The Lupe's View
By Sunkissed185
At the top of my mountain,
I sometimes stand.
Watching the happy cubs play;
Looking down on my land.
I am glad I found this place,
There's always something surprisin'.
As I watch the sunset in the sky,
Faintly set below the horizon.
I hear a howl and howl back,
Lucky we can communicate.
I see a mother pick up their cub,
He's glad to not look so desolate.
I feel the cool grass,
And chime like bells.
I taste glorious water,
And smell sweet-nature smells.
Time to round up the young ones,
Time to settle in for the night.
Everyone goes to their dens,
I know my land is just right.

Poogle Race Hopes
By Sunspot101
I place my bet,
on Poogle 3,
and feed him some food,
to keep him speedy.
As I sit in the stands,
front row, you see
I wish and I hope
that he will win the Grand Prix!
So I watch as the Poogles
speed off into sight,
and wish, and hope, with all my might,
that Poogle 3 will win tonight.
I take off my cap,
as the wind blows by,
Poogle 3 did not win,
My Neopets feel my sorrow,
that's okay,
there's another race tommorrow!

Faraway Dreams
By wackyjacky76
To fly
among the glittering stars
and feel the wind
rustling in my feathers
is only a faraway dream.
To dance
among the other Bruces
and taste the victory
that I have won
is only a faded dream.
To see
The Faerie Queen
and hear her gentle voice
as I stand in her glorious presence
is only an unreachable dream.
To dream
and then wake
only to find
that it is reality
is hope that never dies.

Another View of the Pound
By Cyberwolf101
Many Neopians consider The Pound
to be an evil, dingy, horrid place.
But to a Neopet like me, it's heaven.
Out on the street, there's nothing to eat
in The Pound you get three meals a day.
So what if they're small, they're something to eat at least!
Out on the street, you have no bed or heat,
in The Pound you get a cot and a blanket.
So what if they're dirty, at least you have them!
On the street you have no chance of a home,
in The Pound, you have a chance of adoption!
So what if the chance is small, at least it's a chance!
Out on the street, you could never write,
in The Pound you can write a poem!
So what if it's quick and small, at least it's
a poem that's read by all Neopians!

Atop the Frigid Mountain (The Snow Faerie)
By Thoughtsnatcher
Atop the frigid mountain,
she stands anticipating.
Nestled in an icy parka,
she is a contemplating existence.
Her face is ghostly white,
and her eyes a glacial blue.
Her hair is ebony, like the raven's back,
and her lips the color of frozen hearts.
The cynical countenance upon her face
release an emotion of sympathy.
Why, Snow Faerie, do you wait about this mountain?
Lift your wings and fly away!
But all she asks is assistance.
Find these articles for her,
that's all that she wants.
Curiosity grips at your gut and nags.
Why is she there,
just waiting for something,
atop the frigid mountain?
