Flight of the Elephante

O, to ride upon an Elephante's tiny little wings,
high above the reach of any angry Buzz's biting sting.
In the sky they find welcome in the sun's glowing gleam
and the warm lift of wind in their perfect, happy dream. 
There is nothing to fear in that endless shining blue,
where joy and great fun are the only things to pursue.

And when a giant, gentle Elephante takes flight
with a great herd of friends they make quite a sight.
From an emerald field they take one big leap
and then their little wings begin to beat, beat, beat! 
It is with a mysterious magic that they are able to fly
into the bright glittering dawn of an early morning sky.

All day beneath the sun and above the hills they swing,
and soon with great delight they begin to sing.
Laughter echoes brighter than any bubbling stream
as they dance through clouds the color of cotton and cream.
From across the land the trumpeting of Elephante trunks ring true,
their voices clear as a crisp drop of spring time dew. 

The Elephante do not stop their play until the failing of the light,
when comes the slow fall of an inky-black night.
They swoop and they circle as that velvet dark grows deep
for they know that they must soon return to the earth to sleep.
So with stars twinkling high they raise their great trunks and cry,
ʹ'Goodnight, dear friends! Until tomorrow, farewell, goodbye!'ʹ

Elephantes, Big Great Friends!

Elephantes are funny and majestic creatures 
Their floppy ears and trumpeting cheers
Are quite the features. 

They use their trunks for greeting and eating 
And let’s not forget the occasional cleaning! 

Throwing dust in the air, 
Swinging and singing,
The Elephantes trunks are clean
And ready for feasting. 

Their ears flap in delight, 
As they take a big bite, 
The peanuts they’re eating
Cause them all to start cheering. 

Elephantes are not only funny and majestic creatures
They also tend to be teachers
They help their young become brave and behave 
Although going up against a mouse,
Might make them move to another house. 

But it’s okay if they’re not always courageous
Their big hearts help them stay gracious.
An Elephante's body is monumental, 
But that doesn’t mean they aren’t gentle. 

So please do not ever fret
At the sight of this friend
For an Elephante will be there for you
Until the very end.

Baby’s First Elephante Day

It’s quiet in the nursery,
‘fore the baby pets arrive
The teachers hang the banners,
Blow balloons, and write “Surprise!”

The bell rang out, and in they came:
A baby pet parade,
All quiet and polite except,
One Elephante babe.

He marched around the room in awe,

He knew the decorations here
Were for his very eyes!

His friend, the baby flotsam, crooned:
“You have so much to say”

What Shape is an Elephante?

Elephantes are friend shaped, that’s what I say!
That’s what I’m here to convince you of on Elephante day!
Could any other pet combine the best features of all? 
You can try to name some, but would be met with appall! 
You think Cybunnies are cute with their cotton ball tail?
Yet Elephante tails, fluffier still, will prevail!
The hearts on a Blumaroo’s feet might be cute,
Still, Elephantes are cuter with a heart on their snoot.
Sure, Eyries are cool with their feathery wings
But when it comes to those, Elephantes are kings!
Their wings might be tiny, but don’t let that fool you,
Elephantes can fly and soar beautifully too!
Perhaps Skeiths have cute chubby tummies,
But Elephantes have them beat, round enough to look like jelly gummies!
Elephantes are perfect to hug and to cuddle.
Please just be careful when they get into a huddle.
Though they are cute and sweet as can be,
Getting your toe stepped on by one will feel quite cruddy.
If such a horror ever happened, fear not!
Elephantes are huggers and will hug till the pain is forgot! 
Loneliness has no place with an Elephante around!
The trumpeting of their trunk is the sweetest sound!
However, the most important part of an Elephante is beyond compare!
Their heart, of course, is filled with so much love and care!

Elephante Day Festivities

The regal Elephante unfurled her trunk,
Bellowing loudly for all to hear,
Stomping eagerly—clunk, clunk clunk,
All together for one mighty cheer!

It’s Elephante Day today let us all rejoice,
And join together to celebrate the festivities,
Shout out loud with your voice,
From the ground or up high in some trees.

Whether in the water or on land,
You’ll find a lovely Elephante friend,
For they’re strong swimmers who can also run on the sand,
And fly around Neopia Central from end to end.

Taking in the sights as they travel around,
Snacking on peanuts as they go,
Lots of things to explore in town,
Up above and down below.

The day has ended, our Elephante tired,
What a big day we had today!
A lot discovered and feeling inspired,
It’s time for a little nap in the hay.

The Elephante's Day

The Elephante arises, his head greeting the morn
And from his trunk, his greatest song, a big, triumphant horn
And everyone shall listen, to hear his music flair
From a house, a single shout, "BE QUIET OUT THERE!"

At Elephante breakfast time, it's the simplest to make:
A cup of juice right to the side of a big peanut cake!
He slurps and chomps and swallows down all his favorite foods
Every tasty bite puts him in the very best of moods!

The Elephante then steps outside, breathing in the air
His demeanor bright and peppy, he is without a care
As his neighbors pass him by, going out to play
He waves and jumps and squeals and shouts, "Today is my birthday!"

All his friends are happy, they join him in his fun
Everyone will play with him until the day is done
He opens all the presents, from very big to small
But friends that spend their time with him? The greatest gift of all

The Elephante now goes to sleep, he snuggles into bed
His teeth are brushed, his ears are clean, now he rests his head
Sleep comes to him quickly, like the pulling of a lever
And he knew without a doubt that it had been the best day ever
