My eyes are like fiery orbs of the sun,
From the bluest twilight my hair is spun.
My magical suit made in worlds afar,
These stockings are woven from the light of a star.

My wings are like blades that slice through space,
They take me to every faraway place.
I�ve witnessed a black hole, and a galaxy�s birth,
I�ve flown to the Milky Way,
to a planet called Earth.

But despite all the awesome wonders I�ve seen,
My heart remains with just one place I�ve been.
The universe I�ve scaled
And the cosmos I�ve roamed,
Yet Neopia will always be my true home.

I saved it from the clutches of evil Dr. Sloth,
I freed the slave Grundos, thus ending his wrath.
But for all these battles I just want you to know,
That I love Neopia as much as my sisters below.

So although you don�t see me around very much,
Please know that I care, that I�m not out of touch.
And whenever you rejoice in your freedom to fly,
Look up, and remember how I brought you the sky.

One lovely Thursday
in the middle of May,
I decided the time to adopt
was that day.
To the Virtupet's Space Station
for a Grundo to find,
when I got there the clerk
thought I was out of my mind.
"Why do you want
one of THOSE?" she implored,
"They're not very nice pets,
you'll quickly be bored."

But I insisted I must,
there was no more she could do,
but to ask me to choose
between green, red, or blue.
I chose my new Grundo,
and I took him home.
Since then he's been
in school and the Battledome.
Always so grateful,
just to be free,
there are others for others,
and my Grundo for me.

A Cloud Kau
Enters the Battledome
She is armed,
With the best of weapons
And Healing Potions
She faces her opponent
With a sassy grin
Saying,
"I'm going to beat you!"

The Scorchio just stares
Bewildered
Knowing that if he loses
His owner will turn him into a Mutant

His life is at stake
Handsome, glossy red fur
Will soon be changed
To murky, leathery skin
He pulls out his one weapon
A meager Red Frost Cannon

He shoots a blast at the Kau
Who feels no blow
She shoots her superior Black Frost Cannon
And the Scorchio can barely keep his balance
The Kau sees her owner
Cheering and smiling at her
Telling her that if she loses, it's all right

But the other owner is different
A snarl on his face,
Cursing the Scorchio under his breath
Suddenly, the Kau sees what is happening
And knows what to do

With the next blow from the Scorchio
She falls from the ground
The battle is won

The Kau's owner does not mind
But embraces her instead
Saying, "I love you, no matter what,"
