Now I've been here for a year.
So many things have happened
On this site that I hold dear.

In just twelve months, such a short time,
So much has been repaired.
Now there's lots to do on Neopets,
There's so much fun to be shared!

We've had festivals, and quests and more,
And such unexpected delights.
Stamps, games, and avatars, beloved by all
The site is rising to new heights!

We've had AMAs, and a TCG,
And unconverted pets.
Conventions held around the world,
And soon worldwide birthday fêtes.

Yes, on this wonderful site of ours,
I've made friends from far and near.
So Happy Birthday Neopets...
Here's to another great year!

My first pet was a Red Korbat
(Way before they could wear a hat)
Followed by a Green Shoyru
Then first paint brush: a Sketch Blumaroo

Wheels spun and Meercas chased
A playground vast, no time to waste
Stock markets, shops, and faerie quests
Each login brought avatar tests

Over the years as life goes on 
The pull of Neopets is still strong
So at my laptop I will sit
Draw for the Art Gallery and submit

Friends are what makes Neopets fun 
So this goes out to everyone
Over the years in so many Guilds
Neomails and boards our friendship builds

Neopets means so much to me
With 25 years of activity

The Greatest Part of a Birthday

“It’s finally here! Hip hip hooray!
It’s finally Neopets’ 25th birthday!”
A Techo yelled as loud as he could.
He was so excited as he probably should.

This day was important and really quite fun.
There was so much to do that he began to run.
He ran to the parlour for a nice, quick groom.
Then he ran to his house to clean every room.

Once he was looking his best he went outside.
He excitedly looked from side to side.
Other pets were playing with glee. 
“They all are celebrating just like me!”

There were giveaways, great food, and more to do.
Where to start?  He was in a great mood!
The best part of this day was not all of the fun.
He did enjoy it, but something more had been done.

Every pet was united and rather quite close.
None were rude, and none would boast.
They all would celebrate and made amends.
Although it was temporary, on this day they were friends.

Next, we decided to train.

We can dance about and flail!

To the days that were filled with fun
And didn't require us to go out and run
a mouse, keyboard and screen
Is all you need to live the Neopian dream!

I’ve been a warrior in every plot
All-Star in the AC, is forever my spot
Faeries will never Wraith in fear,
Even if Sloth is always stirring the pot.

I know there are Avatars and prizes galore
That I earned with each and every score
New games, contests and events await
Of this I could always be sure

I’ll never forget my days
though the memories are only traces
Of humility at the Soup Kitchen
Or my victories in Poogle Races

TNT has always been good to me
Fun new games, plots and activities
I’ll never be able to truly thank them enough
For all of my favourite memories.

I can’t wait to see 
what’s to come in the next 25 years
Because without the World of Neopets
My eyes would be filled with tears.
