There arises a certain holiday cheer.
A fine layer of snow begins 
To blanket the grass;
It seems that once again,
It's that time of year. 

The Advent Calendar again opens its doors
To joyful Neopets from far and near.
We put on our coats and scarves 
And we brace ourselves for the cold; 
Everyone knows that 
It's that time of year. 

The gloom of autumn fades 
And the skies are bright and clear.
The air is sweet with the scents
Of holiday treats;
How can anyone be sad 
This time of year? 

Once December begins,
We all know what's here.
Halloween has gone, 
and Thanksgiving too,
Heralding the beginning 
Of that certain time of year. 

Because once December begins, 
We all know that Christmas is near.

That we've all been waiting for.

Or keep them close in hand.
Whatever you decide to do,
The choice is rather grand.

The Month of Celebrating is finally here!
I cannot contain my excitement!
It's time for the best activity of the year
My favorite: the Calendar of Advent!

All year I anxiously await
The presents that it brings daily.
Those winter gifts put a spring in my step
And I act just a little more gaily.

Each morning I leap out of my bed
And to Terror Mountain I scurry
I rush to the log cabin in Happy Valley
to discover my gift in a hurry!

It's hard not to be impatient
As I imagine what could be waiting for me.
You never know what you might find
Hidden in the animated tree.

I might get a brand new book,
like Neopian Lakes or Book of Cooperation,
Or perhaps instead I'll get to read
Quality Time or Holiday Fashion.

There's plenty of delicious food to be found,
like a Doughnutfruit made of chocolate,
a Plate of Smores or Bacon
or even a holiday Turkey and Cranberry Omelette.

Sometimes I'll get clothes to keep me warm:
Asparagus Scarf or a Taelia Style Coat.
Other times it's another trendy wearable
like a Holiday Tree Necklace to go around my throat.

But I most anticipate those designated as Gifts.
I feel like they speak to my soul!
Holiday-themed cards, stockings filled with goodies -
Once I think I even found a Lump of Flaming Coal!

In 16 years the Advent Calendar has been quite active,
It has distributed over 800 different items!
Plus, let's don't forget, the clever holiday animations -
Each day they work to brighten.

More than just free stuff, the Advent Calendar
spreads the spirit of generosity.
Each Neopian could learn to follow its example
always serving others with constancy.

The true celebration in the Month of Celebrating
is an endeavor of great caliber.
The holiday season wouldn't be the same
without the joy of the Advent Calendar!

Hooray December 1 has arrived,
I scurry to Terror Mountain to be revived,
It is the best time of year,
Filled with fun and countless cheer,
I look forward to getting my prizes,
From the advent calendar, such great surprises!

On the first day a cap and a book,
Then some tea from the hook!
Who knows what comes next?
Maybe a stamp or maybe some checks,
It’s the thrill of the season,
Everyone gets excited for this reason.

Along with that delightful fun, 
There’s a bonus activity to be done,
The Snowager sleeps all day!
So in his pile we can go to play,
He won’t blast anytime soon,
Unless you get unlucky and wake the goon.

Neopia comes together in the cold,
To celebrate the winter, a tradition old.
It happens every year,
A wonderful celebration, I could shed a tear,
It is the happiest time of the year, so…
Rejoice in the wintertime to and fro!
