Throughout the years we've had some laughs
We've had plots and fought wars
There's always some new to discover
Nothing in Neopia is ever a bore!

Random Events giving stamps
Or sometimes stealing your Neopoints
But rest assure that if Illusen visits,
You will never have felt disappoint

Finding new lands
And rebuilding the fallen
Support every Neopian
Is something we all have in common

Doing quests for Faeries
and testing the Brain Tree
Finding yourself on the High Score Tables
Will bring you nothing but glee

Working hard towards your goals
Whether it be feeding, collecting, or books
No matter what your interests
Neopets will have you hooked!

The beauty of Neopia
Is everything is so random
And I firmly believe
It's why we are the greatest fandom!

Quest of the Fountain Faerie

The sunlight cast its rays
across the glistening water,
in its many shades of beauty.

All the colours
of light and darkness
blend together here.

The faerie smiles,
an invitation to take a step
into its warmth.

The choices are vast,
decisions endless -
which one should you choose?

Will you grow shimmering wings,
brightest eyes, 
and lovely pink fur?

Will you grow horns and fangs,
and blackest scales,
an effigy of Darigan Castle?

It is all up to you -
that is, if you’re lucky enough
to receive her quest to begin with!

Realization of the Library Faerie

Strong, proud, fearsome, majestic
The faeries of Neopia stand tall.
Upon a pedestal tall and serene,
Their powers illuminate the land. 

Leaders they are, and mighty too,
Beloved by Neopians all.
Self-assurance steadies the hands that serve,
Countless years have perfected their skills.

But within their midst stood a Faerie less sure,
What was her power compared with all theirs?
The glamour and grace that these women possessed,
How could she hope to match them in stride?

A Book Faerie? A Library Faerie? 
Her inner fears scoff at her titles.
Surely her abilities could not compare
To the grandiose powered displayed by her kin.

Insecurities whispered in self-doubting voices:
Who was she to stand tall with the rest? 
Not from lack of desire, rather lack of great talent,
“An imposter,” the voice inside said.

She’d been given a title she felt went unearned 
Though for years she had given her best.
Playing both judge and jury, she found herself lacking
And she steeled to face this bleak fate.

However, within her, rebellion stirred
Was this verdict objectively fair?
Emotions and fear had swayed her sound judgement
And at long last her error was clear.

Every Neopet is special in their own unique way
But cannot be measured by one standard.
Judge a Koi by its ability to climb up a tree,
It will spend its life feeling inferior. 

How could this be self-evident in cases like that,
But forgotten when it came to herself? 
Just as the Neopets each have their own special strengths, 
The faeries too, each have their skills. 

If her powers lacked in the glittering sparkles
Or powerful, earth-shaking strength,
Perhaps hers fit into a different role, 
And should not be so quickly dismissed.

Pyrapples and Floranges, Quiggles and Draiks,
You cannot measure one against the other.
Faeries too, should be considered unique,
And uniqueness enriches their power.
 
In greatest esteem she still holds her sisters,
But finally she sees the truth.
Her own gifts she shares with the land of Neopia,
Are as special and necessary too.

Soft Spring Mornings

The time I like best is when the sun is hot
and shines through my windows to dance across my floor
as the day goes on.
It is there that my Kadoatie sleeps, curled into a small ball.
She purrs all day long, while the sun warms her fur.
Winter is gone and the wind carries
only the songs of spring.
My Kadoatie purrs along with the sweet melody
happy now that warmer weather is here
soon she will play and be merry
now that all the grey clouds have gone away.
The sun shines on my home in Neopian Central
where I live with my Kadoatie.
Every spring is carried out the same
and we are forever grateful for its sweet chorale.

Shopping for Chocolate

Chocolate, chocolate everywhere
So many kinds that I can share!
Chocolate coins or Pteri eggs,
Chocolate charms or Easter Neggs!

I'll need some chocolate for the party
So everyone will think I'm such a smarty.
My friends don't like to make a mess
Especially when it ruins a perfect dress.

I'll take a trip to the Chocolate shop
To see if they have a Lollypop.
Chocolate on a stick is a good idea
Unless you get one from Sophia.

Looks like the shop is all sold out
I'll check the Shop Wiz so no need to pout.
It's a good thing chocolate isn't rare,
There is chocolate, chocolate everywhere!

Ice Palace Play

My frosty dears and darlings
The ice palace play has begun,
And it begins with a Krawk, fierce and snarling
With a dastardly scheme n'er to be outdone

She has a clever smile with robes of white
Allegedly the Defender's mightiest foe
If you haven't guessed yet, it's her, Lady Frostbite
Uncontested queen of ice and snow

She has a plan, and I wish her well
Neopia's weapons she's disarming
In efforts to complete her deeds most fell
I must admit she's rather charming

Would I be remiss
Would it be poorly chosen
To ask my dear lady for a kiss?

...Well now I'm rather frozen.

Haikus of Neopia: an ode to its lands

Welcome to the heart
overflowing with riches,
abundant of shops. 

In this central hub
the whole world comes together:
trade and art flourish.

Up the chilling North
gifts, calendars and ice rinks
join the mountain tops.

In this freezing place
there are terror and joy, like
a snowball skirmish.

Southwards: sandstorms, dust
and obelisks of wisdom,
tales of old and jewels.

The desert cities
now thrive in the hot sun, though
once lost and hidden.

In the deep ocean
the remnants of peace remain
as King Kelpbeard rules. 

Though ruined by a curse,
trade with pirates no longer
remains forbidden.

West, famous coasts of
the city of warriors
shine bright like their shields. 

In slumber no more
Halls of Heroes arise now,
guarded by firm walls.

And in ghastly woods
never leave the twisting path
or enter dark fields.

Ghost Meepits deceive
shaking guests and lead them to
haunted trees and halls.

Evasion Failure

You see the flash of light vanish as quick as it came,
It left behind some sludge, and a tiny little flame.
Something is missing... was it your nerkmid, a paint brush?
Was it your morphing potion, or your unbuyable slush?

A robot flies by, yelling about being chased after,
Dr. Sloth follows behind, with big booming laughter.
His cloak whips in the wind and he’s grinning so large,
He re-loads his ray gun and gets it ready to charge.

That’s when you realize that you are in the line of fire,
It’s time to get lost, before this turns dire.
You scamper to your guild and hide behind your friend,
This is it, we are doomed, IT’S THE BITTER END.

He approaches you slowly, his hand extended,
Perhaps he wants a truce, that would be splendid!
You go to shake his hand, but he looks at you strange,
“YOU OWE ME FOR TAXES, GIVE ME YOUR CHANGE.”

Of all the sundry avatars
That I long for in vain,
The Lottery has got to be
The hardest to obtain.

You have to win the Lottery,
Then view the winners' page.
The winners are quite random, and
Are varied in their age.

I've seen some newbies win a draw,
And veterans as well.
I celebrate each person's win.
I think their wins are swell.

And yet, I'm slightly bitter too.
I have no ticket luck.
I buy my favourite numbers, yet
I feel like such a schmuck.

The avatar is difficult,
And yet I try my best.
Someday, I'll be quite thrilled by all
The numbers that I guessed!
