screen.
Now, I wish it had all
Been a very bad dream.

I searched and I searched,
My mind growing fretter--
Through dozens of pets,
'Till I found one much better.

Love at first sight!
I twanged like a noodle.
Here was my pet!
A fluffy pink Poogle.

'Twas not meant to be.
Though I hate it, it's true.
As I clicked on that key,
My heart broke in two.

"No more are there left,
You won't get to pet it."
That knife in my chest--
I'll never forget it.

And so, to this day,
I wait and I pray.
My thoughts ever stray
Back to my dismay.

Loved, Lost and Forgotten
By Sparkly_fairy_dust

Once upon a time I was loved dearly,
I had an owner -– she did care for me.
She showed her feelings very clearly,
A happy life was in the guarantee.

The Discarded Magical Blue
Grundo Plushie was loved.

Then one day I was taken on a trip,
To the magical place called Faerieland.
It was there my owner lost her grip,
I flew away out of the loving hand.

The Discarded Magical Blue
Grundo Plushie was lost.

And there I lay on a sad lonely cloud,
My presence missed only for a while.
Judged and scorned by a watching crowd,
I couldn't even manage a measly smile.

The Discarded Magical Blue
Grundo Plushie was forgotten.

And there you have it -– the story of my life!
Loved, lost and then sadly forgotten.
I exist in a world of sadness and strife,
A lumpy piece of deserted cotton.

Werelupe
By Juicerocker

A deadly glint and fiery eyes,
Waiting for the sun to rise,
Hoping no one hears your cries,
Your own path to guide you.

Insane with a mourning call,
And waiting for someone to fall,
Acting like you've lost it all,
Along the forest's road.

Raving inside you cannot see,
You can wish to cease to be,
No one's here, still you plea,
Your own beast inside you.

Dark cold night and fire's flare,
In the still and smoky air,
Madness inside starts to tear,
Along what you call home.

Hoping nothing can go wrong,
Singing your deadly, crazy song,
Tripping blindness all along,
Your own fear to hide you.

The Fishing Poem
By Nanook72

It started out in a way one sunny day,
As the wind danced through the trees,
My life had seemed so pleasant then,
My days were full of ease.

From my pleasant old home I did placidly roam
To the street they so aptly call "Main";
In corner of eye, near that Money Tree guy
Was a sign: "Come play the fishing game!"

I got my boots, I stumbled down
To the dock where day looks like night,
And my feet grew cold as the day grew old,
And the fish wouldn't come up to bite.

I caught fifteen cans and boots of a man's,
And some kelp, but couldn't I wish?
For in the atoll, out of reach of my pole,
Swam the beautiful waterfish.

It shimmered and shone
Like the breaking of dawn,
The fisherman all stopped to see
For the fish was in sight, and with all of its might,
Yanked the pole, and with it, yanked me.

Now for your own sake,
Stay away from that lake,
Where the waterfish shimmer and sheen,
And keep your own pole far from that atoll,
For though pretty, waterfish are mean.
