Sloth Appreciation Day is here,
To celebrate a brilliant mind.
At the festivities in Virtupets,
I wonder what you'll find?

Bowls of Sloth Day Pasta,
Rows of Glistening Sloth Statues,
Perhaps a horde of fans
In all their best Sloth costumes.

And of course, pictures upon pictures
Of the great Dr. Frank Sloth.
But wait! One has been defaced,
Surely it will incur his wrath?

Now Sloth has two pointy horns,
And scribbled sparkles all around.
(Really, it would have been better
If they had just drawn a crown.)

His eyebrows got bushier,
And now he sports a goatee.
Who could have done this,
A distasteful travesty?

Quick! Hide the portrait,
Away from prying eyes!
Dr. Sloth is coming,
To let him see it is unwise.

But where do we hide it?
Where shall it drop?
I know the perfect place.
The Neopian Gift Shop!

No one will ever find it,
It's the perfect ruse.
Until the shopkeeper decides
To have it reproduced!

A Mutant's Ode to Dr. Sloth

All hail our benevolent leader Sloth!
Without him, us marvelous mutants would be lost
Really, we wouldn’t even exist.
And us adorable darling mutants would be so very missed!
For Sloth invented Transmogrification Potions,
And please, don’t get caught up in any outdated notions.
As mutants we love our gross looks!
We like our slime, tentacles, fangs, and hooks.
Mutants are great, Dr. Sloth is even greater!
Anyone who says otherwise is just a stinky hater!
Now maybe his plans for world domination haven’t gone well
But, that’s okay, we still think he’s swell!
In addition to being an evil genius he’s an athlete!
A gormball champion who can’t be beat!
That isn’t even the end of his accomplishments!
You ought to be giving him far more compliments,
The title Dr. Isn’t just for show,
He’s got a PHD, didn’t you know?
So many Neopians might hate him,
But a Neopia without Dr. Sloth sounds so very grim
So today, join in the celebration!
Let’s praise the greatest scientist of his generation!
Thank you Dr. Sloth, for making a mutant out of me,
I wouldn’t have it any other way, yippee!

Frank Sloth Rules Mortals: An Ode to our Overlord

Foolish residents, it's that time of year,
Ruthless Dr. Sloth gets all of our cheer.
All around Neopia, citizens shall bow.
Not sure who he is? The time to learn is now!
Kneel before Sloth, and hear his story loud and clear.

Species unknown, he exceeds the strength all Neopians, 
Little does he care about non-Grundo plebeians.
Oh, Sloth is nasty, he's the scariest villain -
The Return of Doctor Sloth was truly quite chilling!
How long has he been in Neopia? Well, it could have been eons!

Renowned for his towering height, you'll know when he's present.
Unforgiving and evil, disobey him and repent -
Lest you insult Grundos, for you'll certainly feel his wrath, 
Even those who are his biggest fan avoid crossing his path.
Space Faerie, beware - you've been deemed a nemesis with intent.

Many may wonder, "Why not Sloth Month, instead of Sloth Day?"
Of course, the reason is, a month's time can lead Neopians astray.
Ridiculous, it would be, to dedicate a whole month to Frank -
True Sloth fans celebrate-year round, for they recognize his swank.
Aware of his own worth, Sloth won't beg for your attention, but
Leaving yourself out of this holiday is sure to cause tension.
So join me, mortal, in celebrating Sloth, and recognize you, he may!

Long ago, (long ago) in a time that few would know,
He'd discovered a planet devoid
Of life at all, and that's where he would call

Grass had burst all through the ground

Our beautiful planet, full of plants like clover,

"A Grundo tried to stand up to him,
The next day? Fled!
Not one but three different plots where he's seeing red, 
With plans like a storm cloud gathered in his bald head--
What's coming next? The thought fills me with dread!" 

"He told me, 'Esterhazy,
You're loyal and destined for glory someday.'
He told me that his power would heighten,
Just wait for that beautiful day!" 

"That's not what I heard...
He told me that Neopia's dreams
Would be just out of reach, 
For his latest invention
Would bring it to its knees:
I can hear it rumbling now..." 

"Oh, that Doctor
Mira would say something but he's locked her
Away, it's likely he's got her--!"
What is up with that Doctor?"

I paid my Neopoints to own
An autograph, but here I groan!
A sig from Dr. Sloth appeals,
Yet what I got just isn't real.

I should have known. Too cheap it was!
It wasn't worth the massive buzz.
Now, here I sit--I've been ripped off!
This is a bootleg. I will scoff.

I hope the cheat who swindled me
Regrets his pure dishonesty.
I'll take a ray gun, favoured arm
Of Dr. Sloth, and cause alarm.

The crook will soon regret his ways
When lasers leave him in a daze.
I'll take my money back and run
While getting sweet revenge--how fun!

When I emerge victorious,
I'll surely make a massive fuss.

A Case for Mutation

As quite a wretched thing
But I am here to show you all
The good that this will bring!

Has someone ever told you that
You're boring, simple, plain?
Now they can see how bright you are
By seeing your great big brain!

Has your boss ever come to you
With some absurd demands?
Well, think how easy it'd be
If you had extra hands!

And just think of all the uses
For an extra pair of eyes!
For seeing things from every side
They would be quite the prize!

An extra tentacle or two
Will brighten any day!
They wriggle, jiggle, and they make
A magical display!

So as you see, dear reader
Mutation's not so bad!
So take a swig of Sloth's best brew
And see what makes it rad!

Misunderstood Dr. Sloth

Another Dr. Sloth Day is upon us,
and you may wonder why the fuss?
He is a green beast, a villain,
But there is so much more, let me fill you in.

Sir Sloth landed in Neopia far before Neopets dawned,
with endless creatures he spawned,
in his underground lair he worked magic,
Neopia's first light destroyed it, how tragic!?

Inspired by Virtupets, he constructed a space station,
minting Grundos as his own creation,
all the while creating a fearsome laser,
striking fear into many a stargazer. 

The Space Faeries defeated Sloth,
freeing the Grundos and liberating Neopia both,
until he returned with vengeance to release a Rock Beast,
but Brucey jumped in and his plot ceased.

Over the years, murmurs arise,
spies claim Sloth is behind all manner of demise.
Rumors say he floats around space,
secretly plotting without a trace.

But, perhaps, he is just misunderstood? 
Too much algae under his hood.
A mutated sloth eager for love,
misconceptions clinging to him like a glove.

Someday his brilliance may prove insightful,
in a time when Neopia once again becomes frightful.
And Neopians will proclaim his talent,
as Dr. Sloth is finally proclaimed gallant.

An Ode (I Guess) to Sloth

This is the day
dedicated to Sloth
whom I must admit
fascinates me a lot
Neopians describe him
as a genius terror
yet he gave me an avatar
so that might be an error
Sloth may not have
the best reputation
but how can one not like
Virtupets Space Station?
Grundos consider him
heinous and vile
but I I secretly admire
his coolly dark style.
Whether you consider him
villainous or not
I will always be in awe
of Dr. Frank Sloth.
