Random Contest Winners!

Every week or so we have a new Random Contest. The rules and events vary from competition to competition. Below are the winners from the last contest. If you'd like to enter the current contest, wander on over to the Random Contest submission form and have a look at what the currently silly task is. Contest:
The Wind of Measurement

Don't get blown away!
With the change in the seasons it has been a bit windy. We were thinking about the wind and how fast it blows and that gave us some inspiration! So your task over the next few weeks is to create a Neopian themed anemometer. This can have whatever Neopian theme you think makes sense. Please do all of the work yourself. Your submission should include pictures of your anemometer (action shots would be amazing), and it should list in the description what it is made of and what your theme is. We will judge entries on how well they work, creativity, and their overall awesomness. :)

First Place

Two winners receive the Random Contest avatar, 20,000 NP and an item of DOOM.

Alien Aisha Anemometer
by lilliandeville
I was thinking about something that has 4 "appliances" - the Alien Aisha with its 4 antennas was just perfekt for this projekt! I also thought this little guy from out of space would be amazed by the wind, since there is no wind in space.

Pirate Negg Anemometer
by nieve__ff
In this spring and festival of negg time I made a negg anemometer. The materials I used: A bottle, black and white construction paper, red tissue paper, drinking straws, little plastic containers, napkins, grey and yellow acrylic paints, a tack, glue and sissors.

Second Place

Three lucky people have 10,000 NP, the Random Contest avatar and an item whizzing their way.

Airy Aisha Anemometer
by graykat222
Based on Neopia's own windy weather Aisha, my Airy Aisha Anemometer was made by sculpting, knitting, painting, cutting, and gluing. With its antennae rotating in the air my anemometer looks like it could take to the skies.

Faerieland Weather Tower
by kizza_2264
The wind speed is very important for the Faeries and their flight. I first made the anemometer using plastic cups, a pencil, a thumbtack and some stiff cardboard. Once the anemometer was running and in working order I got to work on the weather tower. I used an old tissue box, toilet paper rolls, paint and a little bit of faerie dust to create the base of the weather tower.

Terror Mountain Observatory
by s_h_a_i
I decided to build a anemometer with the theme of Terror Mountain because the weather is always windy with blizzards and snow, the perfect location for a weather observatory/station. :)

Third Place

Lastly there were 14 runners-up who will each receive 4,000 NP and the Random Contest avatar.
